    I understand you very well buddy. I bought the Xdiavel S in march, a month later a car hit me. The motorcycle cost 25.000 dollars in Switzerland to repair it would have been 17.000!!. The accident was a 30km/h and the only visible damage was a scratch in the tank, BUT when it felt the chassis got bended because the impact. The insurance company from the guy decided to give me back the totality of the money (because it was not my fault). Now I bought a new one and I'm constantly afraid of scratching the damn tank. CC I bought an XDiavelS after watching your videos about the bike. Most fun and adrenaline I’ve had in 48 years of riding. Yes it’s expensive but you get what you pay for. Bought an extended warranty and with 18k miles so far no issues that cost $. I get more compliments on the XDS than all my other bikes combined. And I’m not rich just fell in love with the rush it provides. IMHO you shouldn’t have sold it just took extra care of it. Thanks for turning me on to it👍😀

    • @CycleCruza

      Nice! Cool to see your comment because some people don't believe me when I say that bike is so fun. It got a lot of attention for me as well. Nearly every time I stopped for gas somebody flocked over. I even got hit on by a chic on that bike. Just make sure to not drop her or your insurance company will total the bike for sure and it will be so expensive to fix yourself. Keep it clean and you are good! Best of luck!

    It seems like euro bikes are much better if you use them as a weekend warrior. I ride my bikes in rain, leave it outside, and sometimes forget to put the cover over it. With a euro bike, I’d be too concerned about keeping in pristine.

      @CycleCruza  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don't know, I owned a Euro bike for more than 3 years, dailied in sun, rain, and even snow. Never missed a beat, never regretted the decision to go Italian. The only time it messed up was my own doing anyways. If you can't afford repairs or accept to live with a dent in your tank for a little while before you are able to fix it, then the bike is too expensive for you, and that goes for all bikes not just Euro ones.

    I somewhat understand. I bought a pre-owned Triumph Rocket III Roadster in 2014. It only had 7100 miles on it. I absolutely LOVED it. It was a 8ft long, 800lb handful in the corners. But straight line accelerating or feeling like King Shit while cruising it had no equal. At 15,000 miles the dealership informed me the steering bearings needed service as well as needing new fork seals and bushings. Over $600 and it would need a similar service in another 15,000 miles(A design weakness that influenced Honda in switching to a Hossack type suspension on the 2018 Wing). After riding over 210,000 miles on BMWs with either Tele-lever or Duo-lever(Hossack) front suspensions never requiring "steering bearings", "fork seals" or repairs of any sort I sadly parted company with my otherwise BRILLIANT Triumph motorcycle.

    I'm picking up my new FXDR on Tuesday..and it has the same 240 Tire...Harley has a wheel & Tire insurance plan, so if you pick up a nail or damage the rims, it's only a $50 deductible and they replace the whole tire.

    Wow, I thought our road surfaces were bad here in England but some of those roads surfaces you were riding on looked dangerously bad. That Duke is a beauty but you need deep pockets to keep it showroom fresh. That's kind of ok if you only have one bike but you look like you have a stable of bikes to maintain so I get where your at on that issue. Great videos.

      You should listen better dude, I said nearly dropped my wr250r on the XDiavel tank. I don't have room for such an expensive bike like I thought I did. Also, the 240 rear tire eats rocks and road debris, I don't want to $$ for special Ducati tools to work on the bike and I don't like traveling to akron to the dealer for recalls. The title says 5 things, not one! Peace!

  • @otaviopradoderesende7603
    @otaviopradoderesende7603 ปีที่แล้ว

    It's a super nice bike and yes the dealers are super nice as well! But be aware that the parts are expensive and that there aren't much available and just a few dealers, which might be far from where you live. So if you need to change some part, be aware it might take a month. Other important point, if you are buying a second hand, be very careful. If the bike is not actively in use, you might have to change a lot of parts because of premature spend, leaks, etc. I'll have to wait 40 days to arrive one part and I have to spend 2600$ to change parts. Wouldn't have to if the previous owners were more careful.

  • @Panotaker

    You left out the Number One reason you got rid of that bike. The day you got it, I knew you was going to get rid of it pretty quick. The Number One reason I think you got rid of it is that feet forward riding position. That feet forward riding position just sucks, because you can't stand up on the pegs, and anybody that grew up on a dirt bike, likes to stand up on the begs. Now if your first bike would have been a Harley, it probably wouldn't have bothered you, but once you have a dirt bike, you just have to have that option.

    • @CycleCruza
      @CycleCruza  5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      That was a reason, however, I loved the riding position as it was comfy BUT I'd rather be on my toes ready to pounce defensively. I could not bail from the bike like I can on mid peg bikes.

    • @Panotaker
      @Panotaker 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@CycleCruza I knew it! I tell you something else, you are probably going to get rid of the 450 too, for two reasons. Number one is because you are going to get tired of changing the oil every time you ride it around the block, and Number two, is that putting street tires on a dirt bike is just plain dumb. You tried it out, it was cool for a little while, but you got it out of your system, and you will move on to something else. Eventually you will end up with a sport tourer, so go ahead and get it over with, so you can ride out of state, where they have some hills and turns.

None of the bikes I've had in the past gave me the feeling that my Ducati's give me. Just a quick twist of the throttle and you unleash raw brutal power. It's like riding a wild animal, the adrenaline rush you get is undescribable. Hey I'm cheap too, but when it comes to something that I like and enjoy I'll spend the money. Yes it’s more expensive and yes the maintenance is higher, but no one buys an exotic car and expects auto zone to carry the parts. So buying a Ducati and then complaining that it’s too expensive is odd to me.

I Love it so much, but my wallet hates it. What would you reccomend? Thanks in advance! Maybe a video idea for you, for people stuck between the 650 class and the 800/900 class?

      I was about to say the same thing about the crappy streets.....I guess the video was NOT sponsored by the Cleveland Chamber of Commerce.....

      I swear I thought the same thing! Worst looking streets I've ever seen. The roads in Alabama get repaved all the time & look amazing. Texas roads look like shit too...

    The thing about these youtubers is that they get paid by specifically Honda(the most notorious company) and the rest of Japanese vacuum cleaner manufacturers to rubbish good European bikes. It's like you have only 200k in your bank account and buy a Ferrari. You'll go bankrupt. So don't get what you can't afford, but I believe that affordability is not the case here. This guy just gets paid by Japanese brands to rubbish excellent bikes of Ducati, Aprilia....etc Stick you your ancient 2019 Fireblade that was engineered 30 odd years ago. These road warriors know nothing about bikes other than riding dangerously on the public road and talk nonsense non-stop. Pack it in son.

    Go grab the Monster 1200R!! Same engine but the naked you want! Own one myself and it is truly my favorite bike of all time! I will never get rid of her!

      I bet that Monster is a beast, same engine but 150 lbs lighterweight. I wonder why the engine is not 1262cc like the XDiavel if it's the same Testastretta L-Twin engine? It's listed as 1198cc. Either way, it looks to be a sick bike as well.

      CycleCruza give one a test ride you will love it 160hp massive torque and that nice riding position. Direct competition with the super duke but with a little more sexy lol.
