- In a recent interview, Education Secretary Gillian Keegan expressed her concerns that current school transgender advice may not be sufficient. This comes amidst a wave of controversial incidents, including a preschool in Hull showing children pictures of individuals dressed in bondage gear and the Tavistock Clinic approving a sex operation for a 22-year-old with multiple mental health conditions and learning difficulties.
The issue at the heart of this debate is the welfare of vulnerable individuals, particularly children and young adults, who may be seeking gender reassignment procedures. Kelly Jay Keen, founder of Standing For Women, joins the conversation by highlighting the need for mental health assessments before such drastic measures are considered. She argues that individuals should have significant mental health issues as a prerequisite to undergoing body-altering surgeries.
A spokesman for the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust said: “We cannot publicly discuss the situation of any individual patient. We can say that no surgery is available under the age of 18. We work with every adult on an individual basis, including where an assessment of their capacity to consent to treatment is made."
“Where complex or additional needs such as mental health problems, communication or learning difficulties are identified, more assessment consultations may be appropriate prior to any form of treatment pathway being agreed.”

The problem is, gender dysphoria (despite its name) is NOT actually considered a mental illness. I know, it's bizarre. All that needs to happen is for this condition to be recognised for what it is and all this will stop.
Defenders of the book claim that it's all about love. This is nonsense. Men dressing up in bondage gear has nothing to do with love and everything to do with lustful perversion. Such material is not suitable for a children's book.

It's not all teachers. We are up against a system that is very broken and many of us would be afraid to speak up. I have recently retired early for a number of reasons not least that I will not promote gender ideology. To be fair to my last school ... it wasn't heavily promoted but can see what it's like in other schools.

Love KJK!! Our tax dollars need to go toward non-affirming mental health services for those with gender dysphoria or who are fetish addled, and for prisons for the Franksteinian doctors that did these mutilating surgeries.
The NHS itself now bans medical transition of minors, and ‘strongly discourages’ the social transition of minors. Parents should reference this in their efforts to protect their children.

We’re unlikely to see anyone held accountable for this. A Libyan doctor working for the NHS performed experimental surgeries on 100 patients without their knowledge. He destroyed many lives and all he had to do was voluntarily take his name off the register. He’s now back in Libya performing surgeries.

In America this has gone way out of control. UK needs to prosecute people who are actively allowing or promoting this Child Abuse before we plummet down the same route. Our Laws must surely protect children and those already pushing this must be brought to court as examples that it is not unacceptable and must stop.

If I had a fiver for every letter I have written to MPs, Ministers, Editors etc complaining about the lack of protection for girls in this country from FGM - one conviction in 38 years of this being made a specific criminal offence - I would be able to buy the Isle of Mustique. St Thomas's Hospital, London and 16 other centres up and down the country try to treat hundreds of victims of this barbaric ritual, which is a crime in this country, every year. Why?

I remember when nodding dogs were only seen in cars as we went to the seaside up to Bamburgh and poked these massive jellyfish on the beach with stalks from the equally massive seaweed. Those times in the 60s were sane compared to now.
Given the current climate, I think that if Kelly-Jay turned up with her daughter, insisting that she wants to transition to a boy, I wouldn't be surprised if she was referred straight to a surgeon to do the job, rather than a referral to the police in order to get protection for her daughter.

It is time that arrests were made in both the Tavistock and in the schools. No medical professional should be allowed to experiment on any child or vulnerable adult. These doctors should be struck off and imprisoned. No teacher should be telling children about any form of sexual matters, that is not their job. Their job is to teach maths and English etc.

It's been going on for at least 10 years, so not just this PM. And all the main parties have supported it.
As a conservative individual, I would like to offer some constructive criticism (said with the utmost respect) for Kellie-Jay. I find her personality abrasive, so even though I might agree with her sentiments, how she goes about stating her opinions, completely puts me off. As of now, I don't have any time for her. I strongly suggest that she tones down her aggressive approach, because that, and only that, is the reason for what happened to her here in New Zealand. As you can imagine, the whole palaver she caused in Australia before coming to New Zealand, was witnessed by us on the news. So before she even set foot on our shores, everybody already had their backs up. Why? Because, despite what our Labour Party has already written into law (and you're right, they won't be leading for much longer), we never hear about any issues experienced, on a daily basis, between "straight" and trans individuals. Nothing. Zip. Zero. No dramas whatsoever. So, unfortunately, even coming to New Zealand is a bit of a waste of time. But if she insists on coming, there's a couple of things she should know: she'll need to tone down the attitude, because nothing much on the transgender front even happens here. So, coming here with all that bluster and screeching about women's rights, is wholly unnecessary, and entirely misplaced. Secondly, even as a conservative, I'm well aware that transgenderism exists, whether you like it or not. There's no point denying it. The issue is how it should be dealt with when it comes to things like sport, and sharing public bathrooms, for example. To date I have never heard of anyone bumping into someone in a women's restroom, who seems to be a man dressed in women's clothes. However, there's always time for that day to come. Therefore, I'm a believer of the need for a third restroom. That seems logical, fair, and everybody can be happy. An all-out assault on transgenderism simply makes you seem like a bigot. Rather focus your energy, in a more respectful way, on the consequences of legislation that has not been properly thought through. That will gain you more respect, and people will want to listen, rather than simply get turned off by you.
