Excellent on all aspects. It's amazing how these independent film producers can create this using CGI and to credit, hire good actors. I'm sharing this one!
A couple years ago everybody was making films in the dark so you could see very little now it has gone full circle and my eyes are watering.
I could never make sense of the battle damage. Some shots wipe out the freaks easily and instantly, while at other times it seems like they take repeated hits with no ill effects. Same with the Templars. Why would they close with the freaks if their hand to hand combat accomplishes nothing? It all just struck me as silly instead of engaging.
The fight at the farmhouse was insane, I could barely see anything because of all those flashy effects. I still enjoyed it.
watched in full screen more clear great movie
I appreciate the focus needed to create this on such a tiny budget. I was involved right to the end.
I never comment.... but holy crap ! Great mini movie.
When I finish a film and it held me the entire way - not once thinking about the acting - then I know it was great! Well, done!!! Thanks!
Wow!!! that was fantastic!!!!!!!!!
Great job, NOVR! And the end drop about the protective order explained the different armor and approach. Brilliant work all around, Thank you!
was looking for this for two years now ......i couldnt get it out of my head
Excellent beyond compare, makes me want to watch an entire movie or series based on this story.
Most short films leave me with a hundred questions, but this was totally awesome.
Very nice! Those Alien dudes look like they are a cross between Bat and Vorcha to me.
Fantastic . I really enjoyed this ride it would be fun to do more episodes , WELL DONE !!!
I'm 46 and as a lifelong fan Idk if I've ever seen a better short..Awesome Work!!
Just saw this. I loved it. Great characters, acting, and effects. And the child's voice, "Aw yeoo broken ?", put a lump in my throught.
The face off off and attack of the 'Templars' was aawsuum. "It's just a scratch.." Great dialog.
One of the best I've seen so far and on the budget I'd like to see a 3 million dollar job .👏👏👏👏👏
I had read comments about this after watching other shorts so I had to check it out, was not disappointed.
why has it taken me this long to see these it's 2019 now damn it awesome stuff
Excellent! Had me glued! And since I’m watching this a week before Christmas, the baby of light takes on special significance 🕊
When soldier opens cabinet... "Ash!.. they got Digorno 🍕 !"
Very impressive..especially for a short film on a low budget. Great direction, acting & spfx. Well done! 👌😋👽
I forgot I was watching a short clip and had just decided to pause for popcorn when it ended. Fantastic effort, well done.
I've had to pay to see worse films than this. Outstanding work.
I especially liked this. Bits were 'over acted' but in reality that's true too. The best was how 'Templars' , 'Danger Guy' and the rest almost felt like different products (directing styles) fused together into a story. Kinda cool.
not sure what was worse, the plot, the actors or the whole thing
What exactly did the lasers have against that guys leg. He literally had an entire body to shoot at yet he continuously gets hit in the leg, lmao! 😂😂
They were not lasers, that was his artificial knee shorting out.
I find the twist and change of expectation very nice and refreshing :) Thumbs up. needs Remake at Big Scale!
Excellent Bullets against beam weapons. Both are effective. Not long to wait!
It kept seeming like it was not going to be any good but kept being unexpectedly good. Must be the editing, and it hangs together well. Interesting, weird.
This is probably the funniest comment we've read so far! Glad we almost didn't not disappoint you. Great, thanks Martin!
Right! No? Yes!?! ...Whatever!!!
👍👍two thumbs up! Need more CGI stories like this. I lack imagination and entertainment.
I enjoyed this very much. You know what impressed me most? The laser hits. I kid you not. This may well be the first movie I have seen where there are no 'bolts of light' shooting at people but instead just the (oh so much more) realistic burning holes that appear. I applaud you for that brilliant innovation.
Bob Bobowiz I think they will have "tracer" technology for such weaponry, though path of destruction may make such unnecessary. But those flashes may well be visible in the future, to aid in directing 'fire'.
@@jamespaden6266 I believe augmented reality at least in the form of a heads-up display will eliminate the need for any Tracer rounds
much like smoke and flames coming out of guns; only happens in pitch blackness.
I agree completely! Loved the lazer hits.
I found the utter corniness also hysterical, but the SFX were good!
@@thewizzard3150 Have you EVER seen real gunfire? lol
For a $9k budget that was really well done.
They killed the damn dog, NOT OK. Other than that the film is FANTASTIC
well if it was damned and a dog, OK.
No dont look at it that way,, it was a hero dog protecting its family from vampire aliens, who took out at least 3 before outnumbered and gave time for them to get away, a great sacrifice and worthy of praise.
This was EXCELLENT !!! More ! We need more !
This story ... HAS to be told !
Wow! Very impressive! And I went back to the beginning as you posted a link to the sequel. Gonna watch that now. Keep up the great work!
well done ty too all who did this ty ty
Thanks Waz!
NOVR
Auntgranny enjoyed this film very much. Sort of like Vietnam only with aliens. Made it easier to watch. Have a GODBLESSED day. Love to you all👍🙏🖖🏼🖖🏼🖖🏼🖖🏼👩❤️💋👩👳
Very well done ! Seamless and engrossing!
Great effects, story, acting.
that was actually pretty cool to watch at 6am drunk and high
That's what I call great action. Way to go guys!!!
They sure like their cheesy special effects!
well done ! i could have watched another hour and a half of this .
Sweet sci fi short! cool effects and ideas
looked like an expert from a real game. well done
I love this film. Great special effects. It felt like I was watching something straight out of a Hollywood Blockbuster. Those aliens were scary. Kinda freaked me out. Awesome movie.
I really enjoyed that. Great work with such a limited budget. Thanks.
Great job guys! All the VFX reminded me of the style of Super 8! Loved the lens flares! Looking forward to seeing your next creation! All the best, and congrats from Argentina!
Thanks Argentina really appreciate it!
NOVR hey she was trying to tell you that she is from argentina not that her name its argentina hah.... but awsome short movie nice effects and pretty nice for using a canon 5d and a macbook pro, good work.
Argentina is a place?! Haha thanks Gore? If that is your real name!
haha, its actually a country in southamerica....
and the the track used in the last credits would sound great on a dance floor
Sort of too many lens flares.
KiiLU Too many solar flare affects in post production. Geez
I liked the flares, reminded me of a J.J. Abrams movie, also I've seen way worse usage of the flares effect in some of the other vids.
A distraction from the props, wardrobe and green screen mistakes.
Goodness! A story! And a very good one done well.
Projectile weapons won't bring down a pale bat-guy but an edged weapon will? I thought that only happened when I did it.
Very well done.
Very entertaining to watch, and isn’t that really the point of films like this?
Bravo !
Loved it!!! You guys proved you can make a great film, on a small budget. Loved the concept, characters, acting, everything...

Good fun, I enjoyed. Full of potential for full length film.
Could have been fun if the short film was called "The Lens Flare".
Finally one of these that is fairly good.
Excellent short , for the budget .
Well done. good story, good graphics, spec affects
Good concept. Some rotoscoping could have been used over pulling luma keys. Example: Last shot of ship taking off looking through grid/fence. Rotoscoping grid would've retained the thickness of the grid lines, hence, avoiding "lightwrap" effect revealing itself.
Ha you're dead on Todd. We taught ourselves from scratch how to do the effects just for this film and that's the sort of stuff we're looking to fix in the next one. Thanks dude!
Riveting! Great work. Feature length please.
Well, I LOOOVED IT !!!, and Definitely want to follow the storyline.. Verry engaging..!!!
Great! 👏👏👏. I’m Mr Short Attention Span and it held me all the way to the end! In fact I wanted more!
This would be a great full movie
THIS WAS AMAZING! I just started making films and watching this just showed me that my little films aren't shit. LMAO. Amazing!
I'm waiting for a 2nd. This was superb.
Now that’s what I call EPIC!!!! excellent work
Very good stuff on such a low budget!
I really enjoyed this film, thank you so much. I was thoroughly entertained. Great future Templar battles to come I hope... I've subscribed, can't wait to see more work.
My goodness. What a great job you guys!
That was absolutely beautiful and amazing all at once!!
Bravo to yall's!! 💚
Love the city shield.
For part of a movie this is good work. There is too much of the story missing for me to like it, but what is here is well put together.
Aah yes, repo man and pulpy breifcase mystery light! I like!
Woah! Too much action or an older gentleman like myself!
Well done.
Kept waiting for it to make sense.
Just came across this, look with a little bit of twinking with the actor's in this, I could be a really great TV program, without the Hollywood CGI, making it as real as possible,we use to look at TV so it could take us away from reality, and now we spent or time trying to create it through Media, this thing is just pure fantasy well done, brilliant
This is like "Children of Men" with an alien twist, I like it. They should call it "Children of Alien Men" maybe?
FANTASTIC! This rivals anything out of Hollywood. Please keep up the good work. THANK YOU.
look I'm no expert on Film, and I love watching these short scfi movie's on TH-cam and I've just watched this, I really think that with a little bit of tweaking this could be a good TV series, or a movie release,or an animated series
'You got any idea what's going on?' Me neither
Excellent story line!
Good concept bit heavy on the lighting effects.
I liked it, should of been longer, had so much potential & good looking aliens.
That was a good one. Well done to you all.
awesome job loved this would love to see more of this
Great movie!!!!! Love the Templar of the Future!!!!!
That's a Good One. Well done all.
this was actually pretty good.
Top Notch Stuff .
WOW that was real good !!!!
Hell yes, this was awesome.
Great short! Well done!
Its the Vorcha from Mass Effect.
Loved the plot ,the detail, everything 😘
dude left his dog outside...
ok automatic fire doesn't work (mostly) against the aliens but swords do?
Liked that initial contact at the cabin w/the troops and spaceship esp the shoulder fired/launched missile/shell!
Love this one.
Time and money well spent Thanks
Very good story, I want to know the rest of it!
Where'd you get all the beat-up xenomorph costumes to convert into your aliens?
