My personal guide to using Focus: *Use Unairu.* Like genuinely, I remember standing by Madurai for the longest time, and make no mistake Madurai is really really good-- outsourcing casting speed with Power Transfer and having Void Strike as an out if you pick a fight you can't win like a void angel when the levels are too high or whatever, that's all excellent and I love it-- but also, legitimately nothing is as freeing as having Caustic Strike letting you outsource *armor strip* to your operator. Just, literally any time you're playing a combination of weapon and frame that has a bit of an armor shaped blind spot, and you can feel that you've been in this mission long enough that the levels are starting to outscale you, 5 > 2 means that enemy is no longer reducing your damage by 98% and you can splatter it onto the pavement. Also, knockdown immunity every time you press 5? For like forty seconds at max rank? This on top of Last Gasp, which is amazing and you should unbind it as soon as possible. Also, Stone Skin might not sound like that much, but on some frames that like octuples their survivability or whatever, and some incarnon weapons want you to have 450 armor to activate a perk, and this counts I'm pretty sure.
Unairu also has possibly the strongest waybound in the game, Last Grasp. The ability to self revive for free can be rather strong for things like Archon Hunts and Deed Archmedia where self-revives are disabled. The catch is that if you don't have the damage for higher-level content, you will probably fail to use Last Grasp.
I started out with Madurai well before the focus rework, back when we still had Void Blast and Madurai had fire-based abilities. I miss those days. I never used Void Strike back then, barely knew it existed. I just chose Madurai because the description in Second Dream perfectly fit my playstyle
Same. Back in those days I didn't even unlock Transference, I only had Transcendence. Me and a buddy would use Transcendence to damage bosses that our weapons just weren't good enough for. I've learned a lot since those days, but it'd be nice to go back to Transcendence every now and then.
@@jacoblansman8147 I just read from the Warframe Wiki that you can still use transcendence if you replay the second dream quest. You can try it out if you want to use transcendence again
My main focus school until very recently was vazarin, mainly for the dash heal. That ability was my go-to panic button when i was first starting steel path. I think it still heals some objectives now, but not to the degree that it used to, when it could heal defense targets to full if you were in a rough spot.
One thing to note about Vazarin- If you use Melee Crescendo, group enemies on the ground with your sling, then do ground finishers. A few groups and you have Crescendo maxed for the mission.
Madurai: Damage:(Power Strike) offers up to +1000% damage. This is additive to base damage mods such as Serration,Merciless/Deadhead, Condition Overload, etc. Also provides +40% power strength(sling strength) and +50% casting speed(power transfer). Useful for ability spammers, hitting strength thresholds, and snapshot abilities(such as channeling abilities) (Contamination wave) weakens enemies to operator damage. Useful for operator-centric activities like eidolons Zenurik: Energy Regeneration. VERY valuable, especially to newer players though it doesn't do much else.
Focus schools have been kind of funky, they are super important, but they are sometimes weird to use. Though as with Warframe in general the wiki will be your best friend for stuff that needs more information. Thank you for the helpful video MC!
Vazarin healing is top notch! Getting a few seconds of immunity and 60% life back is massive when you are taking too much damage. That and guardian shell pulled me through SP circuit when I had rando frames and weapons.
Vazarin is life, if I can afford to use it on a support frame I will. It's also disgustingly synergistic with Garuda, I've used this combo since Garuda's release with Fortuna.
I looove unairu and vazarin, but ive been enjoyring naramon too recently, and honestly madurai and zenurik are real fun too. I really enjoy what they did with the focus rework, I find myself literally using all the schools and enjoying them
I used to use Zenurik all the time, until I got enough other means of energy sustain and now I mostly run Naromon and Madurai. These are also the 2 I have maxed out. Currently working on Unairu
@@thebosicothe yeah it's like really useful. But once energy sustain becomes more accessible, you kinda get bored of Zenurik and want to use focus for other things.
I used to always go with Madurai when I was first starting out, as the extra damage outputs really helped out in mid game, but now I mainly always use Unairu. The armour/shield stripping is such a boon, coupled with essentially having Inaros' and Sevagoth's passive on any warframe you like makes it an extremely efficient survival tool in later levels.
Lovin it. Would love to see current mech, railjack and operator sets ups that are ideal if not meta. Every time I come back there’s a few changes I gotta research
i defaulted to zenurik for the majority of the time, but at one point on 1 of the melee mechanic updates i left it on naramon and basicly never took it off. there ar 2 reasons why ive never needed to switch back, 1: i build most of my frames with a good loop of survivability with basicly the only issue i have on some is the inital start of the mission. 2: basicly every public mission i run, someone else has it so i never need it.
2:30 this is the focus school I use the most. High level content becomes a cakewalk if you combine it with shield gating and shield regen. But don't tell anyone hehe.
I think you really mischaracterized Vazarin: While I do not use it much myself, everyone I know in my playgroup has it in their top 3 or number 1, and it's always for the power of getting trash pubbies out of bad situations with instant rezzes, and providing team utility with its healing. The other stuff is also quite good, but downplaying the healing / resurrection is a bit inaccurate.

Just note that Zenurik is not good for shield tanking builds, because Inner Might can give you free ability casts which will not proc Brief Respite or the Auger mods which therefore won't recharge your shields. Yes I ran Zenurik with a shield tanking build and wondered why I sucked :
Unairu: annoying need to cast it in order to kill anything - just get Pillage instead Vazarin: you can pretend Revenant but have to recast mesmer shield ever 3 seconds - nice vortex but slow and low range Madurai: casting speed x2 - can Last Gasp except you die pointing gun in the sky Zenurik: ME HAVE NO ENERGY - disarm and stall Naramon: big magus destrus - gets blocked on banana peel Focus 2.0 - the most useless update ever

Warframe really does give you a God complex when you max all your Tenno Schools.
Nice video for help with schools sadly wish i came cross it sooner as i messed up me schools with starting nodes and ones set up after

Just like a couple weeks ago I finally finished all the Focus Schools and now this video comes out lmao
I only been using zen since second dream.
So Nice to learn others exist lol
Even with madurai being so good. I miss the elemental stuff from the previous incarnation. It was cool shooting fireballs 😢
The fireball and fire trail were objectively terrible, but also so, so cool.
I enjoyed vazarin! Mainly because I used it with frame that synergizes with it such as Harrow and Trinity~
good day TH-cam man

Me watching a focus guide after having them maxed out for literal years as MRL4 😅
You forgot to mention Unairu have Poise which negates knockback, no longer need PSF, just swap in & out operators for free PSF
are you going to be doing a dedicated dante video?
No last grasp, Dang
Expecting Tennos to Read ? Tsk tsk tsk... This video wouldn't exist if such a Thing was Possible 😝
Just an idea for a future video on the pathocyst, i like the weapon but can't make it work :(
i thought this would help me focus for school. this helped me for focus schools though.
Wish we could convert excess focus into mats or currency or something. 20million extra per focus school and nothing to do with.
Guardian break caps your shield regen delay all on its own for passive gating.
There's no Cap 👀
Need to stress Poise from Unairu more. No need for Primed Sure Footed if there is Poise.
I see you maining the twin kohmak you little...
but if I read tooltips why would I click on a video of a youtubemans who reads them to me?
Why dont you have last gasp waybound? Am I missing out on something?
Read? I play Warframe Mr. TH-cam Man. We don't read here. ;)
read?... but most people can't do so... indicated by how much people still hate limbo for no good reason.
I have over 40m spare points on Vazarin, having bought all Represents in all school... Someone please send help

I can't
