This is my plan for the next super bowl. I just need someone with a ticket to create a diversion, maybe fake a seizure or point away from the field and say "OMG, everyone, quick, look over there!"
We just posted a video about the world's largest stadiums -- and Michigan Stadium made the list. Please check it out on our channel when you have a moment!
That was the best video I've seen in a long time. I don't think any of the 113K in attendance minded that it wasn't "perfect' to some who do this all the time. It was quite a spectacle, and thanks to the 101st for providing another great moment at Michigan Stadium.
I have made a number of jumps with the 101st at Ft. Campbell and while they are Air Assult they still have Airborne troops. Many of the 101st guys I knew were all Airborne Qualified. The approach to the field clearly shows this trooper's professionalism and my Green Beret is of to you Sgt. Sniffen. AIRBORNE ALL THE WAY.

You think if his parachute failed he would be able to judge the angle of a nearby hill just right that he could gracefully splatter himself on it as he impacted at 200 mph
The reason for not letting the flag touch the ground is to protect it from being soiled or damaged. Merely touching the ground momentarily doesn't mean the flag has been disgraced or defiled.
The jump itself is enough of an adrenaline rush, the cheers of the crowd are the icing on the cake. His last second adjustments to hit the "X" were very impressive. I thought he was headed toward the sideline.
GO BLUE! We just posted a video about the world's largest stadiums -- and Michigan Stadium made the list. Please check it out on our channel when you have a moment!
@MCsonnyNR1 Michigan's "Go Blue" is because of the schools colors Maize (Yellowish Corn color) and Blue. "Go Blue" is the traditional rally cheer like the banner the players jump and hit before every game. They probably used Yellow (Maize) smoke because it would appear better in the sky so the crowd would notice him sooner. Most of the over 110,000 people that go to Michigan games wear mostly Maize as well. The student section you can see on the left is almost 100% Maize every week.

This is interesting. When i was in the british armed forces we used ram air S15's. They were brilliant for manouvarability and durability. Super reliable as well. I never had to deploy a secondary in over 76 jumps.
This is what we all wish we could do. In my next life I hope to push it. Before you say why not now; believe me there is good reasons. Thanks to Sgt. Adam we all got a little taste of it. what a great view!!!
Awesome. Well done. Michigan is one of the great teams in college football that I admire. Not as much as I admire Alabama though. Rolltide...hope you guys get back on your feet and back to winning bigtime real soon.
@skydive435 actually, that was a rather good landing if you consider the 1000+ feet he dropped. parachutes don't float you down. anyway plz don't take offense or anything from my comment its just something to take into consideration. :)
@Lexrockstheblock No, this guy is apparently out of Fort Cambell, KY. Although the Army's premiere parachute team are the Golden Knights, some Army Posts still maintain their own post demonstration teams that still go out and conduct exhibition jumps for the community.
Way more guts than I would ever have. True heroes on either side of the Atlantic and a reason why us Brits should always be grateful we are on the same wavelength as America.
Someone on an Alabama board linked me up with this vid. It's amazing. Great stuff. I can't wait to see y'all in Jerry world in 2012. Roll Tide! Go blue!
Anyone wondering what the yellow section is, it is the student section. As a student that goes there and goes to the football games it is one of the greatest experiences that you can have at a college football game. GO BLUE!!
@Hiigara85 Football, in both Europe/UK (Football or "Soccer") and the United States (American Football), is called Football because it is played on foot, not because of the use of feet to kick the ball. This is in contrast to a game such as Polo, which is played on horseback. Also, the British coined the term "Soccer" as an abbreviation for someone who participated in Association Football (a player was an "asoccer"). The term is now used in the US, Canada, and Australia to distinguish it.
@pete5668: The altitude from which the jump is made is mostly irrelevant. It looks like he made a downwind landing -- both the canopy and the smoke blew toward him when he landed. It is possible that he might have stuck an upwind landing. It's also worth noting that winds inside of a stadium can get pretty squirrely; it's quite possible that the wind shifted or he caught a rotor on final. (Yes, I've jumped into stadiums. No, I never fell on a demo jump -- but it happens, and it's no big deal.)
@fo694013 Your comment is correct, however, the 101st does have a parachute team, "The Screaming Eagles". Not only that this guy is clearly 101st; look at his parachute at 00:34, notice the screaming eagle.
That's some good aim cuz I know I wouldve have missed the stadium and landed on the highway. Actually I'm pretty sure my parachute wouldn't have opened and that would be the end of me. Good job though - you have balls my friend and I'm gonna clean them with the new Axe detailer
Imagine all that anticipation, executing a great dismount, controlled fall, spinning tricks while coming down, tens of thousands of fans roaring and cheering for you...and then you fucking fall on your face when you land #nailedit
We just posted a video about the world's largest stadiums -- and Michigan Stadium made the list. Please check it out on our channel when you have a moment!
for a spectacular entrance there needed to be at least 10 parachuters incoming, all with smoke lines blazing and running at triple dispense rates, while avoiding the incoming fireworks.
He sure didn't wanna miss the game
That's how to enter the arena without having to buy a ticket :)

I love how when he starts getting close you can hear the crowd cheering
Yeah
It was a blast watching him come in I have season tickets
There’s not much publicly safely rated for sound then the noise of that stadium. Absolutely a bonkers experience.
Amazing how loud the stadium was.. even several seconds before he entered it. Good stuff, proudly hauling my flag..
Mindblowing how accurate he is. Landing right on the X when it must be difficult to judge the distances from the aircraft.
That must be such an amazing feeling when entering the stadium, thousands cherring for you.
...by parachute no less!

Im an Ohio State fun but this is still AMAZING!
Fans of Michigan and fans of that team from south of there can unite and be fans of The Screaming Eagles.
GO AIRBORNE!!!
That's what I call a professional. Not only hitting the mark but operating a camera, the flag and smoke. Respect :)
