    Two comments:
    1. Where do you get those welding visors?
    2. It would help if you mentioned what approximate size the helmet is. Or perhaps that is mentioned on the patterns?

    • @TristanMaker
      @TristanMaker  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I got the visor on Amazon. And yes, the sizing of the helmet is specified in the sizing chart in the pictures of the listing on Etsy.

    If I can’t get 8mm foam would it be better to replace it with 6mm or 10mm?

    • @TristanMaker
      @TristanMaker  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A high density 6mm foam should be the best option.

    I was wondering can you provide the link where you got the welding shield from

    • @TristanMaker
      @TristanMaker  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I live in Canada so the link I use won't work for you if you are from the United States or any other country.
      Look for one that looks the same as the one un the video and it will work. They're all pretty much the same thing.

    so my question is, how do you know how much of an angle cut do you make when doing these? I haven't bought the file yet, but I would love to know how precise I should be to get things to look as good as possible

    • @TristanMaker
      @TristanMaker  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I normally cut all my angles at 40° unless specified. I find that the typical 45° angle doesn't give the right look.

    • @KojiWoji_
      @KojiWoji_ ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TristanMaker ahh okay! I'm new to cutting eva foam so i guess you just eye ball the 45 degree first and go a little less to get a 40 degree?
      also what about like the angle cut at 1:40? any advice on how to get it as clean as possible like yours? my last question would also be does the template tell you which foam pieces be in what MM?

  • @JuiceBoxBlobb
    @JuiceBoxBlobb ปีที่แล้ว

    Overly specific problem, but I've bought the template however I now can't source 8mm EVA foam anywhere. I live in Northern Ireland and even companies in England are refusing to shop it here for some reason. Any workarounds? Could I use 10mm?

    • @TristanMaker
      @TristanMaker  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In this case I would recommend using high density 6mm foam to replace the 8mm foam

      You can print it at home by following the printing tutorial video linked in the product description on Etsy.
      If you don't have a printer, any print shop will work. Just tell them to print it full scale.
