Little did the 3 of them know they had already lost.

What the 1990s could’ve been, imagine humanity’s advancement if we would’ve focused on science and exploration instead of war and pseudo colonialism, once we lost our rivals, we lost our way….

Maybe, but perhaps it was worth it?
Life in the Soviet Union was utter shit for so many people. The irony being that the majority of the people these days that espouse its superiority as a political system (mostly college students or recent graduates) would have been the first against the wall during the purges.
They called them "counter-revolutionaries", and any demand for improvement would be deemed antisocial if it didn't benefit the proletariat (though de facto the Party) at your expense.
SImply put: you couldn't protest for an improvement of your own life, only the lives of others. And if you did protest for an improvement of your own, you were sent to a gulag.

I can’t think of a better song to play during this turning point in the series. Perfect.

All of season 3 was rough, but the beginning and the end in different ways. First few episodes felt so internally adversarial (and made me start to lose interest because of it, but I'm glad I stuck it out), like it was all falling apart, and the last part of the season the exact obverse (the secession of hostilities, but god was it a kick in the gut).

This scene is just so epic. The song choice is superb, gives me the chills.
The song has an impending sense of Doom in it, and for those who have watched Season 3, this song and them starting their journey too it, it foreshadowing hard af.

Well with Elons Starship well on the way to success after the last test the race is really on to the moon and beyond.
This is a fantastic series and aptly timed to reignite peoples interest in space.

Starship is nowhere close to success. And the SpaceX Mars mission will only happen if Starlink becomes 20X more profitable than it currently is.

Note the complaint of the H3 renewable energy.
Thing is, you upset the energy sector by phasing it out too quickly, and you'll cause massive financial strain. Normally a strong economy can bear it, but in our current economy with the only thing keeping multiple sectors going right now is the belief that they will (which is a "benefit" of a fiat currency), if investors get scared at the collapse of one market, the others will go with it.
Phasing out oil by 2035 is impossible, and you're destroy civilization in the process, because we it starts to see losses, the residential and commercial real estate markets with collapse, along with our current infrastructure issues and finally our coming inability to payback even the interest on our national debt.
    We're basically fucked.
Tell me how wrong I was in 5-10 years.
