Of course you're taking a poorly researched and factually inaccurate rendition of events at face value. If you look the case up you'll quickly discover that isn't at all how things went down.
Fun fact: The origin behind the infamy of October Friday 13th was the arresting of knights of the order of the knights Templar. King Philip IV of France was in huge financial debt to the templars, and so he drummed up charges of heresy against the templars and had them exterminated by burning at the stake, so he didn’t have to pay up. The templars were burned in 1314. King Philip died shortly afterwards and his 3 sons succeeded each other as kings without a male heir, and so his line died out, and France started to be ruled by his younger borther’s dynasty, the house of Valois, a branch of the main Capetian dynasty. Some say that God punished king Philip for his crimes and lies against the holy knights of the templars, thus a day of infamy was born.

What David did to them three innocent children is evil and after so many years in prison. They're letting him out? Nope! The court and the justice system should've kept that maniac behind bars. If you've so much as done that to one child. There's no way David should ever be let out. Even his excuse to why he did it is enough to make me believe he should just be left in prison to rot.

Interestingly enough, the Costa Concordia disaster was three months shy of the Titanic's 100th anniversary; not to say that both disasters are similar aside from them being peacetime shipwrecks.
At least on Titanic, the captain was far more competent than the Concordia's.

They get a desk slip instead of jail time. However, if a law abiding citizen shoots a person in self defense, they go to jail.

Tell me about it! I was shocked to have heard how they no longer considered him a threat! Dude murdered 3 babies cause he couldn't deal with their crying and him being drunk had them go easy on him which is disgusting. Doesn't matter how tipsy you are unless you are pure evil, you can't harm kids let alone murder and mutilate them. I feel sick to my stomach knowing he is just out there living his life.

I literally watched a documentary on the rugby team from Chile a few days ago!! There's an episode on Mysteries Of The Museum: Andes, where the survivor told his story to the host of the show, Don Wildman, and how he and his friend were hiking and they saw a man across a river that sent them help. Don also recreates what the survivor went through (climbing mountains, distributing lifeboats), to show and explain what the two men had to experience
A movie called “Alive” staring Ethan Hawk is all about the incident.

I saw the anniversary special with the survivors. Only one has passed away since it happened.
I love hearing Mr. Nightmare talk about history stories that took a dark turn. It’s very satisfying to listen to his voice talking in a third person perspective.

This was an interesting overview of some truly disturbing events that happened on Friday the 13th throughout history. The plane crashes and cruise ship accident were shocking tragedies. The murders of those poor children were absolutely horrific. It makes you wonder if the superstitions around this date actually hold some truth, or if it's just coincidence that these events fell on Friday the 13th. In any case, a good video highlighting some frightening happenings on this infamously unlucky day.
The quality of this channel has always been fantastic. Almost every single video has stories I've never heard before and are genuinely creepy. I also love that you ramp up the videos during October.

One of my relatives was born June 6 1981. He told me that 6/6/06 was the worst day of his life (sorry, my comment is irrelevant to the #13 😅).
I was born on April 15th let's just say it's no better alot of tragedy throughout history on that day

The parents of those poor kids were a pair of irresponsible louts. It's beyond my comprehension (& I was the father of 3 kids) that they would let this criminal piece of garbage "babysit" their kids. And yet the authorities RELEASED him from jail!!! So the lives of the 3 children he murdered & mutilated didn't warrant a full life term? SICK.
It's not really the parents' fault. He was a friend of the father who he trusted because he and everyone else around them only saw as a good person who loved children.
It's got nothing to do with the parents.. all their friends and neighbours thought he was great with kids and he loved them. Or do you expect people to have prescience?
I don’t know if I’m the only one who thinks the picture of the mother and kids who were murdered by David is really unsettling. I feel like it’s a mix of the uncanny valley in the pictures (something about their smiles, face structures, and the black and white tone) and the fact they were murdered in such a horrific fashion. (Baby had her skull fractured, girl had her throat cut, and boy was strangled)
Shrouded Hand youtuber did a video on him, it's actually a lot more detailed with how he did the killing, his backstory as well.

The third story is so horryfiic and sad, because this dude spend a lot of time with these kids and from all accounts was good to them and cared about them and yet he ended up ending their lives in a drunken rage. It's just so...absolutely devastating I cannot imagine how confusing and scary it had to be to the kids in their last moments to see their secondady father figure/honorary uncle do this do them...and the parents too to come home and be informed by the police ALL of your kids are dead..

I'm very disturbed and disgusted with the story about the murders of the little children and dismemberment of them. And the cannibalism on that high mountain in Chile.
