I almost bought the RCA 3.0 but ended up getting the Maytag 3.0. They are basically identical. The reason I went for the 3.0 is because the smallest full size machine I found is 3.5 cf & I wanted as close to full size as possible so I could wash blankets & anything else I wanted. The portable machines are hundreds of dollars cheaper & you can use them with a faucet or regular washer hookups. A repairman I know said that these portable washers are very good machines & worth the money.
Ive had my machine for over a year. Id like to let people know. Beware of the weight of your load. For example 5 regular size towels would fit in the machine. However once the water is filled, the machine gets “too heavy”…. 3 towels looks to small of a load. But your machine will be grateful. LoL I am saying this cause my kids would stuff the machine. And it struggled. Now on the spin cycle it goes “ crazy “. Like someone banging on the door, the floor, the wall all together LOL. I called to get quotes for repair. But the repair cost almost half of the price we bought it for. So I am thinking of just replacing it…. BUT if you load your washer sparingly, you will LOvE how convenient this portable washer is!
I just got mine an I love it. Gets clothes extremely clean and it is way bigger than I thought it would be. In all the packaging there was a metal like twist tie that I use to tie the drain hose and water hose together then I place drain hose over the sink an it stays in place when it's draining all the water out.
Yay... FedEx just brought my 3.0 through the door an hour ago. I will set it up later. I've been using the 2.0 a few years now and it's still going strong. Here recently I decided on the upgrade. I use duck tape to hole drain hose in place and I also place a big fluffy bath rug and place it under my washer to muffle any noises as I live in upstairs unit, I love my washer💕
I've seen folks solve the hose problem with Velcro looked like a good fix. As for the noise would anti-vibration/ shock absorber feet make enough difference?
Yes Velcro is a good idea I used a zip tie and it works great. As for the shock absorbers I can’t speak on that I don’t know to much about them. But noise level has been good I have had no complaints from neighbors.

The washer is still running good, I have done Queen sheets but not the comforter or quilts and yes I also got a dryer. The review will be out soon I got a panda.

I have the same exact washer. I bought it in September or October I believe and I think its a great machine, deff beats going to the laundry mat. My only issue is the drain hose.. I have always taped it to the sink just to be sure it won't fall out of the sink but this has happened 3 times causing my kitchen and hallway to become flooded, very annoying. Have you done anything in particular to make sure the hose is secure and won't come out other then tape because clearly that doesn't work for me :(
Hi everyone. What i do with the drain hose is take it out of the u shape holder and put it side by side with the hose coming from the faucet and tie it to that hose with string or rope or what ever you have available . you can do it that way and still let the hose lay in the sink and it won't fly out. You don't have to keep it in the u shaped holder if you don't want to. Just make sure the hose is secure the way i mentioned and it should be okay. Hope this helps.
I have two 5 pound hand held weights that i put duck tape to connect them together. Once i put the drain hose over the edge of the sink like we are supposed to... i put one weight on each side of the drain hose. The duck tape crosses over the hose keeping it very sturdy. The shape of the weights is perfect as one end is over the sink and the other end is over the edge. It saves on duck tape as i reuse it as is.
I've had mine since 2019 I get e3 code a lot which has to do with lid switch. I recently learned u need to drain water in back once a wk and that also helps issue with code. I have to move my lid until washer works.
I have washed a king bedsheet and pillow cases all at once, I’ve had no problem. I have filled up the bin with clothes but I try and do about a bit less than that to make sure my clothes get a good wash. If the amount of clothes is to much you will find out during the spin cycle. I have had to take clothes out because it was messing up the spin cycle. So just keep an eye out and listen to your machine.

There's also the Black+Decker 3.0. From what I gather, they're all pretty much the same, come from the same Chinese companies, they just rebrand them. So minor differences between all of them. I would just get the best deal.

Brands like Black and Decker and RCA are licensed out. These brands aren't manufacturing these products. If you do some research as I did you learn a lot of these portable washing machines are the same machine but branded differently.
That is a good question cuz it's like how do I put my Downy when I have a Downy ball? I was at a laundromat and I couldn't have my Downey to the rent cuz it's just been rinsing oh my gosh I'll just add the Downy to the wash

Are you filling the 1.6 up to the top, because you're not supposed to do that. All of these machines are max 3/4 the way up. He's only doing a small load here for demo, so it looks like less space.

Well it all depends on the size of the pillow, as for the queen comforter I haven’t tried yet. I would say it could but the machine might struggle and I just don’t like putting the machine under to much stress.
Good question I haven’t tried that to be honest. I will say I have started the machine forgetting to turn the water one and it does give an error report on the screen. Hope that helped.
Depends if it's liquid, capsules or powdered detergent. If it's liquid, it really doesn't hurt anything unless you put too much stuff into the machine. Most people use liquid detergent as a pretreater, but if you want to avoid stains from the detergent, add it to the drum before adding your items in or the dispensary drawer. Powder and capsules as well as scent pearls and or crystals work best when added into the tub before you put the clothes in otherwise they won't dissolve properly. It's always best to use the dispensary drawers for your detergent if your machine is equipped with one regardless of it being liquid or powder detergent and liquid fabric conditioner. If the machine doesn't have a dispenser for the conditioner, a Downy ball can work for that. This machine likely has the dispensary drawers equipped.

Hello Trudy, to be honest I have been using liquid detergent since I started using it and (knock on wood) no problems. It’s a great machine. It works great.
I just bought this and I love it, but I washed on the normal /quick setting at 99 minutes. I didn't care for how long the spin mode was for this setting. It was weird. The heavy /bulk cycle does an extra rinse, but doesn't spin for the 62 minutes, the remainder of the 99 minutes, like the normal/ quick cycle does. I actually didn't let it finish the spinning after it got down to 45 minutes. At about 52 minutes it took a 30 second break or so. Then it continued to spin all the way to 45 minute mark. That's when I decided to stop it. Did this happen to anyone else?
Hello, I sold it after a year. It worked great for that year no problem. I would wash my king and queen comforter but had to run a spin cycle twice to make sure it wasn’t soaked

There are ways to dampen sound. Like a rubber mat, anti-vibration pads, etc. Yes, you can do extra rinses and spins.

I think I read in the directions that if you hook it up to a single faucet you should leave the water temperature on Cold.

Hey Diva, yea it comes with a hot and cold hose with only one adapter. So it’s a bit of a pain if you are using it with a sink.

I would try a smaller load. Then do only a spin cycle. It sounds like the drum might be off balance.
