I am now at 18months locked, and what I will advise is just letting your locs do what they need to do, I wouldn't advise messing with the ends or anything too much, those ends will loc, it's just a matter of time! If you overly manipulate the loc (as in always retwist all the way along the loc), it could actually make the locs become a lot thinner. (Unless of course that is the goal!) In the beginning the best thing is to just keep your hair covered most of the time so you're not messing with it, and more importantly to keep it clean and lint free! They look gorgeous so far by the way! 😍😃

This is amazing advice. Advice that I am going to take! I do t want thin locs. I get so anxious to do something with them. Lol

Yes. I always get my hair washed when I got to the salon for a retwist.
