  • Australia authorities are in a constant fight to top the spread of methamphetamines. Senator Jacqui Lambie makes public her struggle to save her son, Dylan, from addiction. The Middle Eastern Organised Crime Squad raid four drug houses to try to break a crime syndicate. And we hear how the use of ice is rampant in the hospitality and construction industries, as well as the military. For users trapped in the cycle of addiction and crime, Drug Court offers a rehabilitation program that gives non-violent offenders one last chance to stay out of jail and get clean. And Dylan finally turns the corner.
This provocative series takes us to the frontline of Australia’s drug war on the drug known as Ice. Through unprecedented access, we follow the stories of Meth lab busts, front line importation arrests at the docks with Task Force Polaris, decontamination of suburbs by the cleanup crews, forensic teams tracing precursors and toxicologists investigating human impact from passive Meth cooking.

As a former Customs Officer of 12 years and involved in drug enforcement this is truely the best documentary i have seen on making a difference in the world of anti narcotics. All Governments need to spend more on prevention as opposed to the cure . Well done to all those who are identifying the problems and working on solutions ❤

I think you got a perfect balance going on here. Arrest the top dogs and help rehabilitate those who are suffering from this terrible drug. Well done Australia.

Personal drug abuse should not be treated as a criminal but more as a medical problem 🖖

Ya, it's actually very humiliating. I mean drug dealers are just self employed, personal supply pharmacists with families to feed. The law should be mere guidelines and not strictly enforced.

But it is criminal ! Using something illegal is a crime, not my problem, I don't break laws. 😁

@@brianmclean6293 til someone you love gets fucked up by drug abuse and instead of getting help is sent to jail. collateral damage is inevitable if you try to „cure“ medical issues by criminalizing a behavior only damaging the patient 🖖

I'm in drug court in the US. Fentanyl/heroin/coke.. This shit sucks. I had 70 days sober, lapsed last week, a false positive pushed me over the edge then My doctor yanked my adhd prescription cause of that positive test. Now I have 0 dopamine and have had the worst cravings thus far. 9 days clean. Keep your head up boys.

Well done, Australia, for having a compassionate judge who gives some meth addicts one last chance to improve themselves, and for going after the ice kingpins. This four-part series is well worth seeing.

It just goes 2 show that investing in our youth, wherever it is, pays off. Rather than cuts and closing places where kids can go and feel safe the opposite needs 2 be done. They are the future 4 God's sake. There are some really inspiring people in this video.

Good luck Australia, we hear in America love you and hope you can find a way forward to restore hope and trust in your community's. Drugs are a response to a feeling of pain and emptiness that comes from traumatized experiences in life. It's so, so , so not pretty once the fentynal starts coming into the country.

The solution is simple. If you compare the “softly softly” approach vs a more hardline approach taken somewhere like Singapore, which one actually works? The solution exists if people have the stomach to implement it.

Right now as I watch this homeless tweekers have taken up residence in my apartment parking lot. They go through thier cars of garbage for like literally 10 hours with flash lights. Sorting out the same trash day in day out!!! It's sad and triggering but what do you do. I saw them scoping out stuff to steal today on the middle of the day! It's a disaster

Drug Addiction is a mofo. Stay away from that BS. Over 30 years clean here & it still pains me to see people fall into this. I was a huge fan of cocaine, did meth once in Atlanta in 91-92. I didn't like it. Going to prison saved my life as making the necessary changes wasn't going to happen while I was free. Good luck & God bless. Make a meeting.

Australia would help more addicts, and save more lives, and save money as a bonus,
..by legalizing drugs, all of them.
    Or,
should police risk their lives to stop the use by adults of plants, refined plants, and chemicals?
Adults have the Right to put into their bodies what they like.
Even the most foolish or destructive foods and drugs.
