The Losi Promoto-MX isn’t the first scale RC motorcycle that’s ever been sold. But it is the very first one that accurately reproduces the full experience - and pure fun - of riding a real motorcycle. It’s the long-awaited dream of RC hobbyists and dirt bike fans alike.

Promoto-MX electronics include a 2700Kv motor and steel flywheel that are both mounted in the center of the frame. The motor spins the flywheel at over 22,000 rpm to create a gyroscopic force for unparalleled stability. Meanwhile, patent-pending Spektrum MS6X technology takes your input from the DX3PM transmitter and commands the Promoto-MX to lean, turn, and control wheelies with unprecedented balance and finesse.
The mechanical technology is equally impressive. Losi’s product development team studied full-size motorcycle suspension geometry to give the Promoto-MX the same terrain handling characteristics. A rising rate rear suspension provides superior grip and prevents bottoming out in landings. The completely new front fork design, with an internal spring and dampener, can be tuned by changing the silicone dampening fluid and also allows ride height adjustments. An innovative front and rear wheel braking system gives the bike impressive stopping power, cutting the stopping distance in half compared to rear brake only.
Both technologies, electronic and mechanical, are why the Promoto-MX performs better at high and low speeds than any previous RC motorcycle. I’ve tried all the others and they work ok but you seem to have really worked on fixing the problems they all have! I can see these taking off with the way rc scale stuff has taken off! PS= in all seriousness, this is very neat. I still have my Graupner RC motorcycle from the 90s. This makes me want to fix that old lady, and pick this one up to resume 2-wheeled RC fun.

RC bikes aren't new...I've had the 1/4 Scale Himoto Burstout for a long time and the limitations with older bikes...like the rear wheel gyro and tank slapper wobble on Acceleration looks to be a thing of the past. The Himoto will still do 45+mph but again it's old tech. Ultra fun though.
Having a frame mounted gyro and mechanical front brake...aswell as spoked (molded) wheels looks epic!!
I'm getting one for sure. $900+AUD is an easy spend for something that is this awesome out of the box!

I built my first RC car in 1989 and it was a Losi Pro SE and it absolutely ripped and was so much more durable than my buddies’ famous stadium blitzer and team associated RC10s! I’ll have to get a couple of these and built my first backyard track in 30 years!

I see alot of comments about the price being too much.. as a person that works on electronics and management in production, this is actually a good price point for what you are getting and has alot of cool tech features for it to all work. If this was made in USA the price will be way more, nothing wrong with made over sea products as long it gets quality control and good customer services which losi provides specially when new items are hot sellers whice this will be.
Cant wait to see all the mods people will do to this 🤟 2s is more than enough power for this all about balance and putting the power down.
Ill be getting one 🙂 turn into a beach sand runner once the paddle tires come for it 😁
$600 for a RTR set up is not bad at all. Anyone who has gotten into professional R/C racing can see how cheap this really is. I've got more than that in batteries for my toys lol.

Guy at our track picked one up, broken in the first 5 minutes of run time (horizon customer service use to be great but as it is now they told him to kick rocks) and zero jumps involved. Finally got it fixed and the broke again one the 2nd battery being run thru it. He did the smart thing and sold it off. The new owner will have to deal with the 3rd break lol

It looks really good and congratulations on an epic project! Amazing how you got it to ride so well and keep it looking scale. I hope we see a load of upgrade parts for this and it sells well. Unfortuntunetly the UK price is shocking just how much more it is vs the US price and unfortunately, this will have a massive impact on UK unit sales :(

So the UK are being charged £791 which is the equivalent of more than $1000 USD. It looks like fun, but not worth paying almost double what they are in the US. You can keep them!

This platform probably works best as an on road bike. They need to incorporate the Kyosho hang on rider (the figure shift left/right with each leg sticking depending what turn in) because the way this rider’s head bobbing takes away from the realism. The gyro would work well for leaning in to a turn on a smooth surface. If they do incorporate a hang on rider for road racing, put knee sliders too 😀
If it becomes a huge sucess consider making a Ninja version that's high speed 60mph+... so cool though so far

As a long time fan of Losi (still proudly own an all original LST & LST 2) I’m happy for a Company to finally get a motorcycle right.
My only issue is the price. Yea you’re gonna sell them to the hard core enthusiast, but to really get a lot of people to buy them to help the hobby explode I think the RTR version’s price needed to start with a $4.
If it did and when Horizon sold a ton of them I could see the bmx venue’s allowing them there and to set up races. I know our local BMX track doesn’t allow us to race our electric or nitro vehicles there, but they would if a lot of people started buying these. Which they would if the pricing was more attractive to them.
We’ll have to wait and see who’s right.

@@diceNdiceN Yes .. I love mine it's so fun and takes a beating. Only thing I would recommend is get some cheap dollar store gloves with that rubber grip on the fingers and cut the finger off and put it on the rider's elbow to save the jersey from tearing up so quick. Other than that it's a blast. Top speed is 40mph and wheelies are too much fun
A road version would be cool, maybe World Superbike or MotoGP?

BE VERY CAREFUL before buying ANYTHING from LOSI when you live in Europe.
Losi/Horizon simply discontinued the supply of essential spare parts.
For example,
The Losi Tenacity DB pro is still sold new throughout Europe but a center driveshaft can no longer be purchased in Europe.
I think it is unacceptable, you pay 560,- Euro for an rc car and Horizon simply stops supplying essential spare part
I've send an email to Horizon but their reply was simply, "We can no longer order them".
If this is the way Losi/Horizon treats their costumers I will never ever buy anything from Losi again.
They used to have the best customer service in the industry but unfortunately that is a thing of the past, I truly feel bad for you blokes across the pond because of the crazy high mark up you gotta pay for their products and now not being able to fix the things you pay crazy ass $ money for. Horizon is a sinking ship, I was a loyal fan boy for many years but after having a DX6 brick on me while still under warranty and the giant hassle that became of trying to get it fixed I put it on the shelf and have completely gotten rid of every spektrum and horizon product in my shop. Went from having 20+ of their airplanes and helicopters to only having one airplane but it now has a futaba receiver in it. I hate even saying all this but it's the truth and the people that "know" know it's damn well the truth. RIP Horizon

Running joke in the industry,,,overpriced and getting worse.
Many of our customers are actually afraid to buy a Losi anymore.
Poor quality metal trans gears in most of the stuff they release.
I've even seen Horizon rc's with over 20 positive reviews and they still dump it for some odd reason.
Don't get me wrong I love it all but its a shame what's become of this industry.

HH is a well run company and rarely releases a product without adequate supply chain logistics worked out. Based on other releases, I'd say they will start shipping Early August.
@@johnfaustus1 let just say that we are under promising and over delivering when we say July... however the longer people wait to pre-order the lower you fall on the list. And if we over sell then it goes on back order

La tengo desde hace un mes y es una pasada, le he gastado unas 10 baterias y sin problema, lo unico es que sobre las 5 baterias se tiene que tensar la cadena porque corres el riesgo de que se salga la dobles y tengas que pasar por caja, es lo unico delicado que veo lo demas tiene pinta de aguantar mucha caña y mas que yo no doy saltos ni nada de eso, recomendable al 100%
