@@satzbau9185 Not really, HR gets infested first with Dlverslty Equlty and lncIusion hires because investor money giving out grants for that thing. Then they get their buddies in while getting the old devs fired, or harassed/threatened into compliance.
@@satzbau9185That’s the talent pool for the last 20 years due to DEI initiatives in ensuring a segment of society gets to be engineers too. People with no passion, skill, or talent.
Exactly. And someone actually wrote that. Meaning people had time to sit on the dialogue and polish it. Yet, among all the possible conflicts those two characters could've had, they chose to go with the one that exposes the narcissistic bully nature of the whole non-binary thing. You just need to be able to reverse the situation in your mind. But considering how flat the dialogues are and how all the information spoon-fed to you, the creators clearly don't have that degree of mental sophistication and don't expect the players to have it either.
Exactly what I was coming to comment! You want people to respect your abnormal pronouns, but you can't even refer to someone by their actual name? What a load of crap dude
And the fact schools entertain this nonsense drops all credibility of these institutions substantially. These people ignore biology and even make it up along the way to fit their narrative like “men can get pregnant” and can’t answer “what is a woman” which everyone learned in kindergarten or preschool (I’m sure they removed this like Bill Nye’s chromosome episode)
Unfortunately people with talent are being pushed to the side for these DEI hires. The good news unlike Hollywood comics and streaming gamers are the one group that doesn't put up with this and will quickly bankrupt your company if you keep going down this path. Don't like a game get your money back instant loss of profits.
Even as a "Teaching Tool" it's condescending and paints the Trans person in a terrible light. They're just a total asshole. Some idiot at Bioware that wrote this character was trauma dumping their own pathetic problems into this character and turned it into a poorly written toxic asshole. The people the game seems to be intent on painting as the bad guys, (It's mother and anyone accidentally using the wrong pronoun) actually shows them as being victims to this psychopath. I assume the only reason this character was allowed to be in the release version is because no one was brave enough to tell them how stupid the character was.
It's great that Bioware was respectful and realistic in their depiction of a non-binary character by making them completely unhinged, unlikable and emotionally unstable.
I find that utterly baffling. What were their expectations? Are we supposed to cowtow to this character as stunning and brave, or feel sorry for them being so very apparently messed in the head and provide them therapy sessions through showing them respect and teaching them people skills? I'm all for dealing with difficult companions - I romanced Morrigan and Jack, after all - but with this Taash person I really miss the Renegade punch.

Everyone know that having horns is what makes you a Qunari. Not adhering to the fascist theocratic culture of the Qun. It's not like horned people who stray from it's teachings aren't even called Qunari anymore and are instead called Tal-Vashoth or anything. But yeah, even Vashoth shouldn't be so free spirited they develop traits shown by the new character here. The entire species has been molded (even down to education camps) to fit a strict culture that reviles individualism. Rejecting the very idea of gender classification while "respecting" the Qun is a bit like having a character who sacrifices Goats to Satan regularly while claiming to be a Christian who goes to church on Sunday. It's idiotic to the point of being parody.
The writers forgot the Qunari literally means 'people of the Qun', but that is not the name of their race. Even if you play one of them(the ancient name is Kossith), you are always referred to as Qunari, despite not following the Qun. Vashoth or Tal-Vashoth is not mentioned either. They're all just Qunari. You can read the dragon age wiki and learn that, the writers did not..

4:20 Taash gets so upset and sensitive about getting called the wrong pronouns, but has no problem making up nicknames for Emmrich WHILE at the same time asking him for help, and then Emmrich gets gaslighted into apologizing to her after she insulted his job..
The simultaneous "the world is out to get me!" and "everyone else is trash" is common for that community. Its what happens when you believe everyone else is just as toxic as yourself.
It's because the Woke religion is a strict caste system, based on Intersectional Theory. Everyone gets a caste based on how many Oppression Points they have. Taash is "more oppressed" than Emmrich, therefore she's a much higher caste, therefore Emmrich must acknowledge this. Same reason why the whole "pull a Bharve" mess exists. Any lower caste person who does anything to which a higher caste person takes offense (even if it's just eating the last snack!) requires self-abasement by the lower caste person.
True. That’s how these people live. They gaslight EVERYONE and play the victim 💯 of the time. Can’t stand this. I don’t feel sorry for the companies one bit. I’m confused how tf this happened! These companies are imploding from within and act like they don’t understand how it doesn’t sell. Whoever is in charge of marketing is the NUMBER ONE PERSON TO BLAME.
you miss out that you can get it in monthly membership on EA Play. I played it on there. I can tell you most people with brains on PC would do that instead of dumping 60$ on this game.
This is bioware. These are the people they have been hiring for well over a decade. They care more about hires that check boxes over writers that can actually do the job they’re being hired to do.
So she can make fun of other people because "they're on the wrong side," but if someone questions her identity, they get a lecture or have to do 10 push-ups. Got it! 100% this was written by an actual trans person.
That was fucking wild. ""I hAvE tO dO 10 pUsh UpS BeCoS I MaDe a GrAvE MisTaKe bY mIslAbeLling sOmeOne" has gotta be the most immersion breaking cringe talk ever.
Exactly! You have a mentally underdeveloped tank who thinks her fellow adventurer is creepy and a mage who acts like a mad scientist but meddles with corpses to prevent more slaughter of the ones still living, the implications are far more profound than "Oh, sorry I've hurt your feelings, I'll do better". They have a common goal, prevent more deaths, despite doing it through different paths. Emmerich shouldn't be so conceding and Taash should take advantage of this moment to LEARN how not all things are black and white, there's a lot of grey area where a necromancer can actually do a lot of good. But noooo, let's respect everybody's fee fees and not learn through exposure and contrast.
And all the wokies that are used to the propaganda think it is just normal and they don't understand why others have problems with it, the same types of people that scream about any messaging that they don't like appearing anywhere.
It really feels like it is a deconfliction training that a corporation would make everyone watch once a year. Especially hearing “I am so sorry Taash, I didn’t realize necromancy made you so uncomfortable,” it gave me flashbacks to the Diversity Acceptance training I had to do when I was working for the government.
Who could've seen that adding gender identity politics in a dark fantasy setting would fail I hope this game is the end of Bioware and the IP is given to a more passionate studio

So, is any of this force gender politics part of the main story?
Taash demands to be called "they" but doesn't respect the way more simple wish of Emmerich to be called by his actual name, not some derogative necromancer term. That is a wonderful example for how the left works. It always only goes one way. And of course a discussion about the morally deep and hard to answer question of "is necromancy ok if used for a good cause?" can be broken down to "Sorry, didn't mean to scare you / yeah, sorry I didn't communicate me being scared". I can only assume how the conversations of the devs look like in real life. "Oops, sorry my p3d0phelia scared you" "Yeah, but now that you apologized for not paying attention to me being uncomfortable with it, I forgive you. Please take care of my child" ... We need a new crusade.

Credit where it's due: Taash actually is very representative of the trans community. Entitled, ignorant, self-absorbed, and really just an inconsiderate a-hole.
The tone shift, the Dreamworks-esque art style, the sanitised character interactions, the constant lecturing that feels like it's aimed at children with how safe all of the dialogue is, the very blunt messaging and the absolute lack of idealogical nuance throughout... Why do I get the horrible sinking feeling that this game, from a writing perspective at least, was made first to push woke propaganda onto children?
It was subtler before the mentally ill consultancy companies were exposed. They're out of control now because apparently they're doubling down because of the legitimate and immense sane people repulsion. It's as if they're trying to capture the stragglers, the unaware.

It's funny how the character who wants to force us to use specific words to refer to her as, also is unable to even call people by their given names because "you are that, though," having the irony completely missed because they're literally unable to comprehend their own hypocrisy. Every character i've seen in a movie or game so far that is pushing this ideology has been an extreme narcissist, and you think it's them not understanding how people work, then you find out that they brought in ACTUAL PEOPLE from the movement to help make the character's have accurate reactions. Honestly it sucks because it's SO close to being interesting. If this was the real Bioware you would have had the opportunity to actually take a side, and tell one of them to fuck off. And rather than having a feelings party afterwards about "caring about eachother" they would have been actual lasting conflict between characters. This has the stench of bad Saturday morning cartoon all over it.

The fact that Bioware is going to focus all its efforts into Mass effect 5 and abandon Veliguard is terrifying. Mass Effect 5 might as well be dead now.
Yup. If they go for a canon destroy ending route with Liara as the canon companion in the previous games (speculation only from the trailer), then I can already see them writing in shepherd and liara's kid as confused ardat yakshii who looks more masculine than the rest of the asari race and identifies as a nonbinary with the geth companion being overly sympathetic in dialog to said child despite being robots. Oh and the krogan are mexican now, who doesnt like violence.
I don't get why people pre-order. We used to pre-order back in 90s and 2000s because they only made a set amount of cassette and disks. If you don't pre-order, sometimes you got to wait 2-3 weeks longer to get a copy. They also used to give you little gifts for pre-order, like Tiberium Sun gave me a 3" metal NOD soldier! Now it is all digital sales. Why not just wait for reviews than buy the game???
To cite my friend who I asked the very same: „I really want the physical version and by preordering GameStop knows how many copies to order! :D“ Sometimes I don’t know why I’m still friends with her >__>
@@sabaqumurasaki7513 the last game I pre-ordered was Mass Effect Andromeda (2017). I did it since I was at a remote job site and hotel had slow wifi. I wanted the disk for a quick install. I cursed so loud the neighbor called management and police lol.
If the developer has a good track record, i.e Fromsoft, or Capcom when it comes to Monster Hunter I'll usually pre order because I trust I'll get a good product. It's a reward to the developers who've earned that trust. However if I can't trust the developer I'll wait for reviews if I'm somewhat interest. Usually through I won't even bother doing that and simply not buy the game regardless.
If that convo had taken place between Taash and Morrigan, Morrigan would have told Taash to go f*ck themself. Wow, the dialogue is atrocious, I also don't like how suddenly everything's like "Oh jeez I offended you? I am so so so so sorry! Let me apologize, grovel and scrape! Friends?" The sheer drop in maturity level is mind boggling, it's like an episode of Sesame Street where we learn how to apologize for mildly upsetting someone. What's the rating for this? PG?
Dragon Age is called the Dragon Age because at the end of the last "Age" the Dragons started showing up again, I think that was in the first Dragon Age Book ever. I read that book back in the day, when DA was still about story.
for most people it's "treat others the way you want to be treated." for these people it's "demand to be treated better than you treat everyone else, and if they don't, ruin their entire existence."
Big facts. She is an unflinching hypocrite like so many people like her. She can't stand people giving her labels but labels other people without remorse. I hate people and characters like this.
Taash is absolutely inconsistant as a Qunari. Says she doesn't follow the Qun but uses it as a reason to do some stuff. Is distrubed about resurected bodies even though Qunari do not care for the bodies of the deceased as the body is not the person to them.
For people coping, it has already been confirmed that Veilguard would not have DLC and that Bioware as a whole is focusing on Mass Effect 5. Their last Mass Effect title, Andromeda had a very similar pattern: the game was heavily criticized and Bioware was deflecting all criticism for a few months, until they had to announced that their DLC was cancelled due the game not reaching it sales goal, shortly after the branch that made the game (Bioware Montreal) closed down. In Veilguard's case is not exactly the same pattern, *it's worse:* The game wasn't even been out for a week and they have already stated that it will no feature DLC and they admitting the studio as a whole is just working on the next Mass Effect is PR speech for _Veilguard's team has been disbanded._ Andromeda sold 3 million and was deemed a failure, so not only Veilguard sold less but I'm willing to bet it didn't even passed a million, like I said the game is not even a week old and they already pull the plug.
I think IGN actually already told us this game was toast, as they say "if we never get another dragon age game..." they literally told us while shilling
If the game sold well you will normally hear about it from the developers, Example was when black myth and palword celebrated their sales. When it's not so good they keep quiet. So the silence is your answer.
This game is like a kid writing a D&D adventure with a character made in their image. You know it will be the center of attention, the most important person in the world, overpowered, untouchable, and they must be loved by everyone because they are nerver wrong.
At least you have the option to tell Halsin to not turn into a bear even while romancing him lmao I was more uncomfortable with the fact that every dialogue with him feels like a landmine. Like I just wanna talk to you bro I'm straight I ain't tryna get my ass burnt 💀💀
yeah halsin's bear scene is definitely... out there. but at least it was consensual; you can't get it to trigger if you don't choose it. the game even gives you loads of opportunities to back out (like every romance in the game)

This was an IP killer. I don't need a fantasy RPG to teach me real-world trans preferences.
Ones that we could as a society ignore if we just said, the labels are not about what you believe but what you are.
And talk to you like what they think a family therapy session involving immature 12 year olds is like.

The idea of a non binary Qunari is also ridiculous from a lore perspective given the strict nature of Qunari roles in society
Closer to Islam.

Ok, just watched your Taash / necromancer clip. My brain is leaking. This isn’t an RPG, it’s a touchy-feely corporate training session. No, really.
And the Lesson is children, that is a prime example how to NOT MAKE A GAME
And all the wokies that are used to the propaganda think it is just normal and they don't understand why others have problems with it, the same types of people that scream about any messaging that they don't like appearing anywhere.
It really feels like it is a deconfliction training that a corporation would make everyone watch once a year. Big facts. She is an unflinching hypocrite like so many people like her. She can't stand people giving her labels but labels other people without remorse. I hate people and characters like this.
Is there a "Cringe of the Year" award I'm not aware of that all these games are trying to win?
We need a Razzies for video games.
Dragage rearguard: We are going to teach you a lesson.
Players: No, we are going to teach you a lesson!
Taash is absolutely inconsistant as a Qunari. Says she doesn't follow the Qun but uses it as a reason to do some stuff. Is distrubed about resurected bodies even though Qunari do not care for the bodies of the deceased as the body is not the person to them.
God that discussion between over their feelings was cringe as hell!!!
Felt like I was watching children talking.
I refuse to listen to that sort of blather at work, and I'm actually paid to be there, why would I want it in my entertainment?
Bioware has been dead for a while this was just the final nail in the coffin
For people coping, it has already been confirmed that Veilguard would not have DLC and that Bioware as a whole is focusing on Mass Effect 5.
Their last Mass Effect title, Andromeda had a very similar pattern: the game was heavily criticized and Bioware was deflecting all criticism for a few months, until they had to announced that their DLC was cancelled due the game not reaching it sales goal, shortly after the branch that made the game (Bioware Montreal) closed down.
In Veilguard's case is not exactly the same pattern, *it's worse:* The game wasn't even been out for a week and they have already stated that it will no feature DLC and they admitting the studio as a whole is just working on the next Mass Effect is PR speech for _Veilguard's team has been disbanded._
Andromeda sold 3 million and was deemed a failure, so not only Veilguard sold less but I'm willing to bet it didn't even passed a million, like I said the game is not even a week old and they already pull the plug.
I think IGN actually already told us this game was toast, as they say "if we never get another dragon age game..." they literally told us while shilling
Except I liked Andromeda
It all becomes obvious that BioWare should have died forever ago. But dei kept it alive
@@coldsteelblue7275But IGN gave it a 9/10!!!! I stopped trusting their reviews bc sometimes it seems like they’re getting paid for them.
@@foetaeyungla oh the score is defo a reflection of them being paid, no doubt, it's just it's an odd line to add if the game's worth that rating
If the game sold well you will normally hear about it from the developers,
Example was when black myth and palword celebrated their sales.
When it's not so good they keep quiet.
So the silence is your answer.
Yeah if it did sell decently well every woke AS in X would be shouting it out to high heaven.
NO PLANS for DLC being dropped that fast means it was a MASSIVE flop.
@@braddl9442 The most bizarre thing is. The publisher already know this way before the game was even released.
Maybe those corpses identify as being alive.
They've transitioned from being dead to being alive and Taash isn't respecting that.

Saw the LGBTQ+ tag on steam and knew what I was in for with this game and decided not to buy. Turns out I was right.
Tash feels like someone you constantly need to walk on eggshells around to avoid a confrontation.
Nah, I'm certain the modders will make it where we can just avoid her entirely or just delete the character XD
The person that can't be fired because it will be a PR nightmare.
@@gravemistakes8427ain't no moder touching that pile of doo doo crap
This game is like a kid writing a D&D adventure with a character made in their image. You know it will be the center of attention, the most important person in the world, overpowered, untouchable, and they must be loved by everyone because they are nerver wrong.
The 18+ scene with the bear in BG3 made me uncomfortable but this scene with tash or whatever her name is made me feel violated in the worst way.
At least Halsin was nice about it, and even apologised.
I still can't believe anyone bought this heaping pile of trash they call Dragon Age. As soon as I heard about there being woke ideology forced in i knew i wasn't going to buy it. I'll never pay for anything that's been touched by woke ideology. I love Dragon Age, I've played all 3 at least 20 times apiece. This isn't Dragon Age and I for sure will not touch this trash.
Whoa. Taash getting up in Rooks business was a little...assault-y. Like not even in an interesting character way. It just felt really uncomfortable.
I've played pron games on newgrounds with bad scenarios and Taash made me uncomfortable.
@@Saltedroastedcaramel yeah same xd it's almost a talent to top that

TAASH was a distillation of what the TRANS activists think they should be able to get away with in society. In the end its so gross and creepy and horrible that everyone is going to end up hating them cause of this character. They will now be compared to this character till the end of time cause of how vile TAASH is and how manipulative and misogynist she is. She really is the TRANS ideal.
If someone doesn’t like something I say, that’s their problem, not mine.

Everyone’s talking about bad writing but Taash perfectly captures a non-binary person in their terrible, narcissistic glory. It’s actually 10/10 writing.
The bad writing is that we can’t call her behavior out. Aw shit….
But 1/10 for writing that anyone wants to read.
@@ohsweetmystery It really is painfully bad writing that's so out of place in an RPG. Accurate for the character though, even if that wasn't their intention!
It also perfectly capture how they usually look.
😂😂😂
The non whatever complains and complains while people around her have to listen😂
The dialog is like an after school special. Its like its written for little kids and they have really weird pauses in conversation that feel very out of place.
Pre-schooler morality tale
It would have actually been funny if she had said. "I'm sorry I called you a skull fucker"
The Iron Bull said Fucker didn't he. It's been a while what the hell happened to M-rated games having curses and gore in it.
Although the game is rated for adults they're making it for children, as the rainbow gestapo always sing about indoctrinating kids...not creepy at all...

So Tosh is like every Trans person. Well, mission accomplished BioWare. You captured the unlikability perfectly.
Tbf not every trans person is like that… the majority aren’t but the ones in the media are the loudest and most desperate narcissistic pieces of shit looking for attention and pity
Nailed it
yeah she acts like 90% of T people . the sad part is there are others who say "its not true"
Remember when nerds who grew up playing dnd used to make games?
Taash is the perfect example of these devs self-inserts combined with millennial style writing. This character is made by people who expect everyone to cater to them and their feelings. While being the same insensitive asshats they claim upset them. They are insufferable and they talk in condescending and ironic tones. As if nothing is serious. And when it is serious, the character and these people have the emotional capacity of a toddler to actually handle it. The characters and writers all just come off emotionally and mentally stunted adult-children. Who’s writing never moved past that of the Borderlands or Marvel style of humor and writing.
The dialogue with Taash and DA:V. Feels that akin to conversations you’d hear on a modern day college campus. Made by people, who were never funny or cool outside their own group of friends and the people they surrounded themselves with. So no surprise, when you get all these types of people together to make a game. This is the writing you get.
As in self inserts.
damn i lost braincells wathing that conversation between Taash and Emmrich.
From the player numbers alone I knew this game was already a flop. Glad to know we were right!
80k might be underwhelming but its nowhere as bad as concord's 600 players or suicide sqaud's 13k
Its a win/success from the wokes perspective
but its not, its tracking higher than star wars survivor which ended up at 10 mil, the previous dragon age was 12 mil so this is looks to be on part with the last one.
not a failure as hard as these obsessed youtubers want it to be
youtubers and streamers have already made exponentially more collectively from the games release than bioware themselves.. and damn the tracking, theres no way this game even hits 5m..

I am afraid of what is to come in ME 5 ... I had high hopes but seeing this brain damaged people doing this to Failguard , I am really afraid.
I bet there are a lot of people looking at DA2 going “Perhaps I treated you too harshly”.
DA2 was a very good game, stop shitting on it for no reason other than it just wasn't Origins level masterpiece.
Then only things I didn't like about DA2 were the reused maps, the crapshoot of the ending, and the middling male Hawke love interests. (Merril > Isabella)
Then again, it's been a decade since I played it.
@@SomeDigitalGhost it also had Anders turning bi and becoming a possible gay romance option. Thankfully it was never shoved in your face, you just had an option to flirt with him once and you could ignore it. Though I'm not sure if he was bi because of the spirit possessing him, or if it was actually just him.
I’m not. It’s like the Star Wars prequels to me. People may not have liked it at the time but sometimes it takes see a truly bad DA game to appreciate DA2
@@cloudfair2no…the prequels were always bad. Worse stuff doesn’t magically make them not bad. This is nonsense.

Even without Taash, this game is weird, childish, too light- hearted, the. Tone is off, its characters are ugly, the writing sucks and, I mean, the game looks totally different from previous installments....just everything about it is *wrong* and removing the DEI hire from the game would only be 1 of *many* things this game would need done to it to make it better.
What did they do to the Darkspawn? They were never zombies. They were twisted, corrupted versions of the races based on the race of the poor woman that got turned into a broodmother. They were intelligent, could use arms and armor, set traps, and plan ambushes. They weren't some Dead Space necromite knock-off you could superglue some scythe hands on and say "job done."
I’m sorry, I agree with you, but… “You’re speaking like you’re asking a question? Even though you’re not?”

From Sten to Taash......😥
Sten, the Arishok from 2, and Bull would wipe the floor with Taash.
We need a fanfic where Taash meets Sten and he explains to her what Qun really is.

Duncan died for this...
So Emmerich identifies as emerich, doesn't want to be referred to as death mage. But taash refuses to respect that. Doesn't even pull a barv for him

That dialog was painful.
Did i seriously just hear the word skull f- ing in a dragon age game...
Well, that’s what they’re doing to their franchise.
I mean they nailed it perfectly. A character that is trans, ignoring other people's preferences while demanding everyone follow her preference. Also hilarious that a trans character is calling a necromancer a sexual degenerate. The nailed the modern left perfectly.
This game will suffer the same fate as Concord
Unfortunately, I’m sure EA will keep it on sale. Look at how they handled Anthem
Nah, it's beyond that point and it doesn't need upkeep the way a Live-Service game does.
It's out and there's no way of giving it back. But hopefully it won't earn them any money.
Here's hoping the company will follow.
It's not a live service game like concord was. There's no extra $ being spent to host servers and devs to update the game so they'll just leave it alone and declare losses on their taxes instead of shuttering it for a full write off.
Don't be daft
I just saw the dialog from Taash in german (my mothers language as a swiss). It sounds even WORSE than in english why? Because THEY/THEM cannot be translated into german because those words DOESN'T EXIST at all in our language. So they made some fantasy pronouns that are crazy af.
