Very cool! Once you pull the trigger, you’ll be asking yourself, “How’d I live without this sucker for so long?” Then your wife will say no when you ask to upgrade to a new one later on. Hahaha. In all sincerity, I would say the Spectra Mini would probably be a better choice depending on price of course. I’m not familiar with the prices between the two right now. The reason I say what I say is I love our DJI Mini 2 drones and apparently the Specta Mini is a clone of the Mini 2. Best of luck in your decision and please keep us in the loop wish what you choose. @@WeretheRoberts Thanks! I think you're right in the DJI Mini 4K and the Specta Mini are basically the same. One thing I am seeing is (right now anyway) is there are no extra batteries or other accessories available for the Specta. (Sold out?) I'm sure this will change though. Not having a "fly more" pack with the Specta is also concerning, especially since they do have extra batteries in stock. It's much harder to compare these two because of the lack of accessories. As far as the wife, she is the one pushing me into a cheaper hobby over collecting vintage baseball cards. 😂

Hahaha. That hat is awesome if I gotta say so myself. Kristi bought me a new one cause this one is getting pretty ratty. I’m saving the new one for church and black tie events though. 😂If I could recommend a great drone to start with, I’d suggest looking into the DJI Mini 4K. It’s a remake of the original Mini 2 and I’m telling you what, it’s my favorite drone of all time. Even beats the 4 pro in my opinion. It doesn’t have obstacle avoidance or the follow me stuff, but it flies smooth and it takes really good footage. Plus it’s a lot less expensive than the decked out drones. I was just trying to stay in true We're the Roberts fashion and screw up... hahaha It seemed like this fridge was running all the time, especially when I had it in max mode but even in eco mode, every time I went out to check on it, it was running... lol I seriously have no idea why I never thought of the fan idea... Yes, I do... I have never had ECO mode interfere with an update before so I thought it was kind of weird that it did this time... All I can say is that drone was HOT!!

I was also informed I missed the "view 360 image" button or whatever it said on the images section when I was trying to view the sphere photo... lol I noticed that button when I was editing and thought to myself, "Yes, Kevin. @WeretheRoberts I have not been able to upgrade to a four. Our car was totaled on the 30th. We are okay. But getting their insurance to pay what we need to get a different car and set it up to tow is a different story. They just won't do it. It cost us $12,000.00 they want to pay $4,000.00.

Dang, that's weird... I've never had any of our drones automatically swap to pro mode on RTH trips... I'm always in auto mode because I don't know the first thing about photography and that pro mode stuff confuses the crap out of me... lol I really don't think the drone should be doing what you're experiencing here, man... See? All little quirks and I bet it has something to do with an update... lol

lol yea, man the fridge did pretty good with these weird, non-scientific, We're the Roberts tests but I know it would've done better if it was full of stuff... The db readings were a little louder than I expected but I wasn't in a totally quiet place I reckon... Ambient db was over 40? geez, Kevin!! It's like a war zone in there! haha

Yea, it's definitely a nice cooler but I do agree it's pretty expensive... That 12% discount thing is nothing but a tease!!! lol I was looking at a 12 volt lunch box cooler style when I was still working and just that little thing was almost $200... Wife told me I would be sticking with my old lunch box and a couple of those ice packs... haha It got me though, right? I tried to talk her into buying a drone with the money we saved and she said no... lol

lol good point... Not an RV fridge but definitely a normal dorm style fridge and maybe even a regular 18 cf fridge... Why does stuff have to be so expensive??? We're gonna use it as a back up in the camper I think. Once I put it where it goes, I don't wanna have to move it... lol

@ it is small and light weight but I get all my stuff from Amazon but I do alot of research before I buy anything. We are about to get higher prices or to the old days where everything was made in USA

Hey there and thanks so much for watching. That’s a bad problem to have but there could be an explanation. First question is when you’re in the air, is the obstacle avoidance icon red or white? Red means obstacle avoidance is off and white means it’s on and working properly. You can turn obstacle avoidance on and off in the safety settings. If they’re turned on in the safety tab, make sure you’re not in sport mode because obstacle avoidance sensors are turned off in sport mode. Beyond that, the only other thing I can think of is to clean the sensors and make sure they’re not obscured with dust or dirt. You may also want to check your volume setting on the RC2 controller. I believe the obstacle avoidance sounds can be adjusted with the volume control just like the voice prompts for home point updated and that stuff. That’s all I can think of so hopefully one of those helps you out. Good luck!!!

lol I hear what you're saying, man... It seems to me they're more concerned with coming out with new drones to put Hover Air out of business than to focus on the drones they already have out that normally work perfectly.. Yea, I know these issues are tiny and not really important to most people who fly the Mini 4 Pro, but dang, we all paid a lot of money for these things, right?

Thanks for the heads up, buddy... I'll take a look at it. We've never had any complaints about the GoPro footage but we do record in 1080p because the 4k footage is too much for our computer and internet to keep up with when uploading to TH-cam.. Could that have something to do with it, too?

@@WeretheRoberts Nope, 1080p shouldn't look this doo doo lol... Also, you can edit 4k with your iPhone, you'll have to learn a new editing software but it's worth it... Probably and hopefully

Hahahaha. Good observation, buddy. The Mini Killer/Crusher videos is a series of videos we’ve been doing where we test out budget mini drones (killers) and sometimes bigger drones (those are the crushers). Yea it’s dumb. hahaha.. I'll give that a shot just for your TV, man... My only question is will it be harder on the computer's processor to do it in HDR? Our computer is pretty topped out with the way we do it now but if it's only the drone SD card footage that it has to work harder for, it may not be a big deal...

@ I copy the drone SD card to my iPhone, stitch the flight clips together using iMovie, and then I upload to TH-cam from my phone. That’s the long way of saying I don’t know!

I'm really not sure why DJI can't address this problem quickly... I know they already have it solved, they just need to put out the firmware update, right? Regarding the boat, that was cool!!! lol
