Hi Michelle! I always follow you & Dr. Hashmi 😊 I agree with everything you said here & in your other videos. Nephrologists don’t have training in nutrition & it is so important to follow a whole food, plant based renal way of eating. Thank you for all you do to continue to educate us. 🥗🍇🍎🥒🥦
I remember being very confused with the contradictory information at the beginning of my kidney issue. Unfortunately the medical schools, not just Doctors but PA's and nurses don't have adequate training on nutrition(they are not the healthiest people). Nutritionist have to go through a lot of education and training, at the end of the rainbow is no pot of gold for them, hence there is a shortage.
Tomatillos can definitely be part of a CKD diet! 1 cup raw, chopped tomatillos is ~354 mg potassium. So the portion will just depend on individual potassium needs :)

Thanks so much for helping to clarify this important information. So much (almost dangerous) stuff passed as helpful on the internet
I am glad I was able to clear some things up! It can be very confusing on the internet!

Very very true. And especially with specialized renal dietitians. It is a small group. But starting to grow!
Good
Are tomatillos (green tomato’s) okay for Ckd?
