You have people complaining about comic accuracy, but when asked their favorite comic book movies they say DK Trilogy, Batman ‘89, Batman Returns, Man of Steel, Iron Man, etc. Those movies aren’t exactly comic accurate and yet they’re still successful. It’s not always about adapting comics 1:1 otherwise there’d be so many retcons and plot holes and random inconsistencies just like the comics. It’s okay to stray from the source material as long as the world and characters stay consistent or elevate their comic counterparts.
Comic Iron Man was held hostage in wartime Vietnam, not Afghanistan. He also had a secret identity. Also the ten rings wasn’t a middle eastern terrorist group and obadiah stane was a lot more like Lex Luthor, conjuring up schemes and building secret groups to take over Stark industries (specifically the Chessmen not the Ten Rings). Like I said a movie does not have to be 1:1 to be a good adaptation. In regard to MOS, it’s a bad adaptation and yet there are many fans of the movie. Man of Steel, BvS and all of the other DC Zack Snyder movies took something from the comics. There is no "one way" to interpret a character, you can explore multiple sides to them, which is what the comics do and what Zack Snyder did with Batman and Superman.

Technically, they have "differences" like colour saturation, texture etc But they're so miniscule that it doesn't make sense to argue against it Both suits look good
The only problem I have is with Guy Gardner not having the low taper beneath the bowl cut. It’s just completely uniform, very obviously a wig And if it’s not a wig… then they just screwed up
I feel like a lot of these people don’t want new, unique, bright and fun. they want copy and paste, dark and gritty “give me batman mcu”. I’m personally very excited for the new superman.
Zack's entire basis for BvS was ONE comic book. The Dark Knight Returns, and guess what? In that book, Batman doesn't kill people. In fact, he breaks a gun over his knee and calls it the weapon of a coward. Meanwhile BVS the batmobile is mounted with car melting machine guns and Batman literally, it's in the movie, follow me here, USES A GUN - TO KILL - A MAN. Really "comic accurate" stuff.
what makes this dumber is that he spares villains like the joker and luthor snyder couldnt even keep the killing consistant his batman is easily the worst of all and a waste of ben affleck
On top of that, the first guy saying the CW topped it just lied about the budget, james gunn himself has said multiple times the budget isnt that high, he even joked he wished it was that high lol
I'm all for the movie, i really like the suit, with that said, Superman suit is not accurate by any means. the lines is not in the comic, the symbol never been in the yellow as its black in KC and theres never been this kind of costume texture before its ok to admit that it look really good and not being accurate it borrow a lot of elements from various version of superman costume, and the costume designer had to came up with that stop buzzing "comic accurate" and start praising the designer behind the goodness they cooked for us James Gunn is WAYYYYY far from making comic accurate movies, but he knows the charm if comic book characters so he can recreate that feelings without 1 to 1 adapting anything
If they shown in such love and care but willing to compromise, I found them accurate. But really? How did we end up with people failing at the basic of “uniforms?”
One thing I’m a little bit confused by is green lantern, doesn’t green lanterns ring make his suit? I dont know a lot about green lantern and im not that big of a fan of any of them
most likely he choose to wear that instead of his default lantern uniform. but the question is why is he signing up with maxwell lord to begin with . aren't green lanterns supposed to report to the guardians?
Not to mention they are comparing pictures taken from behind to screens to screenshots taken from the episode With all the things that make those costumes look a little appealing
The CW Mr. Terrific was sooooooo cringe to me, this is a HUGE upgrade for me. Whoever in CW thought that an African American superhero could have an afro in his civilian attire and cornrows in his hero attire made sense clearly had none. 1:38 Villains lol?
man, the hate on this movie is unreal some people talking sh*t about the movie like they already saw it 🤦
Some people are VERY emphatic about … things they don’t understand.
There are Star Trek fans who just hate newer Star Trek for … things Star Trek has always done.
Ask them what their problem is, to explain it - and it’s difficult to understand the distinction.
Now think about discussing politics and the way people fail to “discuss” their differing views 💙💙💙
I read people said the cw costume was better. I’m like they don’t look exactly the same?? TF
Technically, they have "differences" like colour saturation, texture etc
But they're so miniscule that it doesn't make sense to argue against it
Both suits look good
Hey man. You're right. The movie is an adaptation of a comic book. It looks great. James Gunn be dripping gold. Keep it up. Later.
Half the people who say it’s not comic accurate haven’t read a comic book
Atleast it didn't get the modok treatment.
The only problem I have is with Guy Gardner not having the low taper beneath the bowl cut. It’s just completely uniform, very obviously a wig
And if it’s not a wig… then they just screwed up
this is what we get for studios marketing to people that aren't comic book fans for over a decade, thank god james gunn is in charge of DC now
People still complaining about this ain't real comic fans at this point
Ohh just give that man a full mask please I can’t
I mean I have to agree that the Kingdom Come suit from CW was the best live action suit we ever got from Superman. But the new one is good too.
Animation will always be the best medium to adapt comics after comics themselves
I feel like a lot of these people don’t want new, unique, bright and fun. they want copy and paste, dark and gritty “give me batman mcu”. I’m personally very excited for the new superman.
Not to mention people comparing those pictures from pre-production vs post-production.
This is his DCU's mister Terrific's hair
I'm all for the movie, i really like the suit, with that said, Superman suit is not accurate by any means. the lines is not in the comic, the symbol never been in the yellow as its black in KC and theres never been this kind of costume texture before
its ok to admit that it look really good and not being accurate
it borrow a lot of elements from various version of superman costume, and the costume designer had to came up with that
stop buzzing "comic accurate" and start praising the designer behind the goodness they cooked for us
James Gunn is WAYYYYY far from making comic accurate movies, but he knows the charm if comic book characters so he can recreate that feelings without 1 to 1 adapting anything
If they shown in such love and care but willing to compromise, I found them accurate. But really? How did we end up with people failing at the basic of “uniforms?”
They really said, "I wouldn't have ADDED the afro...it's a little too BLACK POWER" LIKE WHAT. A BROTHER CANT JUST HAAAAAAVE HAIR NOW
Nah, that CW Hawk girl does look better than Gunn's
If movie critics attack this movie then it means that it's about to be good!!
Yes it happens to the dark knight
One thing I’m a little bit confused by is green lantern, doesn’t green lanterns ring make his suit? I dont know a lot about green lantern and im not that big of a fan of any of them
Yes. The ring makes the uniform
@ so I wonder why his suit is uniform to that team he is part of, cuz when he’s in the justice league, he has his normal suit
I'm pretty sure the suit is also customizable like his constructs. Or he just chooses not to wear the suit.
most likely he choose to wear that instead of his default lantern uniform. but the question is why is he signing up with maxwell lord to begin with . aren't green lanterns supposed to report to the guardians?
@@swganimationsHe can form a suit that matches the team or just wear the team suit.
I think the T of the face always looked weird, but it looks good.
It could look as good as the Mona Lisa, and people will still complain.
As someone who hates modern super hero movies am exited for this movie. Also, Mr terrific looks goofy af, but I'm all for it
They're comparing grainy set photos to stills that have gone through post-production
wait, when did Dev become a superhero???
Not to mention they are comparing pictures taken from behind to screens to screenshots taken from the episode
With all the things that make those costumes look a little appealing
Which is why absolutely no one takes the Snyderclown seriously anymore
The CW Mr. Terrific was sooooooo cringe to me, this is a HUGE upgrade for me. Whoever in CW thought that an African American superhero could have an afro in his civilian attire and cornrows in his hero attire made sense clearly had none. Just consider the time it would take for that actor to sit in hair and make-up to get braided and tell me that a superhero would take that long to suit up.
James Gunn is trying to cook and people are complaining about their meal while it’s in the oven. Let’s see what we get served before harsh judgement or overwhelming praise.
Why are they comparing leaked set photos to final pictures with editing and post processing?
Anyone who says the CW Mr. Terrific looks better is simply lying. I refuse to accept that anyone actually BELIEVES that.
😡“ITs n0+ K0mic aKuReTt!”
🤨“Did you forget your candies this morning?”
😡”Birds are informing on us to the Under-Council! Soy sauce is _PEEPLE!_ *Beware the **_JABBERWOCKY!”_*
The only nitpick I have is that I think the mask should have been maybe half the thickness.
Yknow, maybe twitter should have been banned from brazil for more than a month i dont think i will miss it anyways
Ppl are just dumb or they could be snyderbots.
Acuracy is a feeling, making something similar to the source material is nothing but a way to reach acuracy, being acurate to source material limits creativity, feeling acurate doesn't
Nah they're just salty because Snyder universe is done.
As it should be
Fr🙏🏾😭
Honestly marvel fans were like she-hulk sucked ngl it wasn’t even that bad all marvel movies are fine to me and in dc some of the movies I hate or shows like CW but they way this new Superman movie is gonna be fire!
