ok. so, a few things... This version of the melody i am using was borrowed from Omegah Red's (formerly known as Poison Flowerz) produced beat, where HE used a sample from the original composer (the song is called Kaun Komsott and is performed by Ros Sereysothea) HOWEVER, THIS VERSION IS OMEGAH RED'S VERSION, so i give credit to whom i got it from. This is a fan made remix, made by me. It will only be found HERE. not spotify, apple, or anywhere else. Here is the Original Mix: th-cam.com/video/xRRen4nuVkg/w-d-xo.html (the original Books Of War mix) Here is the Original Sample Source: th-cam.com/video/8Hg6JObTZ-I/w-d-xo.htmlsi=HusJqrmB8laypQPA Here is the Original DOOM song th-cam.com/video/7asrACR-Fak/w-d-xo.html (It Ain't Nuttin' by The Herbaliser ft MF DOOM)

@@Gunn27 thanks. the mix is not admittedly of the best sound quality, considering i ripped the beat AND acapella from youtube, this is quite evident. yet no one has said anything about THAT... but people saying it is not lined up just make no sense to me.
Agreed. There was always something off about the original Books of Wars version that has 30M+ views and I just recently learned that it is a fan edit. Yours is lined *so much* better. It sounds great.

Am I the only person that feels legitimate comfort from this song? Whenever I’m in a bad mood or just kinda wanna cease to exist, this song slaps me with the beauty that is life. The fact that humans can make something this comforting is crazy to think about.
Yes, soul soothing and chill flowing. Relaxes my Goddess beast within, brings clarity. I just watched my father pass and this.....hits much harder for me rn so much love and respect. Blessings be upon you.
very true, i learned self defense, i was jumped at the age of 9, and i told myself, nah im going to know how to defend myself. so i took classes and later as an adult i learned how to use firearms in classes as well. its a scary world out there.
I agree. This is the kinda stuff that experts at their art can create. Many of our neighbors don't even know that art like this exists. Share! Blessings upon the living and resting souls represented here!

I’ve only known him for about a year and it still makes me sad to think i can’t thank him for what he’s done for Hip Hop and what he means to me. Same with MF DOOM.
I remember listening to this almost every day just trying to make it through 11th and 12th grade. Going to the military and changing my life now. The line "Okay everybody back to the lab try again" motivated me so hard. So much sadness and uncertianty in that time of my life but this song just grabbed it all in a ball and threw it in the air. Thank you MF DOOM and Dash for the mix. RIP MF DOOM, GURU, AND DMX.
I found out about him on Gorillaz Demon Days, there is a lot of celebrity deaths that are sad, but this one hurt, I grew up with him and he showed the first poetry that I could understand as true art
For us ''older folks'', we felt him from the beginning. Not for his masked face, but for his entire approach to lyricism. The beats, texts, voice were always leaving you thoughtful.
They are rapping about how its like to live as a poor person in America. They are rapping about how you have to use your mind to escape the violence of daily life. How some of their friends are gone and the danger they escaped, but their friends did not.

Let's be honest, MF DOOM is one of the best to ever do it. He can tell a story while remaining completely and utterly abstract. All the while, he stays culturally relevant. DOOM's a G and no on will ever change my mind.
Can’t believe Freddie Gibbs claimed he was a better rapper than DOOM….😂 he’s lucky he never got vaporized by the villain but i wish it would have happened I’m so sick of clowns claiming their titles and status. These titles are earned not just because someone made a few hits and someone said they were hot.
I have now found every song where the verses come from. They are, in order: The Herbaliser - It ain’t nuttin Ft. MF DOOM Gravediggaz - The night the earth cried Dj Honda - El presidente Ft. Jeru the Damaja Gang Starr - The Revolutionist Smif-N-Wessun - We came up (Crystal stair) Ft. Talib Kweli Dmx - Catz don’t know
I lost my dad back on 02/01/24 the fist time i herd this song i had it playing in the background while rolling a blunt and the only line i heard was the last one, i replayed it from the begining and it makes me cry every time i hear it
My dad died 1 month after my daughter was born. I feel your pain. But I truly believe our people are not only watching over us, but they are waiting for us
you gotta listen to every MF DOOM album then you gotta listen to all the remixes of the albums, THEN all the remixes of the remixes AND THEN all the mashups afters all that is done you move on to JJ DOOM, CZARFACE, VAUDEVILLIAN and so forth repeating the cycle, only then will you reach elightenment and become a true acolyte of the SUPER VILLIAN
Peace fam Doom purposely raps offbeat always has, to the critic I guess what your saying is you know who Vic Vaughn is right ? Must not have been listening for the last 20+ years
3:55 that line got me. "for every one that gets over, a hundred will die" scary when u really think about it... Like every person that makes it out of their bad situation, whether it's the hood, a war-torn country, anywhere. they escape it at the cost of hundreds of others like them who werent as lucky. there are people who grow up and realize every single one of their childhood friends is dead, except them. Its crazy. and he's implying that to be the one that survives, you have to kinda 'beat' everyone else who's in the same place as you. Its the whole "kill or be killed" mentality, where even if you dont want to be a murderer- if you dont shoot this guy first, he'll shoot you. But he's thinking the same thing abt you. Thats survival. Really hurts to think about. All those lives lost, that slipped thru the cracks as another casualty, another statistic.
Yeah, he's also referencing to how people usually have to hustle others in order to come up and out of where they were due to the way so much runs on Capitalism and exploitation ("resort to feinding") whether it's selling drugs or just the way society is still built on an exploitative economy rooted in slavery (legalized with minimum wages or in the US, prison labor per the 13th Amendment of the US Constitution which permits slavery for those convicted of crimes). I'm grateful that Guru's lines included a hopeful tone throughout, plus encouraging guidance for what a path forward can look like still.
Everytime I hear DOOM it makes my heart sad knowing that the legend has ended and the songs I love are all I'm ever going to hear from him. RIP to the truest bluest supervillain, there will never be another.
Your heart should be happy for all the gifts Doom gave us and learn to celebrate and pass on the love of this art. He's all around us you just have to listen.
@@omatix this version is so much better than the other one with millions of views, felt like I was crazy being the only person thinking that one was out of time while everyone was raving about it
@@timj6121i agree, the verses come in almost a minute into the song and its hasty but this one does each of these legends much justice! This is a timeless classic.
I've discovered MF Doom as of 1 week ago. I only just learned he died. The same happened with Mac Miller. The world is a tragic play, and we are the main characters.
This song is so comforting. The chill vibe, talk about poverty and slavery but hopeful. Blazing it and listening to this is like a little piece of heaven
I listened to this version first, then listened to the off beat versions on TH-cam and it threw me off. This is literally the smoothest and best version of this remix. Love it. Had to comment because every other version legitimately confused me lol
I've found my people lol, been saying the other version is all whacked out for years but nobody else hears it! And it's got like 30m views lol. It's so clearly out of beat, love that this versions finally been made
I love all these dudes, but i think my favorite is Jeru's verse, his style is so sick. He's on this dope track with gang starr "from a distance". You get Guru & Jeru over a Preem beat, what more could you want.
Uma das melhores musicas já feita na historia, já faz quase 2 anos que venho aq todo dia escutar essa obra de arte. MF DOOM, RZA, Guru, Talib Kweli e DMX, rappers que marcaram minha vida. Discovered DOOM in 2010 when I was a freshman in college. Blew my mind. Can't believe how slept on he is. Never was or ever will be a rapper quite like DOOM.
This made a classic song even better in fact I'm probably going to save this to my playlist and listen to it like it's the original version rest in peace MF Doom
This era of rap is on the endangered hit list. Love that I grew up listening to it! Newly rediscovering Doom like an old bike. Rides even better later in life. Respect to my day 1’s. Respect to this era of hip hop. I’m never gonna stop blasting this music through my ears. This is the truth
i have been listening to this every day for a week straight now on repeat. as i walk to work and as i walk home from work. you did good on this edit and it should be published publicly to mf dooms pages i would say
Such a solid fucking song. Every part, every person on the song is so good. Usually one or two stand out and there’s always a verse where someone is just a little less fire. Not on this one. Every single second of the song is worth really listening to.
The man that made this has less than 5k subs with a video that has over 2 mil views, what the actual fuck, this man single handedly resurrected one of the greatest doom/Rza songs of all time, the original was always so hard to find and always had verses missing, what a complete legend, sub to this man, yes you random listener, SUB!
@@GaminGusTav re-uploaded it? from where?!? this particular version with the extra verses is MY CREATION, to be clear. the original only has DOOM & RZA on it. understand that.

Do you know from wich songs these are?
Miss Guru voice, RIP
Am I the only person that feels legitimate comfort from this song? Whenever I’m in a bad mood or just kinda wanna cease to exist, this song slaps me with the beauty that is life. The fact that humans can make something this comforting is crazy to think about.
thank you so much for the kind words! i'm glad you find comfort in something that i made.
Nah, I got this on just about every morning when I'm in the shop.

definitely not the only person - I found this track 6 months ago and still my go to tune. Beautiful - thanks ArtOfficial!
Yes, soul soothing and chill flowing. Relaxes my Goddess beast within, brings clarity. I just watched my father pass and this.....hits much harder for me rn so much love and respect. Blessings be upon you.

True Indeed🙏🏽
Absolutely, guru is one of the goats
💚🙏💚 stay strong, we all believe in you
very true, i learned self defense, i was jumped at the age of 9, and i told myself, nah im going to know how to defend myself. so i took classes and later as an adult i learned how to use firearms in classes as well. its a scary world out there.

I’m impressed, this mix does them all justice. That’s difficult to do.

I agree. This is the kinda stuff that experts at their art can create. Many of our neighbors don't even know that art like this exists. Share! Blessings upon the living and resting souls represented here!
This comment is how I found out he's gone. Man...
Shit's still fire even though its not an official collab. RIP MF DOOM, DMX and Guru.

I came to the shores of America disguised as a peddler
The alpha and omega and the home of the beggars, the black settlers
Who been beaten, raped, lynched, robbed and stoned
And called to roam the earth in service cause they couldn't maintain at home
This dates back to 1555
When they captured the first tribe of men and piled them in a pen
Fifty feet high
And took em all on a 9000 mile ride
And landed on the shore of a place they never seen before
But read about this inside the ancient books of war
Bonded in stainless steel, stripped of their language
Still survived the anguish of slavery but still remained nameless
Separated to portions and tricked by John Haughty Hawkins
And sold on the auction, taught birth control and abortion
Rulers of the first part became slaves of the worst part
The devils cursed God and reversed God
And turned God into dog and made people search hard
No relief came til' the prophet of W.D. Fard
To a trauma, dropped our mommas off in Bahamas
And Barbados, Tobago's, separated us from slave boats
Made our own brothers hate us from Virgin Isle to Jamaica
Trinidad, Honduras, Haiti, Grenada

That a hustle will help 'em get by

Will I succumb, will my heart grow numb ?
Or will I save the world ? By using my mind like a gun
Seems a better weapon, 'cause everybody got heat
I know I carry mine, since the last time I got beat

Let's be honest,
MF DOOM is one of the best to ever do it.

These titles are earned not just because someone made a few hits and someone said they were hot.

you gotta listen to every MF DOOM album then you gotta listen to all the remixes of the albums, THEN all the remixes of the remixes AND THEN all the mashups afters all that is done you move on to JJ DOOM, CZARFACE, VAUDEVILLIAN and so forth repeating the cycle, only then will you reach elightenment and become a true acolyte of the SUPER VILLIAN

All those lives lost, that slipped thru the cracks as another casualty, another statistic.
damn. great ears man
there’s a saying on a poker table.
if you sit down and don’t notice the clown.
then you are it
Yeah, he's also referencing to how people usually have to hustle others in order to come up and out of where they were due to the way so much runs on Capitalism and exploitation ("resort to feinding") whether it's selling drugs or just the way society is still built on an exploitative economy rooted in slavery (legalized with minimum wages or in the US, prison labor per the 13th Amendment of the US Constitution which permits slavery for those convicted of crimes).
I'm grateful that Guru's lines included a hopeful tone throughout, plus encouraging guidance for what a path forward can look like still.
This is such a beautiful homage to so many of our greatest fallen artists. Rest in peace all of you
3 of these GOATS aren’t with us anymore..
Biggest blessings to the ascended mcs. With gifts of words. Sounds we heard. We give thanks for the time..
Ascended MCs has a great ring to it
3:34 Honestly the most powerful rap verse I've heard in a while.
For everyone that gets over, another hundred will die.
verse by Guru. Listen to Gang Starr if you want more of him.
Form which song that verse came?
listen to the song moment of truth if you want to hear some powerful fucking verses
@@HMiD0v the revolutionist by gang starr, its guru's third verse
Everytime I hear DOOM it makes my heart sad knowing that the legend has ended and the songs I love are all I'm ever going to hear from him.
RIP to the truest bluest supervillain, there will never be another.
and Guru.
Your heart should be happy for all the gifts Doom gave us and learn to celebrate and pass on the love of this art. He's all around us you just have to listen.
@@ryansmith7974 you can look at it both ways and both can be appreciated in diferent ways
MF Doom was/is the culmination of the best of 1990's rap and hip hop.. sprinkles of all the best and making it his own..
Yo who ever put this mix together did a tremendous job 🔥
why, thank you!
@@omatix just curious but do u know what song the talib kweli verse originally came from? Dope mix btw
thanks. th-cam.com/video/Q_rHITqvUvU/w-d-xo.html
Guru goat verse
This is mad nice. Dope.
The only one that missing is Afu-Ra!

So good. Listened to the other version for years before finding this one. At long last. DMX verse is nuts.
I've discovered MF Doom as of 1 week ago. I only just learned he died. The same happened with Mac Miller. The world is a tragic play, and we are the main characters.
True brother
that is so doep
relax bruv
Gone never forgotten R.I.P to legends on this track and R.I.P to my father who just passed this song gives so much peace, comfort and fight.
R.I.P to your dad. Hope you are doing ok. Your memories are his legacy.
Bro you mastered that Nujabe/east coast vibe big ups
Happy Chinese New Year it’s the year of the dragon 🐉
One of the best songs that I've discovered lately. Beautiful...
Yeah same, trying to force myself to not play it on repeat but, yeah, not going well :/

Damn. These verses blend together extremely well.
I appreciate that!
if it’s a remix
you can’t even tell.
they all sound like they on the same track
I've found my people lol, been saying the other version is all whacked out for years but nobody else hears it! And it's got like 30m views lol. It's so clearly out of beat, love that this versions finally been made
Respect from India..Miss u Mad Villain! Thanks for this version brother
I love all these dudes, but i think my favorite is Jeru's verse, his style is so sick. He's on this dope track with gang starr "from a distance". You get Guru & Jeru over a Preem beat, what more could you want.
This is one of the highest quality songs I’ve ever heard. I routinely come back to it thank you for creating this
Damn! Never got chills from 🔥 before
comment of the year! #salute
You have a way with Words my friend. DOOM would be proud
@@omatix I love you pfp homie ⚔️
R.I.P MF DOOM R.I.P DMX R.I.P GURU Legends
This beat takes me back to sitting on the stoop smoking J's with the crew back in Denver, swapping freestyles and getting in on beat boxing, good times forever, rest in peace crew. Thank you for soundtrackin memories
MF DOOM is the first famous person that I actually cried over when they passed. JUST REMEMBER ALL CAPS WHEN YOU SPELL THE MAN NAME !!
Discovered DOOM in 2010 when I was a freshman in college. Blew my mind. Can't believe how slept on he is. Never was or ever will be a rapper quite like DOOM.
Rza starts with smooth delivery shows his growth but all around fire
Recycled verse from Gravediggaz track.
@@mb748 - The Night the Earth Cried…..I actually liked that verse over the Gravediggaz beat….it sounded out of place here for some reason
@@mb748 actually flows better on this beat though IMO
@@mb748 this is a fan made song
This made a classic song even better in fact I'm probably going to save this to my playlist and listen to it like it's the original version rest in peace MF Doom
This era of rap is on the endangered hit list. Love that I grew up listening to it! Newly rediscovering Doom like an old bike. Rides even better later in life. Respect to my day 1’s. Respect to this era of hip hop. I’m never gonna stop blasting this music through my ears. This is the truth
Rest in Power MF DOOM, Guru, DMX. Absolute kings. This is so fire
i have been listening to this every day for a week straight now on repeat. as i walk to work and as i walk home from work. you did good on this edit and it should be published publicly to mf dooms pages i would say
RZA, Guru and Talib Kweli had the realist verses here. Deep, poignant, intelligent and wise.
These tracks picked me up through some real dark days. Never forget the influences of these mic controllers 👆🏻💯👆🏻✋🏻✋🏻✋🏻
This composure is freaking beautiful. Sounds original, perfect rappers, and wish I heard this earlier in my life. Good shit 👏
Such a solid fucking song. Every part, every person on the song is so good. Usually one or two stand out and there’s always a verse where someone is just a little less fire. Not on this one. Every single second of the song is worth really listening to.
This song makes me feel like everything ain’t so bad after all.
DMX is riding on this sick beat! Wish we could've heard my flows like this from him! Masterpiece! 💯 🔥
im sure he left us the problem is just finding
Listening back to this song is something else…the riff actually gives me chills
The man that made this has less than 5k subs with a video that has over 2 mil views, what the actual fuck, this man single handedly resurrected one of the greatest doom/Rza songs of all time, the original was always so hard to find and always had verses missing, what a complete legend, sub to this man, yes you random listener, SUB!
much appreciated, thanks!
OK. Done.
You sold me. Done.
I subbed because of this comment.
(and also because this mix was great)
Ok you made me sub
Woooowww amazing remix, everything blends together seamlessly. Fire yo. Bless up.
thank you 👍🏼
@@omatix eventhough you just reuploaded it, wack
@@GaminGusTav re-uploaded it? from where?!? this particular version with the extra verses is MY CREATION, to be clear. the original only has DOOM & RZA on it. understand that.
@@omatix wow, but you just put extra verses, you did not create the original mix.
@@GaminGusTav the 'original mix' was not mixed well, which is why i 'remixed' it and made it better. saying i just added verses to the original like it was that simple shows you have no idea what you're talking about.
Rest in peace Guru, DMX, MF DOOM and Ros SereySothea. This is an unofficial track, but it’s beautiful. Great work, salute to all the legends, DOA.
I would have never questioned if this was original if it weren't for me reading the comments. I just let my soul vibe out
S tier mix, I've been vibing to this for a few days
