Hello! I have a 2007 vtx 1800 F and i can't find the fuel pressure regulator (part no. 18 in the diagrams, under throttle body). Can you please tell me where this part is located? My bike starts limiting itself at 4k rpm, and then at 3k and decelerate. Some folks told me it can be a faulty fpr, but i can.t find it to test it...
2007 Honda vtx1800t problem. Because I neglected to run my bike ( surgeries kept me from riding it) I felt that it was time to ride. Come to find it wouldn’t start. Turn the key, hit the switch, tries to start but it doesn’t. I removed the air filter and gave a few shots of carb cleaner into the air intake. It started up, but a second later it died out. Tried a few times, no luck. I removed the tank ( thanks the video) drained the fuel, checked the spark plugs, and replaced them. Bought new gas and added 2 ounces of sea foam to my 2 gallon gas can. Connected everything back together, poured the fuel in and was then disappointed when it didn’t change a thing. Do you have any suggestions? They bike shop where I bought it in 2007 changed hands, and said bike was to old for them to work on.
same issue, my 2005 1800F sat for 12 years due to life reasons. while I had properly stored it, draining all the fluids and such, I still had to replace the fuel pump and injectors, there was enough fuel in one of the lines that it froze the pump.
Partzilla please respond or make a video I have a atv that when I turn the key and press the electric start button the starter motor does rotate but it just keeps trying to turn on but it dosent I just waste the battery by trying to turn it on please help I replaced the spark plug the ignition coil the stator and the CDI box and I'm out of ideas of what to change please help I would appreciate it.
Hoping you can help troubleshoot a problem. When fuel tank is less than about half full, the bike is sputtering and missing randomly. We almost didnt make it home from our last ride. As I come to a stoplight it will stall sometimes also. It seems to be a fuel problem. Water in the fuel was my first guess. Are there more than one pick up line within the fuel tank on a 1800C model? Im going to try and do some searching for fuel filter swap also....but I would think it would do it at any fuel level if it was the filter. This problem started this season after a long sit over winter, which Im guessing might be related to the problem. Any tips or troubleshooting ideas appreciated. Thanks!
Did you ever troubleshoot this? I had this on my 1800N on about a 30 mile freeway trip, locally thankfully, but it felt at first like the ol' reserve tank, but the 1800 obviously doesn't have one (my 750 & 1300s did). It just felt like too much fuel was being dumped into the valves (I'm not an engine guy like that) but it would sputter. I felt like it would "drain," so I pulled over for 5 minutes and it started right up, I got the 2 or 3 miles on the freeway to an exit and side streeted it home. Locally it hasn't had an issue. I haven't done a trip since, but this week I came out to a gas leak after sitting for a day and a half. Obviously coming from either the fuel line or the feeder tubes or the hose all the way underneath, as it's leaking from above (the tank). I had a great Honda mechanic, but he specializes in the 1970-80 Hondas. He's worked on my 750 & 1300 but when it comes to fuel inj, he tells me he's lost. If I had a trusted bike mechanic, I woulda taken it in a year ago.
Hello Iv got a 05 vtx 1800 that I purchased off a relative he brought the bike new and has only done 900kms on it the fuel has gone off Iv taken the injectors out to be serviced but the fuel pump has got me concerned. Can the fuel pump be pulled apart and serviced?

I have a leak on my throttle body and when i removed it, Inside on the front side of the manifold was flooded with gas. Do you know the reason why?

How similar is the 2005 compared to the 2006. I just came across the barn find and bought an 1800C two days ago.
Is there a fuel filter on it and wheres location ?
I've been told that on my '07, it is inside the fuel pump and not replaceable (whole pump would be replaced)

Fuel pumps are usually just replaced as a unit.
I had a question. I have a 05 vtx1800f2. My fuel pump doesn’t prime. Does that mean my fuel pump is shot?
Could be the pump, relay or wiring.
What size fuel hose is it?
Should be a 3/8
