This video shows you how to do the replacement yourself on your 2006-2011 Honda Civic. Not only can a worn wheel bearing or hub be annoying if it is noisy or vibrating, but it can also lead to accelerated wear in other parts, or unsafe driving conditions. Replacing your worn bearing or hub with a quality TRQ part is a safe, smart, decision.
This repair was done on a 2009 Honda Civic LX 1.8L Sedan 4-Door FWD Manual and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:
2006 Honda Civic
2007 Honda Civic

I took the lazy more expensive way out. I bought the loaded knuckle with the bearing already pressed in along with new ball joints.
what happened to the knuckle u pressed the bearing into? u installed a brand new knuckle with bearing and hub also when u pressed that bearing in u didn't put any grease on the bearing u installed it dry..... not to mention if I was resusing that rusty knuckle I would've wire brushed it and painted it with some corrosion reducer paint....
Did you pull this car out of the Pacific Ocean?? So much corrosion! Done well to clean it up
Please keep doing this, you are educating and helping so many
Anybody noticed that the wheel hub looks brand new at the end 🤔🧐
Any chance you can make a video of how to change a bearing without a press?
+Fishing_4_Recovery We do not have a video for this repair right now, but we'll keep this request in mind for a future video! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ
Once you press (or hammer) out the wheel hub, TAKE OFF THE BACKING PLATE BEFORE you try press out the bearing otherwise you'll damage the plate & the knuckle!
I'm so upset I damaged the thing, the bearing would not press out & I had the caliper bracket mounting points flex on the edge while in the press bending the upper mounting. Bad day!
How big of a hydraulic press do you need for this?
I am going to tackle this soon but a little confused on the removal of the sleeve from the old OEM wheel hub. Check out 13:56 , is that step necessary because when you remove the wheel hub, that sleeve if that is what is called will always be stuck with the wheel hub upon removal? if I get both new bearing and wheel hub, I do not need to do this step correct?
Thank you, you are a life saver
Where did you get spacer for bearing removal?
The hub was not fine at 14:00
Thanks , really was my solution your video ,
How much should I charge to do this job 🤔
My guy has all snap on tools
