- #About the mod: Fake Factory Remaster is a custom modification that changes the game's artstyle, making it look as close as possible to vannila version.
#Project Goal: Remove unnecessary props, entitys, brushes, decals that makes the game look terrible and unplayable.
#New Features: Added new structures that makes more sense to City 17, Ravenholm, Highway 17 and Nova Prospekt enviorments. Lost Coast is now playable and the soundtrack is back on track.
#Optimization: Removed a bunch of unnecessary files from the game's directory. Removed some FF skins, textures, props and weapons, now we can add our own.
#About the Gameplay: The current gameplay seen in the trailer is using the OG Half-Life 2 assets.

Is it normal for the audio to become slower at the start of highway 17(
i installed the mod following those instructions, but I'm having a problem. when I load a map (either thru console or new game menu), it loads but the screen stays stuck on loading. this happens both with vanilla hl2 and MMOD. how could I fix this?
there's this weird orange thing whenever I start up a chapter? I hardly know anything about source so It would be nice if you could help.

One thing though. I have very strange audio issues once I get to Highway 17. Some sound effects are extremely low and most if not all sounds are slowed down or pitched down. I also noticed animations going almost in slow motion ( not a loss of frames ). I have no idea how to fix this and it only starts once I get to Highway 17. No other chapter before it, at least not that I noticed.
I've installed and reinstalled multiple times following your instructions as carefully as I possible can each time. Has no one ran into this?

I have a bug, every time I get to a place where there is a loading screen, for example when Barney tells me to escape and I get to a room with stairs, the game crashes
I have an issue where even though I did everything properly as far as I can tell, the maps are still the original versions and not the remastered ones. A few textures are also missing and just appear as the purple and black one even though they have the normal maps of the proper texture
does this work with Half-Life 2: Update? Do you just like throw it into the custom folder in the hl2:u folder?

i can't get MMOD to work with Fake Factory. Every time I follow your steps and launch MMOD it just boots up the base version of HL2 with the MMOD additions, and not Fake Factory.

i wish there was a way to get a way to make it a sourcemod to put it in the steam sourcemods folder as a seperate game. just like mmod
NPC and weapon models like in the main trailer from HLA need to be downloaded separately or are they in the mod, if they are not there, can someone post an assembly of mods and weapons?
Look up half life 2 remade assets then click on the guy who made it's name. Also get nemez's combine soldiers

please help, I downloaded everything just as it was in the instructions, but when I went in there were many objects and there were no walls, there were a bunch of black textures and yellow squares with the inscription, trigger, were flying everywhere, I can’t play normally because it’s not playable. Well, u need to install on the Half-Life 2 folder, just drag and drop there. Make a new installation of Hl2 on steam.

its not a source mod, its meant for mmod or vanilla hl2

How do I download mods with mmod. Some mods work properly but some don't. Some textures for props such as barrels or crates. Magnificent mod btw

Hello, I was able to install the mod and the "graphic improvement in the environment" was perfectly applied but what was not applied is the model of the zombies and the weapons, for example, the zombies still have the white coat instead of having the blue uniform of the citizens

You can use on mmod without the files on hl2 folder.

Pos: loved it, a great remaster with Xen flaura and new locations to explore.
The negative: i had to stop playing, to me the game was too dark in a lot of areas. If you're planning on edition the maps sometime, ps add more lights. I had to stop to recharge by flashlight multible times to the point it got pretty damn boring. So i didmt finish it :( Coast level was also a bit dark, might've been fixed if the buggy had headlights. Apart from that, loved it.

well the Highway 17 got some issues that need to be fix, i've recorded walkthrough videos and encountered some issues on the Highway 17 chapter, but otherwise great mod friend.
Encountered Problems:
first: the buggy somehow ends the game when i try to enter the crane site, i've tried for serveral times but it doesn't work so i have to ditch the car
second: the skybox is messed up on d2_coast_05 and also the character's voices somehow is slower than usual.
third: some d2_coast_04 map areas need to be fix.
Otherwise, very great mod tbh, this is my opinon about the mod, if you have some free time, check my walkthrough video to see the problem that i've encountered.
the game is actually slowed down to 0.75 and to fix that write in the command host_timescale 1
Please upload it somewhere else than google drive, google drive has limited downloads and your file is blocked for download in less than 2h.

What's the point of that? Both this mod an HL2 update replace maps, you use one or the other.

Personally, I still think that this mod is not ideal to play in the current state. The drastic change in the time of day, Ravenholm in general, the lack of lighting, it all makes it just difficult to play this mod. There are also numerous bugs and inconsistencies. I would elaborate further, but you have no discord server, so I cannot easily provide the bugs. I want to help make this mod the best it can be, a definitive remaster.

I think you can verify game files for HL2 and it'll remove the mod files
@@AdminHouse You actually need to delete Half Life 2 from the steam files. That should do it.
After I'll dowloaded The Patch, then Launch The Game, I Realize the map has buggy A lot! (Me saying Have trouble.)
