      I have a question for you as a Jollibee crew member....how come a lot of the Jollibee stores in the US and Canada only have Filipino service crew? I never saw a white or black service crew member. All Filipinos. Isn't that discrimination?

    • @rheansequina9242
      @rheansequina9242 5 ปีที่แล้ว +62

      @@nilobeebee sir it is not a form of discrimination. The reason why Jollibee Crew members are mostly filipinos because the owner of the fast food chain is a filipino and a side from that we are known to be the most hospitable people... 😉😉😉 just sayi'n.

    • @shuunosukesato4379
      @shuunosukesato4379 5 ปีที่แล้ว +28

      @@nilobeebee Your question can also be asked to most fastfood chains and restaurants actually. There are also fastfood chains which are composed of all American/Caucasian crew. Actually, if you have been in the Philippines, you will see that many chains of Jollibees have foreigner crews that either lived/studies here without the support of their family or actually working as a staff for the company. It's the same as other companies, they prioritize the locals who knows how the business works. Jollibee is like a part of the Filipino culture so it is only fitting to get employees who know it very well. It also helps in food recommendations for foreigners who want to try the food for the very first time.

    • @nilobeebee
      @nilobeebee 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@shuunosukesato4379 Uh, no. A lot of fastfood chains in the US have a bigger proportion of Latino and African American crew members. These are menial jobs that Caucasians generally don't apply for especially in urban locations. That's why when the Jollibee store is crewed by a majority of Filipinos, you get curious as to whether the company discriminates against non-Filipino applicants or the pay they are offering is so low that only undocumented Filipino workers would take it. And by the way, I live in the Philippines and I haven't seen a Jollibee branch here where there are foreigners as crew members. You're making stuff up.

    I tried most of the fried chicken in every fastfood and restaurant in the Philippines and outside the country and I don't wanna be bias frankly speaking The chicken of jollibee is the best
    Not just the food
    But it's the people behind it the crew and manager are awesome serve you with a smile
    And this is the only fast food restaurant in the world who always get the diamond standard award when it comes to food safety and cleanliness so you'll expect to eat great and clean food.
    Not like some other countries if the customer has an attitude or asshole they might spit or put something shit on your food.
    Filipinos value and respect food. So no matter how rude the customer is you will still receive great and clean food.

    Filipino viewer here in Thailand:
    The lady who try the bread earlier...
    In the Philippines that particular bread' is called "PANDESAL" it's a local bread we usually eat it in early mornings.. I still remember when I was a kid.. early morning a bicycle bread vendor ... brings or delivers Hot Pandesal in our house,
    For breakfast..
    Pandesal is so good with native coffee and even better with our local hot chocolate drink we call it (Sik-wa-te)
    You should try it sometimes,
    Look for a simple Filipino restaurant or a Filipino shop for sure they sell that native chocolate drink.
    Anyway your channel is Awesome!

    As a former Filipino overseas resident (London and DC to be exact), I very well understand my fellow Filipinos' clamour and excitement for Jollibee. Jollibee enables them to feel closer to home and/or to their loved ones in the Philippines. Through its food, Jollibee makes them feel comforted, warm, and buoyed up. That said, the food offerings are simple yet tasty, no wonder why foreigners have fallen in love with Jollibee as well. There's one famous foreign celebrity who comes to mind whenever love for Jollibee is the subject, it's none other than Sandara Park of 2ne1.
    Anyway, thank you for this video! Enjoy Jollibee!

    Apparently most Americans *prefer* a sweet tasting, chunky pasta sauce. Probably not as sweet as Jolllibee's but there's that.
    I don't like it sweet but I definitely use sugar to cut down the acidity. I was at a restaurant last night and it was so acidy, I slipped in and emptied a sugar packet into the bowl of marinara for the calamari to cut it down. 🇮🇹🇺🇸
