Is there a way to get the camera closer to your helmet? I do want to upgrade to the H5 but I want the back of my camera touching my helmet and that adapter looks pretty cumbersome. I'd also need an eliminator. Fuck... maybe ill just stick the hero 3.

@SUB. DELINQUENT there is a mount you can buy where the camera is like 1cm or something away from the camera, its called ( gopro - front and side mount ) /EMEA/mounts/helmet-front-and-side-mount/AHFSM-001.html

HEY SUB D! I can't believe I missed your comment on my vid. I've been stupid busy this winter. It can be way closer depending on your helmet style with just a classic J Hook. I had broken mine and so that's why I'm using a full arm with two links instead of just the J Hook and just the single short link. My brother's setup is like that. As far as hiding the clunky adapter box, good luck. That's like trying to hide a boner in sweatpants during a friendly game of twister at the playboy mansion.

With all that connected will that hinder the safety of the helmet due to having the camera put there .. I have it myself but just wondering putting the question out there thanks .. oh sorry could not quite clearly the block due to not enough light hitting it I guess
alf786 the camera will break off with any significant impact, but certainly wouldnt co.promise the integrity of the protective shell
I've just tried to use mine and the audio is shocking for some reason it's orite then goes really bad so I don't know which setting I need to use cause I don't know if it's switching from external microphone to go pro microphone hopefully you could help
How do you make sure no water gets in them mini hdmi port since you have to take the door off to plug in the mic adapter?

no problem bro! the housing comes in your gopro hero 5 box along with the plastic arms and chin mount. i dont have any extensions for mic. just adapter and mic itself.

How do you think this setup fares against high windspeeds like 100+mph? it sounds pretty wind-free. good tips and nice k7....600? I can't tell, it looks like you have the 16k redline lol.
Cali Rider I havent had much trouble since the mic actually reaches far up into the helmet and sits all the way up by the top of the cheek pad. But im sure if it was closer to the opening a dead cat of some kind could easily solve it. good call man 07 gsxr 600. I couldnt be happier with the bike only changed sprockets for some more low end power!

and hell yeah man, GSXRs are awesome bikes. I only sold my k7 600 to upgrade to a k7 750..and just like you, I couldn't be happier. it's been the perfect bike.

I use DUCT Tape for most everything like that man I taped off the power hole in the adapter box too. My mic is taped to the shell of my helmet as well. Whoever invented Duct Tape is an absolute legend!

I got 4 silver and the battery life is trash. I fucking hate how I gotta charge it every night. I also got the first GoPro that I have on the back of the bike and the life on that batt is amazing. I can go 2 days without charging it. Also, your mic sounds good. No wind noise. Just your voice and pipe. I think GoPro did that shit on purpose with the big ass adaptor. Soon they'll make a small one and people will obviously buy the small one. Those fuckers are making money of things like that. Nice setup though.

Solo Rider theres too many rides i didnt get tape bc of that issue. Or even if it was charged it dies so fast. only way is to bring a bunch of batteries
