I mean, if your species can just outlive your enemies and convince the other races to do your dirty work for you… you kinda do win wars, just indirectly lol.
I personally think the Protheans only wanted to use the Asari as slaves, as they did with other species from their cycle. The whole "we chose you to be the leaders of the next cycle" thing comes from a conversation between Javik and Liara, after the defeat of Thessia. When Shepard asks Javik if what he said was true, he says something like "I told her what she needed to hear". Given how pragmatic Javik is, I think he understood that Liara was one of the best assets this cycle has to defeat the Reapers, and realized he had to prevent her from breaking down. So he only told her whatever would make her feel better. Simple as that. Remember that Javik only has one goal : defeating the Reapers, and he's willing to do ANYTHING to reach that goal.
But they were greatly influenced by the Protheans. When you are in the temple on Thessia you see as much that the protheans blessed the Asari. And they believed their goddess even took the form of an asari after some time
What if the endgame was to have the asari as DNA incubators to one day bring back races lost through gene harvesting for a last ditch effort to save the species in the milky way galaxy? Sort of like a DNA backup drive.
Well if the Asari’s history is a lie to begin with since their “goddess” is just a Prothean, it could be possible that it’s not the only thing they’ve been deceived for 👀

This may be a little off-topic, but does anybody else think that in the final scene between Liara and Shepard in ME3 when they are in London for the final battle, that Liara 'procreated' with Shepard in that moment that they had together? I believe that Liara was so afraid of losing Shepard that she may have 'mated' in that moment to keep a piece of Shepard with her.
I've always believed that she did as well. She knew the risks and was making multiple plans and backups for future generations. Also, I could be wrong, but didn't they state that asari could reproduce whenever, so long as they've received the genetic material from a partner at some point?
@@Scottie_S They don’t actually receive genetic material from non-Asari, they just use other species biology as a sort of “guide” to randomize their own DNA. So the offspring of Liara and Shepard would have 0% of Shepard’s actual DNA, just Liara’s randomized DNA.

I see a problem with your asari theory why would the protheans need to uplift the asari if they were the race that was on same planet as the leviathans i think the race that was on planet with leviathans was the keepers. My point is the asari would have been harvested by reapers if they were around at time of leviathans and if they some how managed to survive they would have been more advanced than the protheans as well as ready for the next reaper attack
That’s why I said that the Asari could be a modified version of what was on the Leviathan planet. A species kept in secret and modified so it could one day inherit the galaxy and be able to exist forever. I know it’s a crazy theory, I was just brainstorming 😂🤷🏻♂️
It could be like the angara in Andromeda, but instead of reincarnating into another body, the asari were perhaps cloned from and modified from a selection of survivors? I'm reminded of the line in ME2 on Illium, where the salarian, turian and human debate about how the asari looks more like their own race than the others. I mean, they have belly buttons but don't give birth as mammals do.
Each race has the potential to be incredibly advanced and enlightened or completely powerful and destructive. - Asari are masters of diplomacy and biotics, they could evolve to be Masters of manipulation and mind control. - Quarian are master Engineers that can evolve to be master designers and all things technological - Turians are militaristic and disciplined that can evolve to be masters of warfare with the most powerful fleets - Salarians are Scientific and knowledge driven that can evolve to master energy, discoveries and warp the fabric of reality.

Seems like Leviathan and Turian have more in common. Turians being so militaristic would make them an excellent thrawl/guardian race. The metallic skin to help block radiation is also another indicator. How about Turian self sacrifice mentality.
About that whole "Asari turning into a militaristic state" thing. Yeah I did that in Stellaris with the Mass effect beyond relays mod. Because you have the best economy in the game you can just buy a shit ton of alloys to build a crap ton of ships even in early game. Near the end game I already conquered the entire galaxy.
Well, the similarity mentioned between the Asari and the Kett had me also wonder for a while. What if both were genetically engineered by Protheans as a means of assimilating and incorporating other sapient races? The difference being that Asari were created in an earlier, more optimistic era, where other races would peacefully share their good traits with the Asari while Kett were created in a later era of despair and pessimism as a way to assimilate other species with speed and brutal efficiency. I can also see other interesting possibilities for the Asari. It seems that not everything is fine and dandy with the Asari society. There were hints all around the series and the related media that there are tensions and strife between the ruling Matriarchs' council that seem to be stuck in their ways of subterfuge, diplomacy, macchiavelism (and possibly brainwashing and mentally castrating their commando acolytes) and the younger asari (joined by some unconventional matriarchs *ahem*Aethyta*) that chafe under the Matriarchs' thumb and want a chance to stir things up. After the Reaper Wars, these tensions will probably come to a boil, especially with the Matriarchs'failures in defending Thessia and their faux pas of keeping that certain Prothean Beacon a secret, a faux pas which will cause the asari a lot of galactic good will. This has the potential to cause an Asari civil war and the fracturing of the Asari society into conflicting factions - a nice, hot mess for the hero of Mass Effect: Next to fix.
I dont mind the asari. What I hated was how long Palaven held out in ME3 and then when the Krogan appeared it temporarily "turned the tide". I was like "Bitch no. Just no." Turian tactics are the absolute WORST imaginable to fight the reapers.
I would love for the Asari become the dominant race, possibly as villains. They’re my favorite race, so I don’t wanna hurt them, but from a lore standpoint, it would be HOT!
After my last playthrough, I did think it was weird that the Asari had commonalities with the Reapers. It would be interesting and kind of tragic for the Asari to be the next bad guys.
In some ways, it would be quite fitting. I imagine it would be a lot of people in the Milky Way galaxy that would be pissed off with the asari. They withheld knowledge that could have saved billions during the reaper War.
Idk if that would be the exact angle. They're not the kind to withhold given their biological nature, not to be weird. But the idea of integration. I would say maybe they become too prideful and begin to hold back as they feel they've reached their prime.
I like how in Mass Effect you had several, seemingly OP races on paper, but in "reality" they are what their political evolution have allowed them to be. Similar to countries on earth that have rich land but are not as developed as they should be.
Or the Protheans also found Leviathan artifacts, were indoctrinated or influenced, and then were instructed to uplift the Asari on the Leviathan's behalf because of the connections you made.
Oh shit and the melding does have a little bit of a superficial resemblance to the conversations with the leviathan. Asari would definitely be super genetically modified considering their current traits, or considering the millions of years, evolution could have drastically shifted them, especially considering their ability to incorporate non-Asari genetic material. The ability to meld with any species seems utterly useless evolutionarily considering they’re the only sapients from Thessia, and the Protheans, iirc, recognized the similarity of their touch-communication to the Asari melding ability and favored them for it, meaning it existed previously and wasn’t something the Protheans engineered. Maybe Leviathans designed them to be powerful for some eventual purpose, but intentionally kept them primitive to avoid Reaper attention, which the Protheans then fucked up unintentionally. That might explain (the real reason is the writers didn’t want huge disparities but w/e) why they seem to be more advanced than the other council races, but not nearly as much as several centuries and direct access to a Prothean obelisk would seem to result in. Maybe some sort of hard-coded tendency toward dispersed social organization and traditionalism, as a mechanism to ensure they remain beneath Reaper notice. Idk I’m spitballing, cool video!
Yeah I said they could be a variation of what was on the Leviathan planet. A modified version like I said it’s a crazy theory I just wanted to share it 😬
I don't really think that the Asari are the species the Leviathans evolved alongside of. Because the Leviathans evolved literally billions of years ago. For the Asari to be that race, or even a descendant of it, like we're descendants of early hominids, would mean that evolution on that planet would be so many times slower than on Earth that it would seem impossible. Also, that would mean that the Leviathans' homeworld would have to be Thessia, since it's the Asari's. But Thessia is so excellently suited to the Asari that I don't see this happening.
they never really adressed the fate of the salarians at the end of 3 i always assumed the ones that their planet was glassed like Thessia was, I cannot believe the froggos could put up much defense other than maybe building huge rockets to blast their planet away from the reapers by a system each time they came near

@@EndymionTv one other thing bro to help you with these theories you should check out 4biddenknowledge he talks in depth about real history found in ancient tablets dating back to at least 30000 years ago he suggests that the pyramids were built ironically 50,000 years ago👀. Not to mention this guy is a highly credible researcher and has a large following check him out cause a long of mass effect concepts ironically coincide with what he’s researched such as…. There being a war causing aliens to cease operation on this planet for awhile but a few races stayed hence why we still see ufo sightings there’s just so much more to this game that has to do with real life it’s crazy
I believe mass effect has something HUUUUUGE and people don’t even know because they don’t do real life research on the origins on man kind technology and the universe. The knowledge I have caused me to believe the protheans were mass effect’s answer to ancient Egyptians who were ATLANTEANS. The word being known as a coalition word containing multiple different species
The main problem I see with this idea is that the Leviathans ruled the galaxy millions of years in the past before the first harvest and the Asari were just a primitive race in the previous cycle when the Protheans ruled roughly 50,000 years ago. Seems a bit of a stretch.
How would the protheons come back In the milky way galaxy? They're an extinct race. Javik is the only one left. The protheons are gone, like all other species harvested by the reapers. Even the Batarians will soon become an extinct race.
Liara talks about it in me1 before having a fling so if later she becomes intimate wuth shephard after he is rebuilt and was altered by prothean technology then liara falls pregnant with an advanced shpehard
Its only the Asari and Leviathan connection I disagree with. Leviathans are according them the first and only Apex race, that dominated the galaxy before reapers, and depending on how you read things, could of created the reapers. The reaper cycle had been going for millions of years, so I dont see how the Asari could of been the other species on their planet. Not with Protheans being the Asari's Goddess and uplifting them just 50,000 years ago. Now where I think your theroy and alot of your points could be used would be with Protheans and Asari. Protheans really were not a "Good" Species just the last big one. What if a Prothean and Asari mated......it came out Prothean instead of Asari. Or a true hybrid. With the Protheans being all about being the most superior race and controlling all the other races of their time, along with Jarik existing in mind, fast forward 600 years to Andromeda. Say your right about Meridian being able to be made into a super Mass Relay connecting galaxies and we go back to find.......the Protheans are back and in force aligned with the Asari taking over the galaxy. Then toss in the Leviathans taking over other parts of the Milky Way. Which would make the Andromeda Initiative truly the last hope for the milky way races

They could be a version of that race though. That’s what the whole weird mollusk/clam/cuttlefish analogy is about 😂
I think you're giving Bioware ideas lol
😬😬😬😬😬😬
Embrace Eternity
How would the protheons come back In the milky way galaxy? They're an extinct race. Javik is the only one left. The protheons are gone, like all other species harvested by the reapers. Even the Batarians will soon become an extinct race.
Sir... I feel a kinship with you.
Ayyyeeee a fellow Endymion nice 🤙🏼
What I want to know is when the male gene died out.
I would say that you are indeed wearing a tin foil hat in this case.
Liara talks about it in me1 before having a fling so if later she becomes intimate wuth shephard after he is rebuilt and was altered by prothean technology then liara falls pregnant with an advanced shpehard
If the sint ending would be the begining of me4 they actuely would be stronger if they mate with reapers themself or the laviantheans
Ah shepards lesbian girlfriend Liara😏
The asari will have to pay for hiding the prothean beacon! Also the human are special in mass effect that why the collectors was focusing on them
