    Honestly, fire Antuan. The sheer disregard of his job is apparent here. He stated himself that he didn't have time to look up the specs however he knew that it had 350 HP and 260-something lb-ft. However, he didn't take the extra second to see that it was a 3.7L engine, not a 3.5L. That's ridiculous. You on purpose created this off-shoot channel for all things about cars and he states himself that he can't be bothered to spend 5 seconds to get true information. He's a journalist, that's what journalists do. I would understand if it was something obscure or unknown. But the 370Z has been out for the better half of a decade now and it's been a 3.7L engine ever since it got the 370 name. CNET on Cars is going downhill fast. Nothing bothers me more when I see a lazy reporter publishing information that is readily accessible to literally anyone. Type in "2017 370Z Nismo" and the first result on google is a small specs sheet where engine displacement is one of the first points. Antuan, you need to be ashamed of yourself for calling yourself a journalist and publishing crap like this. If you're going to publish information, double check your facts and statements. Or at the very least take 3 seconds to find the basic facts. Honestly, I'm disgusted by this. CNET an Cooley, take care of this joke of a reporter. Emme is ok thus far, maybe a little less forced dialogue would go a long way for her

I own a 2017 nismo and 2015 sti, I can tell you 100% of out factory the nismo is faster than the sti, not from a dig but it will creep up and pull away from the sti. 350Z had a 3.5L engine, 370z has, you guessed it, a 3.7L engine.
    Assuming it's a 2016 370z Nismo edition it makes a bit more Horsepower but a bit less torque than the STI.
    STI is more practical if you need space, the ride quality isn't too bad considering the handling and power.

      Jonathan Pontel Sports cars aren't classified by their speed. A sports car is a lightweight coupe, by definition. The STI is neither lightweight or a coupe. Hell, a Miata is more of a sports car than an STI, even though it's obviously not as fast.

    • @orneryduck4646
      @orneryduck4646 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Emme Hall is one of the 'big boy' professionals.
      Sometimes flubs happen, especially when it comes to specs. Owning a car or being a fan of a car and knowing the specs of said car is one thing. It is a different animal to be given a car for 72 hours and have to fit in: driving it, understanding it, writing an article or script about it, in their case shooting the video, then possibly editing it in post after the fact if they don't have a dedicated editor, all while also likely doing re-shoots or photography for other mediums and executing on the social media aspect that doesn't tie directly back to the video itself. Once the pros get through that, they then get the keys to another car and it is rinse-repeat, thousands of cars... easy to get confused on a small number that anyone can look up on their own without the car with them. Matters a whole lot of not at all.
      What matters is that they can communicate how the car feels, how it sounds, and how it performs in the moment, the things they are experiencing as the content creator, that we as the viewership are not.

  • @gravityhammer25

    I'm glad I went with an STI! Fun and extreme but still very practical.
    Low RWD coupes are fun (my old Zx)... but when the weather is bad they kinda suck because you gotta drive extra slow and careful which takes away the sports car element. Not to mention the blind spots.... I mastered the blind spot on my Z... but I have had fucking Tractor Trailers that were hidden by it... I have my mirrors adjusted all the way out too certain angles on certain merges you just cant see shit. I'm sure the 370z's blind spot is even worse with those tiny side windows.

    • @gravityhammer25
      @gravityhammer25 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      No fuck off, STI is a better all around chassis then the Z32 hands down. Besides that my Z is a Z32 2+2. I know how to drive my the 2+2 WHICH slides even easier then a 2+0 in the rain pendulum effect. Ive driven it through plenty of downpours, floods and standing water.. in cold weather on summer tires, etc. Snow and ICE but I want a car that I can just drive to work with no bullshit.
      If I adjust the STI center diff to full rear and turn traction control off it will slide.... but what the fuck is the point of sliding i'm in heavy rush hour traffic with Semi Trucks and Dump Trucks that could literally run the Z32 over if you fuck up. Drifting on streets = fucking retarted...
      The Z32 is and solid heavy but not invincible... slide sideways and hit a pole or tree the wrong way and your done. The side is the weakest part of the Z32... very weak in side impact from what I have seen. Metal is soft.... no high strength steel in that chassis. Those poles and trees will cut through a Z32 like a hot knife through butter. And no the hardtop does not improve on that side weakness. Doesn't matter how much balls you think you have there is no negotiating with physics.
      It's old 90s tech... I like the Z32's look but my 2+2 is obsolete, overweight and a 4 door sedan with AWD is lighter and handles better then it...
      NOT WORTH IT. I have nothing I need to prove to anyone and STI is how i'm doing it.

    • @gravityhammer25
      @gravityhammer25 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are both cars... STI is better in all areas FACT. Has your Z32 ever seen snow? Can you drive your Z32 on Gravel?, Mud? Sand?
      The funny thing is I could put my STI around a track faster then you could put your Z32 even if you have more HP. You have a heavy cast iron lump in the front with PISS POOR weight distribution... Z32 is like a fucking pickup truck lol. "Never an issue". It's never an issue until there an issue. Your overconfident and the Z32 is gonna bite you for that...
      I know I can drive my Z32 in the rain well.. it's just no ideal... I was doing 70-80mph turns in pouring rain one summer I know I can drive... but its dumb. The STI does it all better.
      I went with Subaru because it is the best car available... and has a proven power plant.
      Your driving a Nissan with a Toyota engine... Blasphemy. You could have put an N/A VH45 (which is underrated) and made just as much power to the wheels. VH45 is actually a swap idea I have and it is the BEST Swap for a Z32... when I have time to waste on something as SILLY as doing that on a Z32. There is nothing special about what you did... Cookie cutter build lol. Everybody has a 2JZ.
      EDIT: Or you could have went VG30DETT... you lazy fuck. Inline 6 is for lazy people.

    • @gravityhammer25
      @gravityhammer25 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your an idiot. The STI's transmission is STRONG and heavy duty, they don't break. The old 02-03 WRX's had weak transmissions. You were driving a regular WRX and if you shattered a gearbox then you couldn't shift for shit. STI has the option to turn traction control off... your argument is invalid about driver assists. If you take your Z32 on gravel it must be the biggest POS Z ever. Ive driven my Z32 in the snow, I know how to slide it but thats not the point. Z32's are not made for that kind of crap. Z32's are highway cruisers.
      THEY DONT EVEN MAKE THE LANCER EVO ANYMORE FOOL! Mitsubishi lost their Balls and Evo's are the ones with weak transmissions. STI has always been the better car. Mitsubishi Evo's all have loose timing chains and bend their valves or randomly spin their bearings.
      Also Z32 is not a "No Bling" sports car... bullshit. Why do you think the Z32 is so heavy? It is a 90s Luxury Sports car. Here the Z32 is known as the 300zx (X is for Luxury). And it is a grip car actually... it's not like your driving a 240SX or Toyota MR2... Z32's are not as twitchy as you say but they still suck in poor weather. If you wanted to race your going to need to figure out how to make your Z drive on water becuase i'm on a different continent.... but if your in Australia i'm not sure why you even go with a Z32 anyway... R34's are a better choice and available to you. BTW VH45 is not that big... actually leaves alot of room.
      Z32 really does not take skill to drive and the funny thing is with all that weight in the front and the weight distribution the first thing EVERY Z32 (modified or not) does is UNDERSTEER! Then it goes into Oversteer if kept on the power and your too stupid to notice your going beyond it's limit.

    • @gravityhammer25
      @gravityhammer25 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not relying on tech at all.... I own and drove a Honda S2000 AP1 before I got my STI... the AP1 is even twitchier then your Z32 ever would be... essentially a Front-Mid Engine car. My S2000 also has no traction control or any nannies.... I know how to drive... and if you think you can just drive an STI care free your wrong... it requires knowledge of driving dynamics just like any other car does. It's not like a Nissan GTR.
      In FACT... I bought the AP1 because the Z32 was not raw enough.
