Hi Satori, this tool had been baffling me for a long time now but now I am able to create 3D graphics so easily! Thanks so much for sharing your skills and knowledge on this tool!!
You can use numbers 1-4 to select a plane rather than having to click on the widget. Just make sure you have perspective selection tool active (shift-v)
I rarely need to use this tool in my work but when I do, I've always rewatched this video. Easy to understand and exactly the info I need every time, thank you!
Definitely what I need for now, it's really not that difficult to create 3D models via Adobe Illustrator. You made it very simple and efficient tool Satori, love this video of yours man! Worth sharing to my artist friends
Awesome! I’ll never forget the first time I accidentally clicked on the perspective grid in Illustrator and panicked when trying to figure out how to get out of it. Lol. It really is a fantastic tool but confusing at first-thank you for the great overview of how to use it :)
I was intentionally ignoring that grid cause it scared me but thanks very much Mr Satori now I have coqurered my fear by your help it's actually amazing too 😎🙏🏾
I used the Perspective Grid a few times but for tutorials I followed so I didn't quite understand the tool full potential like I didn't know u could change it to a one point perspective also thx a bunch for that shortcut I usually just click "x" on the widget Lol this really helped me understand so much better ^^
Really nice work man... I used to use sketch up for most of my perspective shots but now am rethinking all of it specially for simple low detailed shots.... I was really inspired by this
thanks for this, can you have an arrow (made with the pen tool) follow and adjust to the perspective grid? I want the actual arrow part of the line (the triangle) to adjust to one of the cube grids, thanks in advance
Thanks buddy. I got my hands on quite a few 'advanced' illustrator guides from big names and belive it or not, none of them aproached the use of the perspective grid tool lol. I got really upset today as i spent quite a few hours trying to give perspective to a pattern using different transformation tools but failing miserably. I ll give it another try tomorrow using this guide which i am pretty sure will cut it for what i got to do.
@@SatoriGraphics thanks buddy. Yeah, it seems so, with a bit of extended search. I am currently using the perspective grid tool to manually draw a floor. I managed to manipulate the dimension to match my desired angle and ill just do it square by square. Althlugh it wont look as fine as i imagined it, it wont be far off. I just can't get to free transform a pattern without screwing up the object shape.
That's all great, but I don't understand how you're supposed to draw a precise shape (a building for example), when you can't match up the lines in the left and right grid so they land on the same vertical. I would want those to snap together, so that when I draw planes (walls etc.), they can snap to the grid AND to each other, creating a precise corner. What am I missing? Thanks!
Hello satori you are nice mentor i love you i want to be a complete graphic designer i have knowledge about illustrator but i did't find where to start your course please guide me which playlist is from A to Z and where playlist i start to your course?
Yes, but how do i snap my grid onto my strokes as I would snap my strokes onto my grid? Its really frustrating to get the smart boards "dumb boards" to line up properly. It's urgent
Great vid! Is there a way to move the perspective grid and have it also adjust everything on the grid? I'd love to be able to adjust the perspective once I have some of my artwork in place
Great tutorial Tom. Just a little feedback for you... In the last few videos your sound has been very low, and on this one there was a few moments I had to have my volume up to max just to hear it. And a word to the wise... There has been a lot of content theft with design tutorials on TH-cam lately and it seems its rife in India. What they are doing is copying someone's video every step of the way and then repackaging it under their name. They are choosing your highest rated videos to get the video to 10k very quickly so the can monetize it. I've seen quite a few videos from another channel being used already like this. Protect your content Tom 👍
1. How can I release the Object from the Grid / Reset the Object to its original shape WITHOUT Perspective ? 2. How can I switch the Object from plane to plane ? eg Blue to Orange plane
It’s not that easy as it looks, I practised it and I failed 😔 I wanted to do perspective text under a cubic object...something was wrong for sure lol It just didn’t happened what I’ve imagined 😛 will try again...
You would think people come in here to learn how to use the perspective tool, but they are here to learn how to turn it off because they popped it by accident
Show me how to put a perspective grid over a wide angle image, then I'll be impressed. There's like 100 tutorials where everyone starts with a blank page. But, matching real-life images say for signage THAT is useful. This anyone can do. Not frustrated at you, but this tool is so so old. Horrible UX.
Awesome. Finally instead of open this tool for mistake I'm going to actually use it for designing a fair stand.
lol nice :)
As usual; JUST WHAT I NEEDED really quick and understandable!!!!! Always a life saver; never a grave slaver - THANKS Satori Graphics!!!

that's a good tip, thanks a lot for that
Just about to write this myself. Would be nice to make a more advanced video on adapting maybe an existing artwork to an grid.
I rarely need to use this tool in my work but when I do, I've always rewatched this video. Easy to understand and exactly the info I need every time, thank you!
Never thought I'd fall in love with that troublesome tool lol

I always used to be frustrated when this tool suddenly popped up so thanks for this video!
Lol, shift ctrl b
Thank you! I started off searching on how to remove it. Now I understand, better anyway, how to utilize the tool.
Glad it helped!
This is the best video I have ever seen on The Perspective grid tool. Thanks Satori Graphics. ❤
Thank you. Background music is really relaxing too.
Very useful! Thanks for sharing! 👏🙂
this is such a LIFE SAVER video! thanks

4k of thumbs up says it all, cheers!
Hey thanks Natalie :)

This video has me wanting to use this tool now... I recently took it off my tool box because of accidental clicks... haha..

Hey that's unfortunate! Most of what you need to know can be found online for free if you spend time looking 👍

Aha, you may have just revived a project I was doing for fun but couldn't figure out how to do some stuff (perspective!)

2 years late but have you figured this out? haha
@@HaneenHlehel No, I've completely given up on using Illustrator for this kind of thing. Possible that they have since addressed it in an update.
Thanks. But how do I change the camera view? cannot find it. I want to look from a different angle...
perfect refreshment satori
What is the round white point in the middle of the three gray points at the bottom?
You are awesome dude!

any book which covers everything about logo
The fundamentals of graphic design(book)
Always go crazy when I accidentally click it and it won’t go away
That used to annoy me a whole lot!
Good!.. Because it's not easy to work in perspective.
I am still learning

How to make a Spherical Grid or five points perspective grid in Illustrator ?
