I really got a kick out of your reaction to this Viking War Song. I thought you might like to know that for his biggest fans, Dan has an E Book on his methods for protecting your vocal chords. He said in a chat I heard, that when you sing metal music, the best thing to do when you are done singing to to be completely silent the rest of the day. Do not talk or anything so your vocal chords can rest. This is why he does not perform live as there are always requests for interviews and meeting people afterwards. My personal favorite (sort of) Metal-ish version of this song is actually that of Saltatio Mortis (bascially a German Folk metal band) - it's sung partly in Old Norse, too, and if you do not stomp to any given shore and enter a boat right after the song ends, I don't know what. :) Give them a try - they are great folks and the video is cool. However: I found it even more amazing that Dan Vasc did all the voices and everythin in here all alone. So much work to put all of this together - and the outcome is awesome. 😃
