- #About the mod: Fake Factory Remaster is a custom modification that changes the game's artstyle, making it look as close as possible to vannila version.
#Project Goal: Remove unnecessary props, entitys, brushes, decals that makes the game look terrible and unplayable.
#New Features: Added new structures that makes more sense to City 17, Ravenholm, Highway 17 and Nova Prospekt enviorments. Lost Coast is now playable and the soundtrack is back on track.
#Optimization: Removed a bunch of unnecessary files from the game's directory. Removed some FF skins, textures, props and weapons, now we can add our own.
#About the Gameplay: The current gameplay seen in the trailer is using the OG Half-Life 2 assets.

0:39 1:49 these roads make no sense. It's below the initial sea level, before HL events everything would be just under the water.
Im guessing that the Combine made them. there's like, apc's and combine machinery that makes it look like the combine made them. so they do kinda make sense
@@ChrisWithAnExistance Yeah but i did also notice some old military looking vehicles but i do not really know
@@ChrisWithAnExistance There's old abandoned vehicles and even a human APC on these roads, so it's unlikely. Even aside from that, why would the Combine bother to build a couple of roads with lamp posts in these places?
I guess maybe they were at sea level but collapsed after.
So is the gate at the beginning of Lost Coast if you think about it.

This honestly looks really nice. The bumpy landacape looka very nice and the additional bridges were nice too. The textures look great as well. Not sure how I feel about it looking dark and moody with the clouds but it doesn't bother me too much.

I respect that you tried to add more meaning to the buildings and generally make the levels more varied and believable. But what was the point of changing vanilla weather and time of day? I think it set the perfect atmosphere and mood for the player
Yeah I like the original time of day more than the new one. There's too much night scenes like highway 17 was meant to be in the daytime not at night
Because there's no point of making a level where you use a car if you can barely see the road you're driving on
Also I believe the soundtrack locations are changed up a bit which I also dislike

The trees made all the sense... Now the location is again empty and unfinished. You could just repaint the trees.

@@williamwallcroft2559 Not necessarily pine trees) You could leave ordinary trees without foliage. Well, just fill out the borders of the map as intended. Leave the grass, not this poor green texture. This is a complete downgrade.

That bridge at 0:40 doesn't make any sense. the Ocean has been partly drained by the combine, so it would be under water normally.
Other than the confusing architecture there, it looks nice.
