The latest updated list of robot vacuums we recommend: www.consumeran...
In this video we review the iRobot Roomba s9 and s9+. The s9+ comes with a self-empty dust bin and a Clean Base (self empty station) while the s9 does not. Otherwise, the two robots are identical and so our review applies to both vacuums.
In the review we analyze the s9's carpet (general and deep cleaning), hard floor, edge, and hair (human and pet) pickup performance. We also discuss the robot's raw performance (CFM and suction), navigation and coverage, battery life, bin size, and noise output.
All in all, the s9 is a great vacuum but not a very good robot. And so we generally do not recommend it.

Why doesn’t it clean near the base? Thanks for the great review!

Having lidar, camera, and floor tracking robots. By far lidar has the best navigation and hands off ability, but the dual brush of the Roomba's do much better on sand and deep embedded pet hair. There is the Ecovacs Deebot T9 avi which has both, but it's unfortunately not available in the US.

Would you take a review request? I think many of us use Reverse Osmosis systems and sure would like an honest review on under the various top of the line under the counter systems. Thanks in advance

For the clutterd room test., there is a careful drive mode. Not sure if you had it on.

I unfortunately tested the S9 before this mode was released.

This robot can not be used in a real home. It get stuck everywhere, if the wheels gets stuck in a cord or cloth, the wheels break. you need to change the parts in it once every 2 month, it can brake your carpets, it is not autonomous, you need to watch it as if it was a little baby, if it gets stuck it can make your chair fall, because it will forceful, move them. This model is a real hazzle.

Overpriced and outdated. There are far better options out there for the money.
