    I just got mines about 2 weeks ago. I caught it on sell at Amazon for only $799 on a Black Friday. I love it! I’ve just upgraded from a IRobot 694 to the S9+. A major big difference.

    One of the best overview videos I’ve see on this model. Great job. Great video. Great use of split screen.

      @@DigitalDavid This exact model. I don’t need the combo mop and vacuum features. I’ve looked at Roborock’s offerings, but I’ve used iRobot’s stuff since generation 1. Thing is, I have a large multi-story house, with one area that drops down over the garage. I’d need four of them. Big investment. I have a few older generation ones, but don’t have the auto-empty bin or the ability to define specific rooms or no-go areas. I have the generation just before that feature released.
      I also have the “budget” wool area rugs that are a shedding nightmare when hit by the robot. I have to empty multiple times during a cleaning session. Eventually the shedding will minimize, but I gotta get the self empty feature to make it manageable.

      I think this would be a great choice for sure. Def one my favorites

    Awesome vacuum. I bought 3 for all my family as Best Buy had them open box for $207 which feels like a steal.

    Another reviewer mentioned debris sticking to the rollers and scratching hardwood or laminate floors. Has this been an issue?

    Can this iRobot Roomba be controlled from a remote location rather than the same location with the WiFi. We have a warehouse with wiFi far from house. Can the Roomba be controlled via a cloud?

    Hi nice video!!! What am I saying?? It’s an excellent and perfect video.
    Question:
    Doesn’t the vacuum damage the baseboards and furniture when it works??

    • @DigitalDavid
      @DigitalDavid  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nope! No damage!!

    I just got my vacuum, thanks to Prime Day! I ran it today for the first time, and while it did map my home, I don’t have the three options at the bottom of the screen, where I can add dividers, label, keep out zone, etc… does that take some time to appear? Do I need to run the vacuum again for that to show up?

    • @DigitalDavid
      @DigitalDavid  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm not really sure what could be going on :( Did you ever figure it out?

    • @Jess_Bishop
      @Jess_Bishop 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@DigitalDavid yes! The mapping process might take more than just one session to be completed. 30 minutes after I ran it for the second time, it became available!

    So…in your 500 ft2 floor cleaning, what power were you using and did it have to re-charge before it completed the room? Also, how long does it sit on the base when recharging?
    Seems impractical if you have to wait three hours to charge it every 45 mins. That would take forever to vacuum say a 1500 ft2 floor plan.🤔🤷🏻‍♂️

    • @DigitalDavid
      @DigitalDavid  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No recharging needed! You should be fine for 1500 sq ft!!!

    Can this be used without the bags?

    • @DigitalDavid
      @DigitalDavid  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The self empty won't activate without the bags unless you jerry rig something with an old bag to keep the lever depressed!

    You show 6 room labels but then state that you can have up to 4 rooms set up. I'm confused.

    This robot is not worth it's price. There is a design flaw in the bumper. iRobot is using four cheap hall sensors and magnets to detect when the robot bumps into an obstacle instead of reliable mechanical switches. Due to this imprecise way to detect collisions sooner or later the robot will complain that the bumper is dirty (it's never the case) and ask to tap on the bumper to clean it. The infamous error 9 won't go away, and the robot will then complain almost forever that the bumper is dirty. Got two S9, both are dead for the same dumb reason.

    • @DigitalDavid
      @DigitalDavid  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the insights! This is super helpful. Ironically this is my favorite robo vac if budget is not an issue. How long did you use both S9s before the issue? Also anything else noteworthy about your home/cleaning environment like smoker, tons of pets/kids etc?

    Although this thing does a good job vacuuming, it can’t even dock itself without a push 9/10 times. Pass on it!

    Worst irobot i am now on s9+ #3 not even 7months and bumper stuck error 9 has been nothing but issues with the s9+
    I have a 960 since jun 2020 and that has been a champ only thing was a baggery replacement which is understandable but this s9+ are just not worth it
