    Is Riverside developing an Apple TV app? The Continuity Camera feature is really fantastic and I'd love to be able to use it for podcast recording.

      We'll keep that in mind for the future, but you can use Continuity Camera with your Mac + Riverside right now!

    Question.. if you "directly" connect iphone15 pro max via USB C to USB C [or] USB C to DP to monitor, they work perfectly, zero lag.
    BUT as soon as I involve a USB C splitter (4 extra USB C port) casting stops. but Mic, ext Hard drive, pass thru charging all works, JUST no display casting stops.
    DO you know why this is happening? thank you

    • @Riversidefm
      @Riversidefm  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Does this USB-C splitter have a power supply? Meaning does it charge the iPhone while you have it plugged in? If not, it may be that the iPhone can't supply enough power to run all those devices simultaneously.

    the riverside app on iPhone does not let me choose the microphone nor can I see the audio treshold like in this video. What can i do to add my wireless pro to it?!!!!?? HELP

    • @Riversidefm
      @Riversidefm  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Riverside app does not have audio thresholds in-app, that was the app Ferrite I showed in the video. But once you enter your Riverside studio in the app, connect your mic, and if you see the pop up asking yes/no like we show in the video, your mic is connected!

      Unfortunately Lightning to USB adapters won't work with video capture devices, has to be an iPad with a USB-C port!

    • @Riversidefm
      @Riversidefm  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Some mics and audio interfaces may require more power than the iPhone can give. For that, we would recommend getting an inexpensive USB-C hub that can be powered. I've tried this for devices that require more juice and it works! a.co/d/43vA2p0

    In our testing, iPadOS 17 broke the ability of riverside (and other 3rd party apps) to recognize external mics on USB-C iPads. This was working fine in iPadOS 16. Apple is aware of this issue and is working on a solution.

    • @Riversidefm
      @Riversidefm  ปีที่แล้ว

      Is that still the case with iOS 17.0.3? And what model iPad are you testing with?

    • @beakerfilms2083
      @beakerfilms2083 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Riversidefm Yes, the problem still persists with iPadOS 17.0.3. However, since my comment a few days ago we determined that several other 3rd party apps do work. Zoom, Rode Reporter and Auphonic all recognize an external microphone. Riverside is the only one we tested so far that does not work.

    Can I add another SD card or a solid-state drive in the end? Is it possible to directly record video and audio to an SD card using Blackmagic?What I mean is to continue using the hub mentioned in the video and record everything to an SD card or a solid-state drive. Is that possible?

    • @Riversidefm
      @Riversidefm  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can do that! The BlackMagic camera app allows you to choose a device and folder, whether an SSD or SD card, and record directly to that.

    What I can't figure out is why anyone would want to do any of that with an iPhone. If you are at home, just use your computer. On the go, just bring a laptop and mount the iPhone atop the laptop and use the iPhone camera that way. I see no scenarios where someone who wants to produce content would be better off using the iPhone.

      I work with people (health care/higher ed) who are at work, on their work computers, and they are often blocked from letting Riverside use their camera/mic. This happens about 25 percent of the time with these clients. This is a great work around.
