This is one of the most impressive EVA foam helmet builds Ive ever seen!! TOP marks to you!!!
Thanks man, this means a lot coming from you! I have been watching your videos for years and learned to cosplay using your templates!
dude your finishing for foam is literally flawless
Wow! You can’t stop to impress me. As a maker, i can see how all your techniques are perfectly executed. Hope to see more work from you, Maybe Boba Fett?
Thank you! Hopefully after the clone armor I can make Boba Fett's armor and helmet!
this looks great! i love the paint job. can’t wait to buy these templates and make my own!! thank you so much for these builds. i’ve done your clone trooper ones and they are amazing!! you do such a great job, and i love to watch your videos
Thank you! I'm glad you like my work! :)
Whoa! I’m blown away 🤯
Another fine addition to your collection.
Haha yess!
I bought the templates today!
Gonna build it tomorrow
Awesome! Have fun crafting :)
@@TristanMaker I finished the helmet today and i couldnt be happier with how it looks! Thanks for the amazing templates 🔥
This looks extremally legit!
Two comments:
1. Where do you get those welding visors?
2. It would help if you mentioned what approximate size the helmet is. Or perhaps that is mentioned on the patterns?
I got the visor on Amazon. And yes, the sizing of the helmet is specified in the sizing chart in the pictures of the listing on Etsy.
Awesome I really want to make some eva armor and both phase 1 and 2 helmets from your tutorials but right now I’m doing another project so I can’t
Awesome work!!!
Thank you!
This looks fantastic, I'm gonna make one!
love it man! Building helmets is sooooo fun
Thanks!
Can you link to the visor? I cant find it online anywhere (im in germany)
Can you use an air dryer as a heat gun? Thanks 🙏
Unfortunately no. It doesn't get anywhere hot enough.
@@TristanMaker ok thank you very much
@@TristanMaker and, can you use rubber cement instead of contact cement?
Yessssssssss
Gonna challenge myself and try my hand at building this!
Cool!
Could you do a commander cody helmet phase 2
I was wondering can you provide the link where you got the welding shield from
I live in Canada so the link I use won't work for you if you are from the United States or any other country.
Look for one that looks the same as the one un the video and it will work. They're all pretty much the same thing.
@@TristanMaker oh alright thank you
Молодец! Отличный результат. Обычно из евы получаются некрасивые шлемы.
This is so cool! where did you learn to do this? I want to get started myself but don't know where to start in learning different techniques / tools that would be useful.
Thanks! I learned with TH-cam videos like this one and practiced a lot. You can find all the tips you need to get started with cosplay right on TH-cam.
Hello I would like to ask what are the sizes of the helmet? Like height, width and depth?
so my question is, how do you know how much of an angle cut do you make when doing these? I haven't bought the file yet, but I would love to know how precise I should be to get things to look as good as possible
I normally cut all my angles at 40° unless specified. I find that the typical 45° angle doesn't give the right look.
@@TristanMaker ahh okay! I'm new to cutting eva foam so i guess you just eye ball the 45 degree first and go a little less to get a 40 degree?
also what about like the angle cut at 1:40? any advice on how to get it as clean as possible like yours? my last question would also be does the template tell you which foam pieces be in what MM?
Roman helm tutorial end at 3:30
Perfection
Thank you!
Finally
Yay!
You should do a BARC helmet next
That's a great suggestion, I love that design. Maybe I'll have time to make one next year :)
Wow 👌
Thanks!
If I can’t get 8mm foam would it be better to replace it with 6mm or 10mm?
A high density 6mm foam should be the best option.
when printing out the template what size head am I looking at, just for a reference point? Mine is somewhere around 23" circumference. any suggestions on resizing if needed?
Check the sizing chart located in the pictures of the listing on Etsy. It shows what scale to print the templates for any size head.
Overly specific problem, but I've bought the template however I now can't source 8mm EVA foam anywhere. I live in Northern Ireland and even companies in England are refusing to shop it here for some reason. Any workarounds? Could I use 10mm?
In this case I would recommend using high density 6mm foam to replace the 8mm foam
hey what materials do i need? what thicknesses of eva foam?
All the materials and foam thicknesses are specified in the product description on Etsy
What size do you print the template?
For my head which is 23", I went with 100% scale but it is a little tight so 2% more should be perfect. You can watch my printing tutorial video if you don't know how to print the files.
How do you print on a a4 printer
Past self idk
Press poster
Ok
Where would you recommend printing the templates at?
You can print it at home by following the printing tutorial video linked in the product description on Etsy.
If you don't have a printer, any print shop will work. Just tell them to print it full scale.
thickness of eva foam?
Mostly 8mm foam but other thicknesses for the details. If you get the templates, all the thicknesses are specified.
I bought e templates
