your "hip-hop" community is your way of saying the record labels. they don't want black people looking good or tasteful. the record labels are all owned by right old racist white guys. look it up. your comment says you know jack shit about record labels. its the exact reason why joey bada$$ never florished. he never had a 500billion dollar corporation backing his message. look at what kind of bullshit taylor swift puts out. gets 500billion dollars in marketing. and bam now her music is somehow best of all. its just mind manipulation. and socioeconomic manipulation. do a lil wiki and you'll see im right.

I'd say it's 50% dislikes and 50% just negative people. People tho dislike just for the sake of disliking.
Maybe a few only listened to the first few lines of the first verse which admittedly isn't that great and tuned out while leaving a dislike, dunno.
Doesn't matter though. It's about 1% which is a great ratio.

Rap started out as party music, then evolved with cats like Rakim and Grandmaster Flash...coinciding with the politics that went on in the 80's such as the War on Drugs and the Cold War. There's a lane for every setting and every mood. To box in rap is counter-productive to what the genre can achieve artistically.

Considering how young these guys were here, the level of art in hip-hop and music in general in this track is insane.. Like Joey is 26 now, but has already released so much stuff that in my opinion makes him a top 3 of this generation alongside Kendrick and Cole. You messed up the most important part of that line lol
      Erase = a race
It's a double entendre, Joey uses these several times in this song, as well as rhyming words that sound the same:
"I take the competition out commission with my composition; who the kid spittin behind the bars like a con position?"
"Fuck what you teachin for some Regents, I'm flying over regions, reachin all-time highs where Jesus can't reach us"

This was my Joint ALLLLL 2012.
Loved how they brought that 90s Eastcoast boom bap, street stroytelling sound back at that time.
Esp. for the generation coming up who missed the 90s.
I was born in 1989, so I remember it esp as my Late-Brother was a teenager then.
I was 22-23 years old in 2012, bumpin these guys, teenagers but they were on point!
Early 2010s Real Hip Hop made a comeback fereel; Pro Era, Kendrick, J Cole, Big Krit
it was promising, then trap came.
Let's get back to this classic sound.

'Teaches should teach us to get smiffnwessuns off the streets' woah 5 years later and still finding lyrics to make me thinkday 1 fan till 2047
Can say without a shadow of a doubt that not just Joey or STEEZ, Fly or Nyck but all of Pro Era together, even the members who have moved on or passed away have given me lines that make me think heavy. Beast coast is a big reason and part of why I wanted to actually become more mature and look at the bigger picture. Looking forward to KC! though I don't think everyone will be ready even after 5 years, but the shift has happened and now kids who are 15-16 are starting to think of the bigger picture and world without having to have a mentor like before, even if the masses would have you think otherwise.
NY music raised me to become more of a man than my own father could of, I will forever be in debt to Hip Hop.
