Of course sheepskin seat covers work I'm a motorcycle postman in Australia and I'm in the saddle for a minimum of 5 hours a day even in temperature that is regularly over 35 degrees Celsius
On Saturday I did an Iron Butt Saddle Sore 1000 on a stock KLR650 with a stock seat. The only modification was a Coleman ATV seat cover and a sheep skin. No monkey butt, no hot spots, the sheep skin works. I think riding a KLR650 for 18+ hours with no lingering soreness is proof of that.
Sheepskin is the bomb! Warm in winter, cool in summer, water resistant, doubles as a pillow stuffing when camping (put it in a stuff sack)! Adds more seating positions to your bike too. I have been using sheep skin on my V-Strom for over two years and love it. I just bought The Duh Factor's big orange BMW and ill be rocking some sheep skin on it too once it gets here to west Texas. Ride on!
Received mine a few weeks ago but finally got around to installing mine today. Ended up lacing it on using shock cord. Looks great and i am sure it will work great! Thanks for sending this!!
I had a sheepskin on my Drz supermoto and for aggressive riding theyre way better than normal seat pads as they don’t move about on the seat. So you can move around on the seat but the sheep stays put and the thick fur padding also keeps you planted in the seat when you need it to. The front of the seat also felt wider and more padded, so more contact for your thighs to grip. It was basically like a soft foam tall seat but without having to hack your seat to bits..
Love my sheepskin. I picked mine up from Costco as well, trimmed to fit and sewed bungee straps to go around the seat. Smart of your wife to grab a bunch!
In the morning when dew is on it just brush your hand across and it dries quickly, The main reason I love mine is when the sun has been beaming down on your black leather seat and you swing your leg over and place your butt on the seat your nuggets don't start to boil. lol
I use a cut strip of car tyre tube I slip over the front of the seat the tube stays on the seat and it holds the skin on really well. NZ defiantly has the best sheepies 😀
I have been wanting to try out the sheepskin route for over a year but it never made it to the top of the list...until now. At this price and with your endorsement what can go wrong?! Thanks for looking out for us poor ADV riders. Keep up the GREAT work my friend!
I love your channel dude. I think I'm going to get rid of my cruiser and try some adventure riding. Great videos. You think you could make me a set of sheep skin scrubs for work? I think my patients would like 'em lol
A company called alaskaleather.com has been selling sheepskin motorcycle seat pads for years. They make them to fit different makes and sometimes have sales. They also have generic pads of various sizes available. I’ve had them on my bikes for years and won’t ride without one.
Super stoked! I placed my order before I finished watching the video! I have been meaning to get one of these and just haven't gotten around to it, but no excuses now.
I've got an Alaska Leather brand sheep skin. It really didn't do anything for me and I was concerned about it getting rained on and then stinking, so its sitting in the house here doing nothing. But, $37 is a GREAT deal on those sheep skins! The Alaska leather ones are more. A lot more.
I have something similar motorcycles wise. The bmw r1150r black full of extra stuff, and the Suzuki dr 350... I would love to see you making a video of one. I think she amazing, so much so that I'm totally rebuilding it. It's already in the process. Keep going, and be happy, that's the most important thing. Cheers 🥂
I bought one, thats actually a good price for a sheep skin seat cover. I've seen them online for $100 or so. But if I can get one for 1/3 the price and support my favorite TH-camr I'm all in :D
I lovvvvve my sheepskin cover. The company i ordered it from calls them butt savers, and thats exactly what it is and does. I bought mine for $89 i believe? Really didnt break the bank and far cheaper than going with an after market seat for my KLR. I bought mine in brown and black from a company in Pennsylvania called sickafus....or something like that, and i use it on my KLR during my 2.5 hour commutes to NYC and let me tell you, it works! My bum and back would both be murdering me with the stock seat, the sheep skin fixed that immediately. Another thing about it: its literally a head turner. When i park my bike, dozens of people gawk at it and take pictures, i had one guy run up to me telling that it's freaken wicked awesome. It also ticks off the super sensitive fruit cups in NYC. 😊
So the sheep skin just sits on top of your seat? It doesn’t slide around? Also I’m looking at shinko tires for my Wr250r. I ride mostly street, unfortunately, here in NJ. Could you recommend one, the 244 or 700? Thanks so much. I would love to buy your BMW if I could.
Ya I spent money on custom seating for my Vstar so my partner could enjoy more riding. But it was not until I put the sheep skin on the seat when the complaining stopped. Best wishes Tyler
I'm sorry to hear that BMW didn't work out for you. I was looking forward to hearing about it on a trip to Alaska. If I weren't so far from you I would consider buying the bike.
pepsi is your logo? I kid love your stuff, you or ride victoria was my first moto vlogger I ever found and got me into the motorcycle idea, been about 3-4 years and next march i'll be able to pick up a bike. Hoping I can find a nice crf250l on the used market but meh. So many good bikes to choose from, still trying to decide between a cruiser or dualsport. Life is good, God bless you and your family.
Thanks Cho! I'd bypass the 250L and maybe get a WR250R or even a DRZ. They're about the same weight but with a little more power, and in the case of DRZs, may even be a little less expensive :)
What are your thoughts on those 3D mesh seat covers? I find them cooler than the sheep skin when it's hot and the drain well when it rains but they also freeze you in the cold
I had the issue on my concours 14 of the stock seat causing me to constantly slide into the tank. Ordered a Sargent seat to try and combat this. It helped the sliding into the tank part, but it's hard as hell. Like 100 miles in I'm starting to squirm. 200 miles and I'm done. I don't want to drop another $500+ into a different seat and have the same issues. So anyone that ordered one, does it work?
Tyler: Lots of luck! I've been trying to sell an R1150R WITH only 16k miles plus an ALASKA LEATHER sheepskin seat for $3400 for the last few months in Logan. Rees
Who's this Neil guy? ;-) This video had pun potential... but you didn't want to pull the wool over our eyes! :-P Some time back in the UK, Ikea had them for baby cribs .... ~$30 a piece. I think they hiked the price up a bunch and replaced it with synthetic which is shear madness! Do you make cuts for Lamb-rettas? ;-)
It's been weird lately... last week it was high 80s and seemed hot. This week it dropped to the mid 60s. I'd like to have a little "fall" weather before skipping right to desert winter :)
Got it in the mail yesterday. Just a quick test sit so far, but I'm impressed. Now just the task of seeing how to get it so it will mount to my BMW R1100RT and my F650GS Dakar...
The benefits of wool in any form are practically endless - also - sheep "hair" is called "fiber" or just wool. In it's true form (pre-prep and processed) it's referred to as "fleece" - Why the world doesn't utilize more of it is truly baffling!!! Lanolin is an oily substance that sheep secrete from their skin. It's what helps the fleece (wool/fiber) retain its water resistance and yes - has a very distinct yet pleasant aroma. Please avoid Costco if possible (I am not bashing Costco in any way - the place Is awesome) - But do try reaching out to some local sheep/flock owners in your area first - I have numerous skins that I use as mattress pads for sleeping in my truck, on my couch, chairs - hell even my dog has a sheep skin! Wool helps keep you cool when your hot - as well as warms you up when your cold!!! IT'S AMAZING STUFF!!! Apologies for the lecture......But I knit, spin - am an apprentice sheep shearer - AND - PROUD NOOB RIDER. I cannot wait to get a sheep skin onto my bike!!! It will be the very first mod I make for my bike!!!
i rode 1500 miles one way on a honda sabre v65 stock seat. horrible. the other way with a sheep skin like that and i could go twice as long being comfotable
I have no idea how i got here but I do have dual sports bike. My instant take on this idea is WTH? If the skin was not SECURELY, as in practically permanently then it makes little sense to me as one needs to stand up on the pegs of a bike at certain times ....even with my 100% crotch rocket road bikes I DID stand on occasion due to leg craps ....of course if it was just your body weight and friction keeping the skin in place? Whoosh it will be GONE. The other obvious problem is unscheduled rain which absorbent hairs or not would very soon have on sitting in a soggy mop...no? So to me? It would require some kind of secure fastening with quick/easy means of removing and storing out of the rain ...speaking of which? Sorry to rain on your parade, just wanted others to THINK before they invested in such. BTW I personally bought one of those sheep skins at Costco years and years ago and frankly have never found a real use for other than a throw over a chair...it was white originally but now is looking yellowish gross although it physically is still plush and wonderful forever if someone was blind
"lay on it to seduce your lover. Then again, it's only about the size of a motorcycle seat.. so maybe let your dog/cat/large gerbil do the laying/seducing." Man, I don't EVEN want to know where THAT came from..😬
Of course sheepskin seat covers work I'm a motorcycle postman in Australia and I'm in the saddle for a minimum of 5 hours a day even in temperature that is regularly over 35 degrees Celsius
@sublieutenant, what do you do when it rains? Does wet sheep skin smells? Thanks in advance.
What an awesome job…
It saves my butt!
That's the best endorsement I've ever heard honest and straight to the point
This video is not sponsored by sheep.
The sheep are like the cows at Chic Fil A :)
Best line... "move somewhere they don't have capitalism ". I laughed out loud.
Me too.
same here
What about directly riding a sheep with 21" legs forward and 17" on the rear?
Furry face, furry mic, furry bike, um just what direction is this channel going anyway, evFurRide? :D

Can I order some sheep skin underpants. Fur side in :>)
I'll see what I can sew up... because I'm gettin' summa that for myself!
Hahaha! Count me in!
Try bamboo (yep seriously) !!
Received mine a few weeks ago but finally got around to installing mine today. Ended up lacing it on using shock cord. Looks great and i am sure it will work great! Thanks for sending this!!

take the cover off when you camp out, use it as a mat under your sleeping bag air mattress ect. it helps.
In the morning when dew is on it just brush your hand across and it dries quickly, The main reason I love mine is when the sun has been beaming down on your black leather seat and you swing your leg over and place your butt on the seat your nuggets don't start to boil. lol
Just bought one. A good price, nothing fancy. Just what I was looking for.
I use a cut strip of car tyre tube I slip over the front of the seat the tube stays on the seat and it holds the skin on really well.
NZ defiantly has the best sheepies 😀
My fiance ordered a couple of these for our bikes . I would definitely rate these 5 stars !!!
Just bought mine. Figured I would try this before a whole new seat from seat concepts. Thanks
I have been wanting to try out the sheepskin route for over a year but it never made it to the top of the list...until now. At this price and with your endorsement what can go wrong?! Thanks for looking out for us poor ADV riders. Keep up the GREAT work my friend!
Just ordered one, looking forward to testing it out.
I re purposed an old car seat cover when I saw the crazy price. Tyler yours seem to be priced really well!
Yeah they can get pretty pricey! Repurposing a car seat is an excellent idea!
I love your channel dude. I think I'm going to get rid of my cruiser and try some adventure riding. Great videos. You think you could make me a set of sheep skin scrubs for work? I think my patients would like 'em lol

I just bought a sheepskin two days ago for a trip I've got coming up! If it doesn't work out for some reason, I'll revisit your site.
How did it perform? Cool in the heat? Too unbeareable when wet?
Glade to see you more active. Planning to be in St George first week of November with my DRZ E to try it out.
Right on! Yeah I need to create more videos even if they're a little bit raw.
Yah raw is real. We always want more but real gets us through till next time.
Glad you did some self-promotion. This is a good price. I ordered one right away.
I've got an Alaska Leather brand sheep skin. It really didn't do anything for me and I was concerned about it getting rained on and then stinking, so its sitting in the house here doing nothing. But, $37 is a GREAT deal on those sheep skins! The Alaska leather ones are more. A lot more.

Aussie and Kiwis "love" their sheep!!
I will definitely check these out on your site. Looks interesting and a good way to support your channel
I bought one, thats actually a good price for a sheep skin seat cover. I've seen them online for $100 or so. But if I can get one for 1/3 the price and support my favorite TH-camr I'm all in :D
Business jets and airliners come with built-in sheepskin in the pilots seats for a reason, the guys are in the seats for long periods of time.
definitely going to buy one on friday! Been looking for some nice sheep skin. And I love your channel.
I lovvvvve my sheepskin cover. The company i ordered it from calls them butt savers, and thats exactly what it is and does. I bought mine for $89 i believe? Really didnt break the bank and far cheaper than going with an after market seat for my KLR. Just bought one from the same company can't wait to give it a try
They are great for long trips and you get the pleasant wet dog smell in the rain :)
Wool is an amazing fiber. They still cannot replicate it.
Funny man. Great idea. I’m in Canada so I guess I’ll have to make my own.
Perfect for my bonnie solo-seat, and the KLR! 75 bucks to the door for the pair; sounds like a steal, considering it helps a fella out.
is it comfortable? Is it better than air seats?
Already got one. Sheepskin works!
Thank you for passing the savings on!
I need a rectangle piece for my Xr650L, let me know if you have them.

I'm in. Will these add 20hp, take off 50lbs, lower the seat hight and cure cancer? I'm ordering two. Driver/passenger ktm1290. Thank you!
I'm sorry to hear that BMW didn't work out for you. I was looking forward to hearing about it on a trip to Alaska. If I weren't so far from you I would consider buying the bike.
Yes sheepskins work. Just make sure it’s a REAL sheepskin. No artificial ones!
Thoughts on sheep skin cover for scooter seats?
Great price. Just ordered a triangle and a rectangle. One for my Harley and one for my KTM.
pepsi is your logo? Just ordered. My stock seat on my Ninja 1000 is not bad but maybe this will help. Also, I’m hoping for miracles on the stock KLX250 seat.
Hey, Tyler. Me and my buddy Timo are at the Moab KOA? Wanna ride with us ... or maybe just have a beer? Would love to meet you.
What are your thoughts on those 3D mesh seat covers? I find them cooler than the sheep skin when it's hot and the drain well when it rains but they also freeze you in the cold
Off topic but I’d like to see your headlight mod on the WR if I could pics or something?
Debating on aftermarket seats as well.
The cb500x seat is hard as hell
Love the Video and the Raw format. I will pick one of these dead animal skins up from you before our long ride to somewhere awesome next year ;-)
I had the issue on my concours 14 of the stock seat causing me to constantly slide into the tank. Ordered a Sargent seat to try and combat this. I've got the stock seat on my drz and it's really not that bad. Maybe the seat concepts seat really is that nice though.
Are you still selling these
NZ= Merino wool. Doesnt itch compared to normal sheep skin.
Are you still selling these?
No doubt the Beemer runs tip top... If MR Duh worked his magic on it :)
Ya got any that fit a “16 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide?
A+ for Alaska Leather
What about Canada? Could there be a shipping fee you could charge?
Is that a tribble?
Nevermind - Got it
I have one in my cart, do you still have some? 3/31/21
Hey bro are you in Arizona? I’m looking for some of that sheepskin for my bike
Just went to your site. Couldn't find the sheep skin. Help!
Still available?
Good deal on the sheepskin. I’d get one but I’m in Canada so that won’t work . Ride safe cheers.
still getting in the 90's here
It's been weird lately... last week it was high 80s and seemed hot. This week it dropped to the mid 60s. I'd like to have a little "fall" weather before skipping right to desert winter :)
Where can I purchase this?
Baaahhhd ass video Tyler! LOL
Ordered!
Got it in the mail yesterday. Just a quick test sit so far, but I'm impressed. Now just the task of seeing how to get it so it will mount to my BMW R1100RT and my F650GS Dakar...
My Klr came with one. It’s awesome except my buddies make fun of it. Old guy, candy ass etc. lol
Everybody likes their own flavor
There is the story of an aussie who reckoned he was only trying to help the sheep over the fence....by NZ wool best in the world.
Whats the site? I want one
Tyler, would you recommend a sheep skin on top of a Seat Concepts seat cover?
Hi
What kind of bike u ride?
U don’t find seat concepts comfy alone?
I’m debating on sheepskin , beads or aftermarket seat
@@copperworksplumbing7643 KTM 640 Adventure. Haven't added the Seat Concepts seat to it yet but considering it.

Some guys swear by them on touring bikes.
I wasn't really a believer until my mom gave me a bit to test out. It didn't take long before I saw the light ;)
Brian Rix - ridden everywhere with one (adventure rider radio raw)
Ordered mine
How are you going to look cool, at Starbucks, without the BMW.?
lol! I've never looked cool at Starbucks... even with the BMW ;)
I meant sheepskinhide.com its imported from aukland for 59.99
Why are you holding a tribble
Beard is sexy! Was headed though UT to maybe stay at your B&B but never heard back from you. That was last week, sorry it didn't work out.
New Zealanders sure do "love" their sheep.
Tb0n3 and our emus.
I have no idea how i got here but I do have dual sports bike. My instant take on this idea is WTH? Just ordered mine!
You even had to have some on the microphone too! :)
Yes, Australians really stand behind their products, ha, ha... Baaaaaah...
Why not edit out the bloopers only behind the scene producers and wife's think it's cute
Let's talk about that ZR2 in your driveway...
"lay on it to seduce your lover. Then again, it's only about the size of a motorcycle seat.. so maybe let your dog/cat/large gerbil do the laying/seducing." Man, I don't EVEN want to know where THAT came from..😬
