Holding them is the closest thing to perfection I have ever experienced in my whole life. I am the most fulfilled I have ever been, ever. Bonus tip for new dads!! Make sure you put a clean baby wipe over your child’s private area. It’ll give you a chance to get the diaper in the right position and for your child not to pee on you. My husband learned this the hard way. You don’t need to do anything crazy just to be sure there’s a clean baby wipes on the private area.

First time Dad here. My daughter was born on 13 November 2021. I try everything possible to maintain my cool when she's crying. She goes from 0 to 100 in a second and holds her breath. Her crying really gets to me sometimes and I do lose my temper. That's when the mom takes over. Sleepless nights hit hard. I've no "fatherly" or male support from anyone and pretty much anything I do is met with criticism or a resistance from the wife, or my mom. So yeah, I do everything I can for the house and everyone around me. I devise plans, schedules etc and always find new ways to make life easier for everyone. Anyway, I was happy to be a Dad but with so much negativity and lack of male support around me, I'm pretty on the right path of not giving a shit anymore thanks to the continuous resistance and being called stubborn and so on whenever I insist on things being done the right way.
Hate to hear you’ve been going through this my man. I’m 4 months out from becoming a new dad and I can say that there’s not nearly as much support or as many resources for us as there is for mothers. It’s difficult but I’m hella proud of you for doing anything you can to be there. You’re a good father for doing whatever it takes to provide security and love to your daughter regardless of what people may say. Parenting isn’t innate, and we all have to learn the new part of ourselves that comes with the birth of our child in addition to getting to know a little person that’s half of us. As a soon-to-be dad, you’ve got my support man. Don’t give up ✊🏾

I’m a new dad as well and what they teached me is to lay the new diaper underneathe the baby first before removing the old, this way you prevent the poop or pee on you changing pillow.

Honestly until you have been through it, especially with complicated labour's, there is no way to even phathom, how scary, emotional and beautiful the whole process of labour until birth is. And that's from a man's perspective, seeing your partner have to go through the whole ordeal is extremely difficult.
I thought it was difficult too. Before I never thought I could love my partner more than I did because I loved her so much. But once I watched her give birth, I fell in love all over again. Its so amazing and watching her nurse and having her and My baby in my arms is the closest thing to perfection I have ever felt. Laying there with them both is what I imagine heaven feels like

You will do great just focus now on learning all about labor and what your partner wants her birth experience to be like. Hope for best but plan for the worst. Great advice, my son was born this past Wednesday so these tips are really insightful.
Honestly until you have been through it, especially with complicated labour's, there is no way to even phathom, how scary, emotional and beautiful the whole process of labour until birth is. And that's from a man's perspective, seeing your partner have to go through the whole ordeal is extremely difficult.
I thought it was difficult too. Before I never thought I could love my partner more than I did because I loved her so much. But once I watched her give birth, I fell in love all over again. Its so amazing and watching her nurse and having her and My baby in my arms is the closest thing to perfection I have ever felt. Laying there with them both is what I imagine heaven feels like
My daughter is 2 months old..& this is not as easy as he makes it sound,,but it is good information.. i learned some good facts ..& excited to bond with her .. but shes been really fussy with me the last couple days .. %& im thanking that shes uncomfortable alot & very colicky.
