I really do like that, at least this one time, Ainz openly explains that his intentions are aspirational rather than the dictates of the soulless monster he usually lets people assume they are. Sure, he openly acknowledges why the latter method wouldn’t work here, but to so forthrightly tell the guildmaster that he wants the same things that the guild and its members want is a genuinely refreshing change from his usual acquiescence to monstrosity.
I feel like his monstrous goals are not even through him but through demiurge who ironically got them from Ainz when Momonga was still in his video game mentality so yes I understand what you said at least I think but at the same time I don't completely agree

He makes serious mistakes and immoral choices because he gives into peer pressure of the npc expecting an evil overlord. But on rare times, the real Satoru shines through. Like here for instance.
