I find it amazing the joy and inspiration people have from their work. Something as simple as noodles and this gentleman treats it as serious as a heart surging would. I honestly thought this day and age, people use machines to make noodles. Its refreshing seeing someone take pleasure in handmaking their own meal such as this.

That's what makes it so good. It's just like art, you make your own version of a recipe and try to bring people together around it.
This man restored my faith in humanity. People keep talking about how you should do what you love and that you should just do it, bruh, shut up. This man talking about noodles has had a better effect of motivation on me.

The chef has some innate connection with food. I felt he was in love. And these noodles didn't have any egg. I am so blown by japanese. They are so humble and yet perfect in the things they do.

What amuses and equally fascinates me about traditional japanese is everything is an art. Everything that is done is a specialty and isn't done without purpose. Something as simple as making noodles is taken extremely seriously, made in a Gi, practiced for 8 years and the individual dedicates their life to it. Its noodles.

I was making pasta tonight, complaining about the fact I don't have the proper machinery to do it...then this master makes perfect soba with only his hands and some sticks. I'll never complain again. I'm gonna try harder.
