Chubb Rock set it off!!!🔥🔥🔥
Did He!!!
This song hits different when you grew up in and lived in Brooklyn and came of age in this time. This IS Brooklyn right here. The new Gentrified bs can never take this era away from us.
True Indeed..
Second that . . . True indeed.
Ah, the sounds of my youth. Just a little midwest kid obsessed with East-Coast boom bap. This was on my playlist for a long ass time.
Also, I gotta say that even with such a massive library of incredible beats, this is def one of Primo's finest. His addition of those finger cymbals just makes it perfect.
Jack M 🎯🎯🎯🎯 I agree it brings tears to my eyes. I listened to this in my Walkman every morning walking to Cleveland Heights (Midwest) high school all 11th grade year. I listened to it so much and so loud that the kids in my first period class would continue the lyrics after I turned it off and removed my headphones when I reached my desk 😂.
@@theonlyseparation464 in the 90s some Cleveland Hts kids had mad flow on the low
I Was Born And Raised In The South Bronx New York City 🏙️. I Was Born In 1978. I Grew Up On This Gangsta Rap Music In The 1980s And 1990s. I Lived In All 5 Boroughs In New York City Growing Up. Iam A Huge Crooklyn Dodgers Fan Forever. The 1980s And 1990s Was The Good Old Days In New York City.
This beat is absolutely sick🔥🔥🔥
I know I love this beat have ever since I first heard it years ago

Brooklyn is watching and listening
New York always had the Best Anthems
For real...
Wtf happened? NY was so cold and now they have art house rappers and niggas jocking trends. Sad
Disagree, Naughty by Nature are the king of Anthems and their Jersey. NY can get the second spot...
@@antoinelevine2143 Yeah I agree definitely I loved Queen latifahs can't forget New Jersey a lil bit more Tho''
Antoine Levine Jersey got made dope cats that spit.
I cant believe this is 24 years ago

Man...Memories of rolling in my IROC-Z through Newark blasting this single in the cassette deck with the t-tops off!
the love that i have for Crooklyn Dodgers is unmatched ... Return of the crooklyn dodgers is just the staple of what real hip-hop is
Clockers is one of my fav Spike Lee joints by the way
This is one of the hardest beats EVER!!!! Preemo Top 3 beats!
Word
totally climatic and chilling. Evokes New York atmosphere of 90s so well.
Man Jeru's verse is unmatched, one of the best of all time.
The good ol days of hip hop, MID 90’s👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
When New York ran hip hop
Gunnel Gainey talk about it bro.
@@modalsoul6511 idk what happened smh now they in the south wave with shit smh miss this feel good era a d how New York was shown dedicated it mad you whi wasnt from New York go to new York even when I watch the old New York movies like home alone clockers new jack city juice strapped paid in full it give you that New York feeling smh the 90s rip
"Crooklyn Dodgers" should be the name of a group that gets passed down to a chosen duo or trio of rappers from Brooklyn every few years.
Real mfkn talk
New crooklyn Dodgers is beastcoast
Sucks that would never happen now. Rappers fronBrooklyn kill eachother now over meaningless fuckery.
It kind of was, seeing as how there were three different iterations of it, a super group brought together for one track, then a few years later, same thing but with different rappers
This has got to be one of the most mesmerizing beats in hip hop history.
That trumpet, the piano and that chime going off three times........ repeatedly.
This joint will never get old!!!! Period.
This is hip hop in its purest form❤ Preemo classic. I just love this for real
Totally makes me realize how a powerful message- delivered with precise timing, emotion, and magic- can truly deliver an eternal message. This song will not go away cause it's universal. The message still stands today just few actually spread positive messages that alert people.
@@johnwilliams221 Yeah you hit it in the dot. Seems like most people nowadays just rap about poisonous stuff like degrading women, selling drugs, being "tough," or even past crimes. This one had a message trying to get people to wake up and do something.
Primo on the track chubbster oc & jeru = dope hip hop period!!!!
Back New York was new york
Everyone in top form.
PURE HIP HOP💯💯💯💯
I have no words to describe what a masterpiece this track is... so I will just listen and imagine it was 1995 again...
That’s what I do
I miss the days when lyrics mattered.
Cuase New York had it
Me too!
Real shit.
So do I! Especially the ones that taught you the lessons that you needed to survive. They don't do it like that anymore. It's all gone straight to trash. They took the futuristic mindstate of things and ruined it. Horribly! Nothing makes sense! It's all useless and worthless garbage.
@@cen1276 New York had hip hop then it went to master p and them it wasnt never the same
Best Hiphop song ever. Pure poetry and that loop is... deep
unreal song. Growing up in NY makes me proud to even listen to this. NYC for LIFE!!!

This was excellent, my very first time listening to this great rap song, here I'm 43 years old, shucks, I was sleeping under a rock in 95, missed out on a lot of great stuff back then.
Damn bro
Preemo makes you move whether you want to or not.
This song is in my top dopest tracks of all time
FINALLY. A true HQ upload of this classic 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Pure Magic..The Best You Will Ever Hear ✊🏽
I love growing up in Nyc when this song came out I was 14 now I’m 44 thank you 👋 hip hop and to the hip hop legends💯💯💯💯💯
Real hip hop if you are listening, please come back!!!!!🙏🙏🙏
Some of the best MCs on this track. Jeru just killed it towards the end....
Not only one of the greatest Rap songs of all time but one of the best songs from the 90's period.
Every verse means so much. Even 30 years later. It’s all TRUTH.
Hip hop back in the 90s was definitely the golden age of the genre.. the producers really had creative talent and the lyrics had some raw experience and heart put into them. Chubb Rock's and Jeru's verses are just crazy good, an almost any beat by Premo is iconic.
