They were his enemies and stood in his way, but because he understood their reasons why and could sympathize with it, he wished to face them without any cruelty or sadism, and ensured their bodies would be cared for after they fell.
In the books you get so lost in how amazing the fight is you actually feel like Ainz has met his match and is going to lose. He turned off his physical damage negation for the fight, or whatever his ability that makes him take no damage from people lower level than him. When he turns the ability back on and becomes invincible you get pulled back to reality that he out classes this fight. Damn I forgot how good those light novels are.

This is false information. There is no "physical seal" spell. The only thing Ainz did to make him weaker was turn off his physical damage negation so the Warrior King could actually land hits on him. Apart from that, Ainz is as strong as he normally would be.

yeah, its meant to be a mage weapon, but its so useless no one had any reason to actually use it in a fight (running would be a WAY better choice, rathen than fighting with no fighting skills)

Ainz has a couple more of these melee staves that we know of. There’s an unnamed staff that increases the bludgeoning damage dealt by the wielder, and there’s also the “Blasting Staff”, which deals a lot of Knockback on contact.

Not many can claim to have faced the Sorcerer King in battle and lived. While he technically died, the Warrior King still has an outstanding story to tell.
This is my first time realizing it but he used greater hide reinforcement so that means he is stronger than brain who could barely handle greater ability boost
It's both funny and sad that we're this many seasons in, and still the only real fight we've seen in the entire series was Ainz vs. Shalltear all the way back in season 1.
Brain with his potions and buffs if aims for the head would be able one shot Go Gin but would succumb to exhaustion and damage he caused to his own body. Gazef with his treasures would no diff Go Gin. Two of them together without buffs and treasures would be able to take Go Gin down but individually it would be almost impossible.

Some. Any fights involving characters from the old world are a forgone conclusion, but there are characters in the new world who do struggle with battles with unsure outcomes. A lot of the show is dreading the moment your favorite new world character ends up face to face with an old world character.
Question how can anyone enjoy a fight where the main character is not in a single ounce of danger of even slightly getting hurt and this is just a glorfied flex session

Someone finally said it, the flexing is cool in the first 3 or MAYBE 4 episodes, afterwards unless it has comedic elements, like OPM were you know Saitama is not taking that shit seriously , you end up with a bully protagonist, cause even on the political side of things, no one is smarter than Albedo and Demiurg. I love the character designs the epic openings...but the story as it goes on is rinse and repeat, same old cycle Ainz shows up fucks up whoever, they all scream sasuga AINZ SAMA or some shit and he enslaves innocent humans as his prize on his way out to be used in painful experiments by his sadistic homies. I wish they could even, HANDICUP HIM SOMEHOW, some underhanded spell blocker, or make the fights intellectual battles, put something he cares about on the line if he is too stong to be hurt, i just need to feel something as i watch this, it sucks cause Overlord has so much potential
The Shalltear fight remains the closest in the series. Won purely through skill and foreknowledge instead of raw power. If it was the opposite, if Shallchair ambushed Ainz, he'd likely lose, albeit we know he definitely has emergency escape items on him at all times

As far as I know in the LN, the staff Ainz used in this battle is actually a decorative spear and not a staff that usually mage classes use
