Yeah they regularly used the same actors in different roles. The armored truck robber fat guy when Sipowiz went undercover as renting them the heavy gun with armor piercing shells also was into at least other episodes.
Ohhh, actress Charlotte Ross the actress she was playing another part, not as an undercover, so she had a character part before they brought her back as a series regular to play a detective.
@Jonathan Birch I would say 2003 to 2007 (at the latest) is my personal gauge for the death of TV. But either way, you're right, TV died in that time period for sure! And, we might argue about when it died exactly, but I am sure that we can all agree that anything on TV beyond 2010 is absolute garbage...along with most music past 2010!

Which is part of the reason this scene is one of the more memorable ones in the season. The way he holds his fork,chews his food,slurps his beer, mannerisms,facial expressions,NY accent , it’s great and underrated acting! Charlotte’s character at the end saying “He confessed and I didn’t say cold….” Horrified ,scared and proud all at once……. I miss this show being on the air.
Poor trigger discipline. Both with their fingers on the trigger. Especially bad when he grabs the perp's head with is other hand because he can have a sympathetic squeeze of the other hand. Common flaw in NYPD Blue.
