IMO their is the best release this year for sure. 110% getting one of these. Had a radio shack Ricky Carmichael one as a kid and drove it until you couldn't get parts to fix it anymore now it just sets on a shelf and looks cool. But the losi I can only imagine the aftermarket support that's going to come with it. I seen proline already has holeshot tires and supermoto tires for it
I think it will be Horizon's best surface model of the year. Not sure about all the industry, but top 3 overall for sure. I would buy one, if there was a chance for some sort of club racing in my area. I'd need two, as my daughter would need one as well.

The level of design and engineering in this bike is impressive! I can imagine a bunch of these things battling it out on a scale motocross track! Seems like maintenance costs could be high though, real chains and brakes to maintain! Not to mention having to buy new riding gear for the little pilot because his clothes wore out again! Thanks for the detailed video!
Nothing new the nitro cars have disk brakes and some are belt driven those need to replaced too they’re surprisingly inexpensive but I don’t know about chains
I remember at least 10 years ago my dad was really into rc sport bikes. He had all nitro bikes from Nuova and also ThunderTiger. No gyro on them so they took some talent to drive! It looks like Losi has done a great job on this! I’d love to see a supermoto setup!

The way this thing handles jumps looks amazing. I actually ran not walked to preordered this. IMO going to be hard for these to stay on the shelves.
Been dreaming of bike like this since I was a kid. What an amazing machine. To jump like that, the weight balance and shocks have to be functional and tuned right. My favorite part is the amount of trick parts they already have available for when you eventually bend or break the stock stuff.

What people dont get is, Losi clearly says it never attempted to make something that is "new". RC Bikes existed for years. Instead, they wanted to make a bike that is rideable out of the box for everyone. Like the title says, "Finally, an RC Motorcycle that works"
Losi is always innovating. When they put something new out, you know it's going to be good. I have every Losi release since 1997 XX CR Kinwald Edition. They used to be a skateboard designer company before RC cars. I never knew that until I watched the History of Losi video 5 years ago. I can't wait to get my ProMoto X. I race outdoor motocross so I'm super excited. This was an awesome review. You always put out the best review content. I hope we can get different color plastics or sticker kits to match our real dirt bikes.
Losi seems to be all in on this. They have options for it, Proline is already showing options. I bet decal companies will jump in. This thing is going to be big. They did an amazing job. Thank you for the kind words!
Innovating? There nothing innovative here. Bikes like this exist for years. I recently bought a similar one from a rc distributor in Germany for 99€ on sale. Granted no cloth jersey or things like this. But funcionality wise the exact same bike. And horizon hobby has the audacity to Charge 600bucks???😱

Epic!! Well done Losi and awesome review. I've got a few bikes, my 1/4 scale Himoto MX is the same size and once setup right, it rips!! Great scale size and handles bumps better than smaller bikes. This thing is on another level with different modes and electric gyro. I'm getting one for sure!!!
I have the old Ricky Carmichael dirt bike, it's right much bigger but needs all new electronics, Very cool to see Losi come out with a dirt bike, wheelies and jumps NIIIIICE 👌🏻

ah man, this is huge. Could trigger a rc bike renaissance. Not cheap but looks good. The side wheels could be rubber and bearings though. Probably a hopup soon enough. I'm getting one.
I had one of the Jeremy McGrath dirt bikes. When i was in my early teens i think. I believe it was made by tyco but it was A lot of fun. I could only imagine how amazing that performs. Your ride at Redwood look awesome 😎
I've been watching a few (too much videos) and it would make an awesome base for a snow bike conversion... now I have another project! It would be nice as a snowbike but i think the first upgrade would need to be the swing arm
This model is a masterpiece, great job! A breakthrough in RC bikes will come when someone invents some next-gen gyros and two-axis directional turning (body control and countersteer).
I know for a fact this is gonna change kids childhood. I love Losi even out the sport as I popped up as recommended as I don’t race anymore but things sweet might have to get one.
An RC dirtbike is not a new idea but it looks like Losi did a good job on this, price tag is a bit high for a kind of gimmicky thing though. As far as cool factor it is very high, but the price really makes it a no go for me. I could see this being a hit at 299-or even 349 and selling out during a holiday sale. Great video as always!

I'm not a huge fan of dirtbiking, but this is really cool to see a very detailed and conventionally working RC version. Haven't seen one in years. Great job Losi

This is so EPIC it has to be the most innovative product in the last 20 years in RC. LOSI, it seems have gone above and beyond with the thought they have put into this and it shows. Can't wait to see both on and off-road races with these and imagine if the bring out MOTO GP replicas. They won't keep them on the shelves. Always been a LOSI fan and I already buy their products. This is just cream, and anyone that thinks this is just another RC bike doesn't understand what they are looking at. All IMHO of course.
So cool, well done Losi. I wonder if the side wheels could become unnecessary when someone gets good enough at driving it. Looks like they’re very helpful for catching mistakes, but they might hold the bike back from turning as well as possible.
Finally got one of these and man oh man I haven’t seen people talking about them much anymore but that’s a completely new experience for me and very glad I finally got around to getting one! I should have re-watched your video first before just trying to wing it lol a lesson learned was that the different modes are there for a reason 😂..
I have the Ricky Carmichal dirt bike from radio shack. Swapped the electronics , motor and rc stuff. It used to have a brushed motor that I swapped for a modem brushless. Way faster than it was I recommend getting a rc dirt bike. So much fun
At first look, $600 seems like a big ask. But honestly, given that it's gyro-stabilized and is 100% RTR out of the box, it seems like really, really solid value. Probably won't wind up in my stable, but this really looks like an easy buy for anyone into RC motorcycling.
Can't wait to see if losi is going to do a street bike version? Would be awesome. This is a really badass bike. The aftermarket parts and different colors are badass. Can't wait until mine shows up.
I use to cover everything rc dirt bikes. I created a Ryan Villopoto replica with the VMX450 1/4 bike. The bike in this vid is based on an original design from Italy called the Arx540. Looks like Losi used that as the base and made some nice upgrades. Two mods this bike could use to make it perfect would be foam inserts for the tires and oil damping for front forks. Other than that, congrats to Losi for a great looking product. ❤
That's awesome. I tried an RC bike like 18 years ago with the nitro Ducati and it wasn't near this good lol. I still have it but it just sits on the shelf. They're going to need a paddle tire for this bike!

Ive lost a lot of respect for Losi in the last 10-12 years but have to admit that this is pretty cool. The motor(s) and all other electronics are very cleverly placed.
Very interesting pre-ordered mine! Last bike I recall was the 1/4 scale one by Venom and while it looked cool the actual drivability wasn't all that good. Looking forward to what this one does. :)
I remember driving the Venom, it looked cool, but it was kinda stressful to drive, you constantly had to be on point driving it. This bike almost drives like a car. You get to enjoy it rather than worry about it. Have fun when it arrives!

I’m sure we’re going to see a lot of aftermarket support for this. You may be right with the lean bar wheels.
Also you could make them in different lengths for more lean angle, may even work with them off if you are skillful enough

I have the Ricky Carmichal dirt bike from radio shack. Swapped the electronics , motor and rc stuff. It used to have a brushed motor that I swapped for a modem brushless. Way faster than it was

At first look, $600 seems like a big ask. But honestly, given that it's gyro-stabilized and is 100% RTR out of the box, it seems like really, really solid value. Probably won't wind up in my stable, but this really looks like an easy buy for anyone into RC motorcycling.
We in the UK have to pay an equivalent $888 (£700) for this, so go and get one for me to enjoy for yourself!
Just seen it listed for £791 from Make It Build It which is ridiculous. That's the equivalent of over $1000

600 for the se, comes with battery, the other options were 550 no battery

thats cool, they moved the gyro to the lower part of the frame. back in the day they were built into the rear hub.

I use to cover everything rc dirt bikes. I created a Ryan Villopoto replica with the VMX450 1/4 bike. The bike in this vid is based on an original design from Italy called the Arx540. Looks like Losi used that as the base and made some nice upgrades. Two mods this bike could use to make it perfect would be foam inserts for the tires and oil damping for front forks. Other than that, congrats to Losi for a great looking product. ❤
The video the video said the front forks ARE oil damped.

Tip from a former dirt bike rider, careful application of heat from a hair dryer or heat gun will take those stress marks out of the rear plastics.

That's awesome. I tried an RC bike like 18 years ago with the nitro Ducati and it wasn't near this good lol. I still have it but it just sits on the shelf. They're going to need a paddle tire for this bike!
My TTR Ducati bike sits on the shelf as well. Paddles would be awesome!

Finally an RC motorcycle that actually drives well. Back in the day when Kyosho made RC motorcycles you had to be really good to drive them more than 50 feet😂

The stunt cycle was pretty awesome then. But yeah this is on the epic side of things.

Ive lost a lot of respect for Losi in the last 10-12 years but have to admit that this is pretty cool. The motor(s) and all other electronics are very cleverly placed.

Last bike I recall was the 1/4 scale one by Venom and while it looked cool the actual drivability wasn't all that good.
Looking forward to what this one does. :)
I remember driving the Venom, it looked cool, but it was kinda stressful to drive, you constantly had to be on point driving it. This bike almost drives like a car. You get to enjoy it rather than worry about it. Have fun when it arrives!
