Christian Filipina is a legal scam, it's pedalled by vologers simply cuz the vologers get a massive back hand aka finder's fee
Christian Filipina charges a fortune and are no difference between Christian Filipina or any other websites
Christian Filipina does not do background checks, only making sure your credit card has sufficient fund's for their steep BS membership fees

I met my Thai wife online. I was very naive to the scammers but I used some common sense when searching. She was the first one I contacted on the site. We met in 2015 and have been together since. I retired in January of 2021 and moved to be with her in Sriracha, Thailand after making several visits. I am up for an interview if I am a good fit for your vlog.

I am surprised an Australian or English bloke didn't bring the meat pie business to Thailand. 25:15 "I'm very proud of her. She actually has gone on to get her Masters degree in English....since meeting [me]. Since meeting, she had NOTHING... Sometimes, she had to repeat herself FOUR TIMES before I could understand what she was saying". This is truly amazing. Getting an MA degree in English when, only a few years before, her spoken English was almost unintelligible! In point of fact, an MA degree in English is no mean feat. Such a degree program offers courses in SYNTAX and semantics, and so much more. And then, you might need to write a thesis on some abstruse author if one is on the Literature Track of the MA program. The interviewee, himself, injected this fact into the interview, or I would not have mentioned it. But still, when I think of typical MA English degree holders, and when I consider the degree requirements, this is truly very high-level stuff for any non-native English speaker who began learning English relatively late in her academic career. I definitely would have liked to have heard more about this accomplishment at that point in the interview. I have met several Thai profs at places like CMU whose English is truly superb. But they began their English studies while young, and they were already quite fluent in English by the time they graduated from high school. Then they went on to get their MAs and PhDs in fields such as Education, the Sciences, and even English.

2:19 "Ew...Girls...Yuck"...:Even as a very young boy, before I really realized I liked girls...If I saw an Asian woman on TV...I would just stare...WOW!" Is he implying that he was attracted to Asian women before puberty, and before being attracted to LA women? I find this interesting because, when I was in first grade, I was deeply attracted to my first grade teacher, Miss Day. I still recall her name after over 60 years. Such an attraction was she, for me. And now, he's got me thinking of The WHO, and the song, American Woman.... "American Woman...gonna Mess Your Mind!... I say..A..., I say M...etc.)

14:31 He states: It's "Nong Buo, Lampoo which...Buo means boring." It seems to me, IMHO, that it is teachers such as this, who misstate the facts, with such assurance, that are the most difficult to stomach. In Fact: Buo (บัว) means Lotus, and not "boring". Maybe it is this guy who is boring, and NOT หนองบัวลำภู, Nong Bua Lamphu. ALSO, the pronunciation of เบื่อ (boring) and บัว (lotus) is completely different. Any teacher worth his or her salt should be aware of this important difference, and the cultural sensitivity involved, and the explanation required so as NOT to conflate the two. I am sorry, but loving Thailand as much as I do, I just could not let this example of ignorance, especially that of a teacher, slip by uncommented upon. I care about students, and I care about hardworking, informed, and intelligent teachers who care about the local culture and their pupils. Just one opinion based on what i see to be the facts.

0:00 "It was VERY FUN to indulge in all that Pattaya has to offer." A statement such as this, from a teacher, is troublesome solely from an English grammar perspective, and this is why I mention grammar, since teaching is this man's chosen profession. I think most of us know that the use of "very fun" in a sentence is awkward at best, and not grammatically correct, and not used by teachers of English, unless good teachers are using "vert fun" to teach their students examples of syntax that should not be used. I guess one need not be a Noam Chomsky to understand why this syntax is not standard English. I demand a higher standard for teachers who wish to teach me, or teach people I care about. English grammar matters.

And, therefore,...Look where you are Now!". I had puzzled over the meaning of this question for at least five minutes before I arrived at this conclusion. And, furthermore, Pete, I DO recall that you, yourself, made exactly the same career calculations a few months before deciding to return to Dublin. Anyway, this is my humble take on it....
