If you keep the ground almond meal, you can use it later in smoothies along with ground chia and ground flax seed as a protein powder. Just lay it out on a cookie sheet and dry it out in the oven, then grind it in a spice grinder to refine it.

Will be making this from now on. No more store bought. I just bought some raw organic almonds and cheesecloth. Have to soak the almonds overnight. Thanks for using Dates as a sweetener because that’s what I wanted to use and wasn’t sure how to add. I initially thought about using maple syrup but decided on using dates instead. And will add some vanilla to give it that vanilla flavor. Can’t wait to make this milk.

Just started watching your channel a month ago. Love how helpful and down to earth you are. Love this recipe! I have been making nut milks for the past year and almond milk for the past few months. Haven't tried to make it vanilla style so will try out this recipe. I am actually able to play around with my quantities and make a slightly less creamy but higher quantity of milk by passing the the remaining almonds through the blender a second time. The remaining almonds can also be used in oatmeal, but you have to keep them in the fridge/frozen otherwise they go bad very fast.

Thank you for sharing that my husband has to drink almond milk and that would be a cool solution however you mentioned something about the not stem cells after being drained could be used for flour do you have any more information on that I know we used to make almond flour with just two almonds and blending them but it seems like that would be really cool to be able to use those and you get use out of the entire almond instead of throwing any of it away thank you for any help that you could give me on this I appreciate it you have a blessed day and keep up the good fight

If you don't want to buy mylk bags or cheesecloth, try using a clean t-shirt, preferably one you can cut up and reuse. It strains just as well as the bag or cloth

Congrats!! That is awesomeeee! In my opinion it tastes better because it has a fresher taste. My husband drunk the entire liter in one day lol. Some people may like store brought taste more because they add so many things to it. But this is all natural, delicious and nutritious 😊

There is no such thing as almond “milk”. Milk…is milk. Boycott all almonds!! Almonds take 300% more WATER to grow than any fruit or vegetable!! California is suffering from water shortage due partly because of the ALMOND INDUSTRY! Do your research. Google this important information. If you’re environmentally active, you should WAKE UP! Get WOKE! About almonds.
