Wonder if this could be done with the head still installed on the block since there'll be a possibility of metal shavings. I guess probably stuffing something at the bottom of the cup to block the shavings?
I have a dt 466 with jasper rebuilt engine with about 80,000 miles. Hard to start if sits for a few days but if I turn key on and wait about 30 seconds till belling starts then it will start. But still runs weak at first then as it warms up runs fine. Any ideas
How do you know if they are bad in a dt466e? I have 1 that puts coolant on the oil after sitting

It can be done in the vehicle. I've done T444E or the 7.3L Powerstroke in the trucks using these same exact tools.
How are you install the new ones?
We drive them in using an old injector.
