Only Dan could take a fragment of a traditional sea shanty, arrange it a bunch of different ways, make himself into a chorus, and come up with this! Thanks for another interesting and informative reaction. Subbed, hoping for more Dan reactions.
I'm always happy to see you've released another reaction. You bring a unique aspect to your reactions and I appreciate it! Love Dan's version of My Mother Told Me. His vocals, performance and "manliness" are something very special (and his hair)! Please more Dan Vasc reactions.
Thanks for a great reaction to this song by Dan Vasc. He seems to be able to sing almost all genres of music and perform them all so well. I would love to hear you react to his cover of Bring Me to Life by Evanescence. He pulls out many different skills from his vocal toolbox and makes this a knockout. I always enjoy your analysis and I look forward to more Dan on your channel.
Seeing a new Dan video in your reaction always brightens my day. I really like your reactions to Dan. (Probably to others too, but for now I'm focused still on Dan songs).
New to the channel. If you haven't heard it yet, Voice Play's cover of this song is amazing. It gives me chills even though I've heard it several times now. The guitar, when it's not competing with Dan's voice is great. Of course, that man can sing well, and does.
I always enjoy your analysis of artist's performances. However, one little point that I personally disagree with is about Dan's hair. I think most of us ladies prefer to have him wear it without a braid. We like it natural and free flowing. Maybe that's just me. Lol HAIL VASCNATION!❤
Why did Dan not do a braid? I’ve never seen a single video where Dan has any sort of braid. He may not know how to braid, he may not want to ask someone else to do it, he may not like the look of a braid for himself…there are a few possibilities.
While I enjoy Dan's version, I prefer the Saltatio Mortis (Latin for dance of death) rendition as it has more flavor and is in Icelandic, which the singer learned just for the song. the visuals in the Saltation Mortis version are also far better, presenting an example of the Holmgang, the Nordic method of settling personal disputes.
@@deb66689 You could be correct, but I remember seeing an interview with Alea where he said it was Icelandic. And providing a correction is always appropriate. I have always followed the philosophy that I cannot know everything and should listen to those with more knowledge.
Dantastic ❤❤❤❤

Great reaction. Thanks. For something completely different, consider Dan's cover of The Song of the White Wolf from The Witcher.
Great reaction! Check out his 10 Epic Power Metal Songs in 6Minutes! It’s a fun ride❤

I love your expertise in analyzing this song and how he did it; the effects he used. It adds to my enjoyment. Blessings to you as well.
The vocals do not get lost at all! Mayki and Dan are a great team!
Other than that, and stops at strange times, a good reaction.

Sizzle in the snare drum 😂

Not being a smart arse, but that would be Old Norse, not Icelandic. Though Icelandic is the closest language to Old Norse.
