Weird coincidence but when i got mine it too had a bad pump. I went to summit racing and got the fx version of the pump. Also, the wire that is provided in the kit is not big enough to handle the current needed to run the fuel pump. I went back with 4 gauge southwire and its screaming now 2 years later no issues. Hands down nice setup from martys, but prepare for new wire and fuel pump. Never hurtd to have a spare anyways.
Great install video man. I know it was a big hassle but definitely worth it in the end (The CAT filters look sharp👍.) Too bad the pump was bad right out of the box. At least it didn’t take long after that to get a good one installed, and get back up and running. BTW congrats on hitting over 1,000 subs! Well deserved man🥳!

BAM! . then i used 2001 front rotors and old pads to fit thicker rotor . all late metric wheels fit now. love how it stops .
Hi, nice vid. This helped immensely in my recent install. This is probably a silly question but how do I use the water separator? Do I have to drain it? I seem to be having a slow leak just from the separator.
You should drain it about every oil change. And where is it leaking from, the gasket? I would take the separator off, check the gasket, clean both the gasket, and mounting surface and reinstall.
@@EverythingElliott leak source is not apparent. Just seems to be a drop of fuel in cohesion to bottom of nipple. Which Inturn is dropping on floor. I was thinking maybe the drain is slightly loose. I’m assuming the nipple gets turned and that is how you drain them.
Don’t quote me on this but I believe the standard kit flows a gallon a minute. If you call Marty’s they would be more than happy to steer you in the correct direction
If you have dual tanks there are 4 ports on the back 2 supply, 2 return. 2 ports on the front, one supply, one return. You’ll be using those two front connections

I like the kit, came with everything needed plus some extras. I haven’t driven my truck in like 4 months because I put it away for the winter, but it didn’t miss a beat after the kit was installed
Never too late to ask questions! Did you think I didn't read the comments?! I didn't hook up the water in fuel light as there's no sensor to tap into in the water separator filter. I will just check it every so often. If you want to set up a fuel pressure gauge in the cab, the simplest way to do it would be to get an electronic one, hook the sensor into the port where I installed the gauge, run the wire into the cab and put it where ever you desire. The regulator with this system is a pretty high quality one, so you shouldn't have any issue with setting and forgetting. That's my plan of attack on monitoring fuel pressure.

@@EverythingElliott I appreciate it. I'm about to replace my tires, I wanted to go a little bigger than 265's on the Alcoa's. That looked a little bigger, thought I'd ask.
What’s the reason why Marty’s wouldn’t want to replace or have some type of buying security for a brand new fuel pump? I’m not comfortable with buying something of this extent with a possibility of it not working when I receive it. Help me out here Marty’s

@@EverythingElliott for sure! Since I bought I’ve spent more time under the hood than in the seat but I’m going through fixing all the typical failures of the thing! The fuel tank mod is next
I would get it again, realistically my only complaint was the mounting bracket due to my cab/bed setup, but as you saw in the video it was easily fixed with a quick trip to the hardware store
I've done this on my standard cab long bed and my short bed extended cab. The kits are pretty nice. They are not just a "bolt on" style. Some modifications to the truck and kit are necessary depending on the application.
Wow, lots of work, basically just to fix a small fuel leak? I have absolutely no issues with the stock fuel setup, runs great always has. If I ever get a leak, I'll just replace gaskets/orings as appropriate. And what was that part about them saying they don't warranty the fuel pump? So they sell a system and offer no warranty? I see they replaced it for you, as they should have, but that didn't quite make sense. They damn well better replace anything that is faulty from one of their kits.
I would say it was time consuming, but not difficult. And the warranty issue comes from Bosch. Something about diesel not being on the list of liquids for warranty. I understand because Marty’s isn’t producing the pump, just simply providing it from Bosch. But as you saw they warrantied it for me, they are super good people and have great customer service.
See those two things hanging under your truck? Do you know what they are? They're nuts, balls, cajones... Put the balls back in your truck by fixing Ford's neutured excuse for a fuel system!!! That piss poor excuse for a water separation filter? Yeah right, I should send them the bill for the upgrade, should have been like that from factory
What a waste of money. I have a 2001 f350 4dr 4x4 flat bed with over 320 thousand and never done anything but replace a wire harness to Injectors and replaced up pipes to get rid of those crappy factory ones. save your cash take care of your 7.3 and drive it like your human and not a crazy person and it will treat you well.
Sorry you feel I wasted my own money. That being said it is my truck, my money, and I don't feel like it was a waste. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Considering you have a 2001 you already have this from the factory, so the mechanical fuel pump is not an issue you have had to deal with.
His year truck unlike yours doesn't have a factory electric fuel pump. Thank you for adding and commenting About things you know nothing about obviously.

im stuck at hooking up line to selector valve. what line are you hooking into?
If you have dual tanks there are 4 ports on the back 2 supply, 2 return. 2 ports on the front, one supply, one return. You’ll be using those two front connections
Quick question the front hoses on the head did you connect them together or did connect to the return on the regulator?
The hoses that come off the front of the head go to each side of the regulator, and the return hose comes off the regulator to the selector valve
