When engine is turned off does fuel stays in rail and fuel lines between pumps

    • @-CarCraft-
      @-CarCraft-  9 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

Great question! Yes, when the engine is turned off, fuel typically stays in the fuel rail and the lines between the pumps. This is due to the fuel system being designed to maintain pressure for quick engine starts and consistent performance. The fuel pressure regulator or a check valve in the pump helps prevent the fuel from flowing back into the tank. However, if there's an issue like a leaking injector or a faulty check valve, the pressure might drop, which could cause starting problems. Thanks for watching and feel free to ask if you have more questions!

Awesome information, my question is isn*t there supposed to be at least 2 filters , one to catch the water from damaging the fuel injectors and fuel lines, now how about the filter to make sure that the games from the diesel engine
Is more cleaner and not like before where you could see heavy black smoke from the spent gasees.

    • @-CarCraft-
      @-CarCraft-  ปีที่แล้ว +2

Thank you for your positive feedback! I appreciate your engagement with the content. You've raised a great point about the importance of filters in the fuel circuit, especially in diesel engines, to ensure optimal performance and reduce environmental impact.
In modern diesel engines, there are indeed typically multiple filters in place to address different aspects of fuel quality. The primary filter is designed to catch impurities and water from the fuel, preventing them from reaching and potentially damaging the fuel injectors and fuel lines. This is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and longevity of the engine.
Additionally, to address the issue of visible black smoke from the exhaust, there are often secondary filters or devices in place to control emissions. Diesel particulate filters (DPFs) are commonly used to trap and remove soot particles from the exhaust gases, resulting in cleaner emissions. These filters play a key role in meeting environmental standards and regulations by reducing the visible smoke and harmful pollutants released into the air.
So, in a well-designed fuel circuit, the combination of fuel filters and emission control devices helps ensure that the diesel engine operates more efficiently and with reduced environmental impact. If you have any more questions or if there's a specific aspect you'd like more information on, feel free to let me know!

Thank you for your video. The question I am trying to answer is the effects of uncontrolled Soot in engine oil on the fuel systems?

    • @-CarCraft-
      @-CarCraft-  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Thank you for watching our video and for your question! The effects of uncontrolled soot in engine oil on fuel systems can indeed have significant implications for engine performance and longevity. Soot buildup can lead to increased wear and tear on fuel system components, potentially causing issues such as clogged fuel filters, injector malfunction, reduced fuel efficiency, and even engine damage over time.
When soot particles accumulate in engine oil, they can contaminate the fuel system when the oil is circulated. This can lead to poor fuel combustion, which affects engine power and efficiency. Additionally, excessive soot buildup can hinder proper lubrication within the engine, further exacerbating wear on components.
Regular maintenance, including timely oil changes and using quality fuel, can help mitigate the effects of soot buildup in engine oil. Additionally, employing fuel additives designed to clean and protect fuel systems can aid in preventing and reducing soot-related issues.

    • @elster7290
      @elster7290 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

Thank you so much for clarifying this for me. I have tried multiple searches online, and there's been nothing specific that's helped me confirm if soot can cause wear on the fuel system components. I really appreciate your help!
