  • The title says it all lol
Also the show indicates that the Shuttle refuels in Earth orbit for TLI and possibly lunar orbit for TEI, and given the fact Jamestown serves as a sort of refueling station for spacecraft with its hydrolox supply, the shuttle could have enough fuel to slow down its velocity to conventional speed for reentry.

It was a bad decision for Ed to bend the rules for Gordo. I'm not saying that I did not want to see a redemption arc, I just think we needed better justification for Ed's decision. The story line just spiraled out of control after this. And yes, I was happy to see Gordo make a comeback.

    Show name: For All Mankind.
In an alternative version of 1969, the Soviet Union beats the United States to the Moon, and the space race continues on for decades with still grander challenges and goals.

@description: Not without the ET, it wouldn't. Even if the shuttle's cargo bay was converted to a fuel tank, there isn't enough volume for the required amount of hydrolox, even refueling in Earth and lunar orbits.

oh, only the best space show there is. for all mankind (apple tv+)
please, grab a seat and allow me to convey the premise.
in 1969. the first man steps foot on the moon. only one this is wrong. that man is alexi leonov, russian cosmonaut. the show kicks off with the russians landing on the moon first, and america playing catch up. this livens up the space race, and we soon get moon bases, women in space in 1972, and so much more! it is phenomenal. watch it.

The shuttle only had about 1000 m/s delta-V left once in LEO. Is that even enough to make it to a lunar orbit and dock with that moon lander/shuttle? Maybe they packed some extra fuel into the loading bay?
