One extra supertip about cruisecontrol: when in cruisecontrol you can adjust the movement of the drone with the sticks and then “update the cruisecontrol” by pressing cruisecontrol again, thus adding that new movement to your existing cruisecontrol …
Thanks for another great video. Just ordered the cheat sheets (and the mini 4 pro ones). Going to print them, get them laminated and keep in my camera bag. As a relatively new drone user I often forget about all the features/settings and find myself out and about trying to view your videos on YT to get the answers - these will be a game changer.
One more tip is that you can combine Spotlight with Cruise Control, automating even more movements, and allowing additional stick input for more complex movements. Plus you can continually update Cruise Control for new movements as needed, and can still add manual stick movements along the way. Great video, thank you!
That mic would also be good to record ambient sound where the drone is flying without recording the actual sound of the drone. So if you’re by the beach it will record the sound of the waves as you fly along the beach. This would add much more depth to your videos.
Fantastic tutorial, I didn't know about that last tip where I can adjust the Shutter or ISO with the scroll wheel and function buttons, thanks Matthew.
I always appreciate and enjoy your tip videos. Even though I have learned some of these things before I tend to forget a fair bit over time due to not using them regularly. Thank you for this refresher.
Great Video! I've been experimenting with using cruise control and the left joy stick to yaw the drone left or right at a steady, smooth rotation. This allows me to record a 360 panoramic video of the landscape I am flying in. The cruise control allows me to avoid the jerks and unsteadiness that can bedevil a shot that takes 30 to 60 seconds. PLEASE continue to do more of these types of videos.
This is such a great way to use the cruise control feature! I definitely overlooked it at first, but I've since realized how powerful and useful it can be!
15:24 I wonder if this also works in Photo mode? This could have come in handy earlier today when I was doing a photogrammetry flight as I kept having to stop and hover a bit to adjust those two settings. Awesome to know you can do that with the combo. Happy Days
Amazing video! Ton of new things... Also, when using the spotlight feature you can also change the altitude while orbiting the drone around the subject to get a different cinematic shot
Thanks for sharing these tips, I can’t wait to try them out. Something I have found to assist in syncing the screen video’s audio track to the drone video is file a stopwatch video display showing minutes, seconds and milliseconds mm:ss:m. This is so much easier for me over the hand clap.
You got such a way to tickle my curiosity that I can’t skip any of your video. Even if I don’t own a mini 4 pro yet (stillI have 2 mini 2!) It will be in my next bucket list (I’m curious to know if DJI will improve more this drone? Which is pretty impressive right now!) Thanks for passing your passion to us, it’s great to have quality info and update. Cheers (from CDN)
I’m always keeping an eye out for you or your drone Creative! I live in NI too and you have helped me become a better pilot especially with my new mini 3 on the way for Xmas!!! Upgrading from a DJI Spark
Try using cruise control while in spotlight mode , save you using any fingers while orbiting etc , did you know you can stack the cruise control commands ?
Truly great educational video. I really wonder why you didn't get hit the 1 million mark. All the best to reach thee son and give us more useful tips..
I think you could have utilized the active track better on the mini 4 by setting your height and drawing the autonomous Direction you wanted to fly in it will still stay directly behind you and go higher if that's what you choose the direction to be
@@TheDroneCreative Actually right now I have no drone - the last one is lost in the ocean and I am not sure if I am to late in the market for a mini 4 pro - but waiting is not my thing. so maybe i`ll try the neo and wait with it for the 5 mini... while watching your tipps & tricks. so again, thanks for that!
Great video! I’ve never tried spotlight mode but I’ll have to do it now. I’ve tried similar maneuvers manually previously and they’re quite tricky. This should certainly help. As for cruise control.. again I’ve never tried it. The problem I’ve got with my Mini 4 Pro is that I have the C1 button allocated to switching the light on/ff (I like it! 😃) and C2 rotates the camera of course. However.. I have just bought an Air 3S. and I’ve allocated its C1 to cruise control. Just tried it indoors and it works. Can’t wait to try it properly outside 😃 Thanks Steve
Surely good tips but are they only valid for Mini 4 pro? My stuff is a Mini 3 pro and a Mavic 3 pro... Just circled around a church in only a few degree C. No problem! Making flights where sitting in the car works, any object can be recorded, any day. Today it was 3 hours of recording.
Got any tips or tricks that make the Mini 4 Pro even better? Share them in the comments below!

I truly believe that you are the best drone teacher around.

I thought I had done that in the past, but lately it doesn't work. Has the new update changed something?

loved them all!!!! Thanks a new fan in me you have!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
that audio recording is awesome, thanks for sharing 😮❤

Awesome video so much usable information. Thank you.
Thanks you for your content. Very useful for me.
Great content - thanks for the video, I've never tried cruise control before )) Its time to test it ))
Just got my mini 4 so the timing of this is *chef kiss*

Need to double check but pretty sure this also works for Photo mode!
Thank you. I immediately set my C2 to cruise control after watching this video!

Thank you! Was actually doing a similar move with my Air3s yesterday using Spotlight mode and the 3x tele camera. Made for a really interesting shot!
Excellent advice and tips. Thanks.

Pity that the RC2 does not work in bluetooth mode when using a wireless mic, the Osmo Action 5 can record 2 Mic Minis on bluetooth at the same time .

Very helpful, thank you. I really need to upgrade to a M4P once the hysteria subsides here in the USoA.
very nice! thanks!

Can you use the sticks to control the camera while the drone itself is in cruise control?
Great tips. Thanks for sharing. I can't wait for you to do one on the neo and the n3 Googles 😁👌👍 🇬🇧
Awesome
Does the standard Mini 3 has 'cruise control'?

How do You sync the audio recorded by the controller with the drone recording?
RC2 2.... What about other controllers like RC or RC pro?
Very cool video. My question is: will the mic work with the N2 control?
Not the controller itself, but you can plug it into your phone while it’s attached to the controller and record that way!
@ but if the phone is plugged into the N2, how can I plug the mic as well? Pls?
@@jjjrgycia4920 With the Mic Mini you can connect the transmitter to your phone via bluetooth.
Saved to Favorites.. and I hardly ever do that with YT videos.
Do these work on the mini 3 Pro?
sigh...how I miss those views...what a great place
What if you use POI instead of spotlight?
POI will work if you want to do an orbit, but with Spotlight you can do any move you want.
@@TheDroneCreative You can still change the elevation even in POI mode. I guess if you want to control the movement then spotlight makes sense.
When I use spotlight mode it doesn’t lock on , the square goes away when I tap spotlight

Excellent video. If I had you as a teacher in school, I would have made better grades. 😊
Missed the goggles bro mini 4 pro smoothe
You almost need subtitles 😂 love your work. The close up shots of the controller during your tutorials is amazing
Nice vid
Great video
