Finish look, beautiful ♥️
This itchy scalp is driving me crazy. Definitely washing my hair soon. Going to try the rosemary bc this peppermint ain’t working lol. Good tips
IT GETS BETTER! I’m going on 7-8 months now and i have no itching. My scalp is now used to not being overstimulated.
I do this too!
Omg me toooo!!! I’m literally on my way to target because I either find relief or I’m combing these out! Lol okay, I’m about to finish watching your video
Hope you haven’t combed them out I did another video on how to remedy that. I’m now 6 months in and have no itchy scalp!
Your page is one of those where I click "like" as soon as it opens. By the way I just left Cracker Barrel lol! As for that one loc, put some jewelry on it and make it look like you did that on purpose.
That’s a great idea!! And Thank you!!!
My hair is like a plant it needs water. If you're putting oil on your locs without water it's going to itch and flake because you are sealing in the dryness and dirt. Everyone's journey is different
Lol this has literally never happened to me. Much of the dirt people think they have on their scalp is because of the products they put in their hair. This video is older but my scalp has not flaked in 6 months. But I’ve also never had issues with itchy flaky scalp. But like I say in my videos, everyone have to listen to their own hair.
It’s true some people with locs don’t keep them clean but that didn’t stop me from locking my hair it depends on the person I shampoo my locs every 7 to 10 days
I totally agree! The only reason I don’t shampoo mine is because I just like when my stylist does it
✌🏾
Thank you for your support!
I ❤️ your videos and I really look forward to them every week, you speaking on this is totally necessary to hear now I’ve heard comments like this before but it just flew right over my head,so I kn why I decided to go on this journey but let me say caring for these locs … it’s required more attention than loose natural hair for me because of the same damn reasons you said ,I’m into the more healthier side of locs looking , I’m not aiming to look like lil Wayne or lord I’m even upset to mention the GOAT jay-z because it just look 🤢
I tell ppl that locs can sometimes be “low maintenance” if taken care of properly, but they are not “no maintenance “
This made me laugh! But it’s true!
✌️
Thank you for your support!
I have 76 and my hair dong look nothing like 75 loc lady. My hair is very thick 4B/C. I loooooove my texture. I want 50 locs because I want even thicker ones.
🥳🥳
Congrats🤎… 6mo , I can’t believe 😫 that went by fast and I can’t wait to see the next 6mo 🤩
Thanks!
Thank you for sharing your journey about starter locs. I'm four months into my loc journey after I get a retwist I wear a shower cap and I don't use water or oil for the first two weeks of every retwist. It works for me thanks for sharing 🙂
Congratulations on your 6 Months...your Locs are looking good💕💕💕💕
Thank you!!! 🥰
You’re my hair twin same type of hair same loc count lol. I originally had 174 but had combined the outer permitter so my edges wouldn’t thin more than what they already were and plus it’s the softer hair on my head
Heeeey twin!!! 😂 That’s a GREAT idea. I’m careful of my edges too I hope that as mine grow longer they don’t get too heavy around the perimeter.
Congratulations 🎊 on 350 subs!!!!
Thanks!! 🥰
❤❤❤❤❤
My starter coils will be 1 month old in a couple days. Really appreciate your videos! It’s so helpful to see what does and doesn’t work for you on your journey in real time 🙌🏾
Thanks Robert! That’s what I’m here for. Congrats on your journey!
That style is super cute.
Whew, thank you girl. One of my friends said I looked like I was in high school. 🤣
Here watching
I will be two months on November 23. Trusting the process. Can't wait to see what they look like at 6 months! thanks for the update.
YES!! Congrats on your journey and I hope you enjoy every minute of it!
I love your videos! Have you found that leaving your locs styled interferes with the locking process? I ask because my loctitian keeps mine styled because I have considerable heat damage, and I’m hoping that styles don’t slow me down
Thanks! Yes it does kind of slow it down but I’ve decided to do styles every other appt because I do like wearing styles but I don’t want my hair to take forever to fully loc.
Friend you did good 👏 you did what you had to do , until your next appointment but OMG i can’t wait to wash and retwist my own ✊🏾 I’m waiting until my locs get mature enough to do so
🤣🤣🤣🤣LISTEN. The struggle. But I think it would’ve been better in the kitchen sink!
Love the chipmunk’s voice over😂😂 keep doing them reads girl so I just got a fresh retwist yesterday, I decided to get 2strands .. my reason for it is , the exact same as the title of your video but I don’t like how it looks on My face 😢 so I’m just going to rock it out , I have always been a girl that doesn’t like that real fresh look Hairdo so 🤦🏾♀️ I already kn 🥴 I’m going to like my hair in a couple of weeks …. lord these before the 1year mark is a struggle for me it’s the shrinkage , fuzzies still but the itching has subsided ,thank goodness all while being all in thatYoung loc stage
OK TWO STRANDS!!! I agree about the before 1 year mark because Ive had my share of ups and downs but the style I have it in currently has made me start loving the journey for real. Im sure your locs look fine. I just saw a video on a guy who left his two strand style in too long and his locs joined together. I may have to try that and see what happens.
Awesome information...I be glad when my Locks r long enough to Style them... 🙄Yours looks beautiful😊
I think it depends on where you start with them ya know...I coouldve been getting mine styled in the beginning but I wanted to wait till they started budding some. But My hair was neck length when I began my journey but my locs were sooooo skinny so I didnt want to look like I had stiches on my head lol
👋🏼That we don't keep them clean👀
That part!!! I hate that.
1st thing: 4ME sadly to say we’re ULGY … 2nd thing: 4 Me ACCEPTANCE with one’s self , alongside inner BEAUTY I just love everything about your videos 🤎 but most importantly I love the Teaching moments on your own loc journey and who’s journey can be the same 👏🏾🤗 including myself
Awww thank you! Acceptance with yourself is a major KEY.
Congratulations on 300 subbies and 5 months locd!!! I’m 3 months locd today!!
I'm sure it depends on the person and their ability to retwist their hair themselves. I washed my hair at 6 weeks, it was too itchy to go another day I also rubber banned them in ponytails when I did it and retwisted after the wash. They never fully unraveled
That and it also depends on how you start your locs. Alot of people tell me two strand twist locs dont unravel at all. I began with coils. Personally, I couldve retwisted my locs but I am left handed and I doing re-twist in the same direction as my loctician lol.
👋🏼I'm a new subbie.Your personality is what caught my attention😊I just started my own Locks...myself it will be my 3rd Lock journey😊😊 I started w/2 strand twist👀
😂😂😂 Girl I be on here acting UP! Lol welcome to the gang! Congrats on your journey! Now did you say you started them yourself!!?? Wish I had the courage, go on now!
@@CharlotteReneeLocs yes😊
TY
Don’t oil your hair more than 3x and week, you could be clogging your pores, which will make your scalp itch! I’ve seen your loc videos and you stated you do not like watering your locs (which helps with moisture lol) BUT I want try to convince you! Your locs are beautiful my love!
Thank you! I’ll tell you, here lately I’ve only been putting oil in my hair when it tells me and IT TELLS ME.
Your crown is beautiful ❤️
Thank you 😊
This us exactly why I chose the interlocking..I can't conceive of not wetting my hair for weeks at a time. I believe this is why so many ppl have locs that smell horrible. Chile..I gotta wash me and my daughter's hair. Palm rolling looks sleek and cute on the retwist..but as soon as you expose them to any type of moisture..it's a wrap. We don't need all the products that build up and we only need pure coconut oil.
I will say that I’ve never had issues with smells. Now that I’m 6 months in I’ve discovered that ppl who put a lot of product on their locs and don’t wash it for weeks will get smells. I only use castor oil so no smells when I go for my follow up.
I wear my durag first then my bonnet. There both better for your hair. Gotta have the locs laid and slayed
😂😂😂😢😂Love your spirit and your mouth
Thanks 🤣🤣🤣
Cute, I'm 3 months in.
Congrats!!!
Sea Breeze for the itching! It will change. Your. LIFE! Put it on a cotton ball or face cloth and clean your scalp. You'll feel like a new person.
Hollup!!! I’m gonna have to try that. Never heard of it but I’ll check it out.
@@CharlotteReneeLocs I still do it occasionally juat because I like the fresh feel lol!
Thank you for sharing, it was very helpful. Well I still want to get locs but it’s making me think about the itchy scalp which I need to be prepared for. Number 2 I need to be prepared like you sis for people asking questions because they may not really understand and no
Yeah. You need braid locs. When you try to wash it you need to braid and band. Plus don't wet too often when you first start about 4 weeks. Be very gentle.
Lol, this video is a few months old. Everything is going really well now.
I'm so sorry this happened to you. I'm the total opposite. I'm 3 months locd my hair is coarse and very coily and I've been misting it with rose water since day 1. I think maybe it's more to do with your hair texture and maybe the tugging on it while wet. I hope your journey is going better since this video.
It is definitely going a lot better now!
I did the same thing when I showered when I first got locs I wanted them to hang so bad 😂 they will unravel because they aren’t fully locced 😮💨
😂😂😂 wanting them to hang soooo bad! Lol
Idk I wash mine once a week cus of eczema, neatness be damned🤷🏿♀️ I say accept the fluff because it's a part of the process ,wet your hair down, do a half retwist at home, and say screw the diamond parts cus they always disappear 5 years later anyway 🤣. Girl you gotta care less and you'll be happier in life 🤣🤣
Lol, this video is a few months old. Things have been a lot better since that time on my journey. My loctician is so gracious to me, she keeps my triangle parts in tact each time I got get my hair done. I don’t like the fluff, likely never will.
I enjoyed your video. I have a little over 500 micro locs. It will be 3 years loc'd in December. The small count makes my hair appear fuller.
Sometimes I wish id gotten micro locks so that it could be filler but I do see my pics starting to get thicker.
I have 69 locs…..we started around the same time. Can’t wait to follow your journey
My hair is on the thinner side, I don’t care how many I have, I just want my hair to be covered in the back and not have gaps and spaces
Me tooooo! If it’s one thing I hate it’s gaps.
They look beautiful!!!
Thank you for sharing. You have been so helpful. My hair looks similar to yours so I’m excited to see how it will come along.
Girrrrrlllll!!!!! Long story short, I have been thinking about getting locs and in the fence of doing them myself or going to get them done. So I have been doing 2 strand twist and keeping them in for 3 weeks, taking them down and re twisting while I’m letting my hair grow out some because I shaved my sides and back. Well this last time before I took them down I said to myself, “why don’t I wash them to see how they will turn out so when I decided to do this I will no what it looks like. Thank God I decided to just wash like 10 twist in the front and I pulled the other hair back so it would not get wet. All 10 twist looked just like yours, and not only that it was a tangled, mangled mess in the ends, and I knew it would be frizzy and loose, but not totally untwisted and the ends tangled. So I spent a half and hour trying to make sure I didn’t break my hair out. Lesson learned, I don’t think my hair can take a wash right away which disappoints me but I don’t want that.
