Its crazy when you think about how far ahead this bike is compared to other rc bikes. Seriously impressive tech and build quality. No doubt one of the best rc released lately.
I have the old Ricky Carmichael dirt bike, It doesn't come anywhere close to this bike other than looks, I'd love to upgrade it with these electronics...

20ish years ago when the Savage first came out I built one entirely out of billet aluminum, Kevin's right! That thing weighed 31lbs and cost over $3000 to build 😂🤦 I only drove it once and then shelved it because I didn't want it to get scratched 😣 NEVER AGAIN!! I've bought a few 2k aluminum savages on craigslist/offer up over the years, each one was like $350 lol
i did the same with a Losi Muggy, whole damn thing was aluminum and it bent something every time it crashed or it would cook a clutch because it was so heavy.
Mating season
i spent AU600 on a thundertiger or whatever it was. another 200 or so on a decent Os engine... then once i figured them out... was hooked.
bits of fibreglass for main chassis, molds for casting rubber wheels, twin front discs, tuned pipes... probably spent $10K over the years but enjoyed every minute of it!
whereas these kit things with gyroscopes and bling just have no appeal to me. i prefer to rely on geometry, proper frame design, and skill... bikes are in a league of their own, the only RC vehicle that actually scales down without looking... stupid? cars never corner to "scale". planes and helis need compromises regards aero... but bikes always have to have the correct geometry or they simply dont work.
What a lovely bunch of coconuts all those upgrades are! Looks like a learning curve to figure out how to really drive it, sort of an acquired groove to be attained.
The slides in the end of the video are so cool. These drifts are so cool and the way how it handles are so cool. Very stylish bike. I am impressed of how they made this bike.
Your videos got me thru a very dark time back in 2022. Im forever greatful for this channel

I absolutely fell in love with these the first time I saw your video Kevin. As a ex semi-pro racer whos career was cut short after a spinal cord injury at age 20 many years ago who can't ride anymore this would allow me to at least relive some memories through this RC dirt bike and rip around mimicking years past. Unfortunately life's a wreck and without airing out my life story just can't afford one anytime soon but hopeful one day can and upgrade it just as I did my real bikes. Thanks Kevin 👊

Best part of this video: 11:59 Losis gyro freaking out 😂😂. What happens at 13:16 is downright amazing! I am in full awe about what this bike can handle 😮.
I think when you do things like this you risk accidentally removing deliberately engineered weak points that are meant to protect more expensive bits (like the metal chassis). It looks sick but a massive impact now risks bending/ripping out fixings in the chassis.
I accidentally did that to my chinese amazon 4x4 buggy lol cracked the tub right where the lower control arms mount into the frame on the first crash after installing the parts.

The amount of skill kev has with working on rc's is insane. I would have never figured out how to put that whole bike back together. It would have took me like a week to figure it out at least.

It is insane. Aluminium is by no means à priori better quality than modern plastics. (It is from Losi, not tamiya.)
Looks mint, as an enduro rider, these rc bikes are one the coolest toys out there. Not sure but those triple claps looks to be the wrong way round 😅

Green! Fully GPM’d out. Some vitavon too. Absolute blast! No noticeable negative going all aluminum. Haven’t broken anything yet. I beat the crap out of it too

Soooo, if you go off a jump and hit the wheelie mode to initiate the rotation, then floor it with the "keep down" to bring it around, (maybe quick toggle for more than one)... Maybe... Just maybe.......... BACKFLIPS!?!? No clue but man this thing looks really amazing!

Back in the late 90s or early 2000’s I remember having the Travis Pastrana RC dirtbike and that thing was so ahead of its time especially considering it was sold in big box stores and not hobby shops.

Yah i love Treal. I had their servo saver and metal X-maxx servo upgrade on my old Maxx and it changed it so much.

I did something similar with my Latrax Teton. So I got Aluminum Hubs,Driveshaft,Arms and Diff Cases. Planning on Shock Towers.

Where I am it's 6:30am -10 plus whatever that windchill is. Everything is frozen and slicker than snot. Still have now frozen snow and that's about 5in or more in spots.
Yup I'm staying in and going no where for my birthday. I'll celebrate next weekend with a ice cream cake!

As a motorbike rider I can confirm changing out stock plastic parts for anodized aluminum, aside from being beautiful, makes more horsepower and lowered lap times.

Kev I’ve told you what the modes are in your first ProMoto video. 3 up is Wheelie Mode. 2 up is On Road Mode, 1 up is off road mode. SO from the bottom is off road, on road then wheelie mode ok. 😂
what is the difference between mode 1 and 2?
@@KevinTalbotTV Mode 1 is Off Road Mode so it tries to keep traction in loose dirt like traction control and stops the front coming up and same in On Road Mode but it’s tuned for high traction surfaces. Mode 3… The Best Mode!!! Wheelie Mode YAY! Practice the different modes Kev and you will notice the difference in how it performs and wheelies. Cheers mate!

@@KevinTalbotTV Yes the other two modes are almost the same bro. Just slightly different setting in the Spektrum Gyro for different traction surfaces. Hard to notice haha 😂

I am all for RC cars, trucks and boats but for £600 I can get a 2nd or 4th hand dirtbike that is a bit rough and do all the stunts for real. Great job, just perplexed how much people can actually waste on these and that is coming from a guy that had team associated and Kyosho models on release in the 80s.
