❤❤❤❤I love this. It’s hard to believe Dan recorded this in his garage, by himself. No high-tech recording studio or professional orchestra. Thank you for another great reaction and support for the amazing Dan Vasc!
This was actually how I discovered Dan Vasc-I was searching for Nessun Dorma a few years ago (looking for Pavarotti) and found Dan instead. Been hooked ever since ❤
Absolutely beautiful…his voice has the most beautiful timbre that makes every song he sings belong to him. That with his ability to sing any genre and just WOW! He is the whole package 👏 Great reaction choice thanks!
Goosebumps, right? Dan was classically trained for years and that helped him to sing with such power and beauty. His Father was part Italian and he used to listen to this song with him. That made it especially emotional for him. He lost his Dad over 5 years ago to cancer I imagine he never got to hear Dan sing this. If he is listening from heaven, you know he is so proud of him. On another note, I would love for your reaction to his cover of Lost in Paradise (Evanescence cover). It is so beautiful and powerful. Thanks so much for your continued support of Dan Vasc on your channel.
Dan used to listen to this with his dad who had Italian ancestry. I believe he sang this in honor of his dad and those emotions were very real. He nailed this in his own special way. Thanks, as always, for the great reaction, Sebs.
Thank you for your support and great explanation on this impressive song "Nessum Dorma" sung by Dan. As an outsider, I can't begin to appreciate how much training and discipline it takes to belt out a song like that. For me, Dan is a master of his craft and we revere him for that.❤
I've watched this via several opera singer and vocal coach reactions. All have commented that he is an absolute teaching moment for their students on all the right things to do...what a compliment. Kudos for a beautiful version AND double crescendo.
This is superb! Thanks for the great reaction. Watched FNT tonight with Dan as guest ... Dan said he is going to have to release another cover soon to pass Nerdrotic and make his million subs first. We can look forward to another new Dan release soon! 😊😊😊
Dan was emotional singing this. Him and his father were very close and used to listen and sing to Opera. Pavarotti was a favorite. His father was Italian. His father passed before he gained his success. He's so determined and was sad he couldn't share his Success. ❤️⚘️
Dan inherited his Italian genes from his beautiful father so it's his training and it's in his blood to sing opera. Big Daddy Pavarotti lived and breathed opera, it was his bread and butter and he would be very proud of our dear Dan. Dan's vinceros were amazing and the last one was pure magic. He had tears in his eyes and I tear up also when I watch this which is often. Dan Vasc is the premier artist on TH-cam and the world as we know it! No one else even comes close! Thank you Sebs for your very astute reaction and I only watch reactions to our boy. Please keep doing them
Dan Vasc is not confined by the rules of classical singing. Instead, he allows himself to make changes while singing this opera aria, making the song sound even more powerful than we've known it before. He adds a sophisticated touch of metal to it and blows the aria out of the park.
Honestly, this is the best rendition of this song that I've heard. I've seen Pavarotti, Home Free, and many more perform this piece, but Dan's stands out as more pleasing to my ear for some reason, whether that is better sound engineering, or something else, I do not know. I've also seen some people criticize Dan's version because he doesn't quite hit some of the traditional vocal techniques quite right. All I can say to those people is: Dan's performance simply sounds better to my ear than any of the other performances I've heard.
Terrific commentary on a very lovely and emotional performance. It's hard to believe it's the same guy who can sing My Heart Will Go on and blow the roof off, isn't it? Dan is trained in both classical and contemporary techniques, which are actually quite different, although he can and does do both in some songs. Amazing Grace, for instance, starts off with very classical singing and later blasts off into metal. Good comment about the neck - I recently took a look at one of his very earliest videos, a Siege of Paris cover, because he does one of his 4 panel productions where the different takes are edited together to have him singing with himself. I was actually quite impressed with his creativity at such a young age, and pretty good editing skills as well. I felt that his voice was already there, but not yet properly trained. One thing that jumped right out at me was the strained cords in his neck. You never see that today, as Sebs said. Sorry, long-winded comment. Thanks very much for sharing your reaction to this, and for continuing to support the phenomenal Dan.
That’s “our Dan” bringing it home! He has said that this reminds him of his father and I’m sure that piles on the emotions! Opera was a genre that wasn’t really played in my home growing up, but WOW l just can’t stop listening to this!! ❤️🤟🏼❤️
Dan's mother is an opera singer and his father was involved in music, as well. I can't remember if he was a singer or a musician... or both. I know that Dan speaks 3, maybe 4 languages fluently and possibly more. I'm just so impressed by this young man... He's not even 30 and yet he's already mastered so many aspects of his craft. His talent seems to be limitless and he's a truly humble, down to Earth guy. I have to admit that I enjoy watching people's reactions to his music, as much as I enjoy listening to the pieces that he uploads to his channel. I especially love seeing folks who are experiencing his talents for the very first time and watching them be blown away by his incredible artistry. Awesome reaction, Sebs! If you haven't experienced it yet, I highly, highly recommend checking out his cover of "Gesthemane" from the Andrew Lloyd Weber rock opera, Jesus Christ Superstar. It's without question, the most moving and powerful performance that I've ever seen/heard from Dan and it leaves me with chills, no matter how many times I watch it! And, of course, it's always great to hear the perspective of a fellow #VascNation member! 😊
@@rjross1087 I heard it from Dan himself on a podcast that he was a guest on a few years ago. I can't remember the name of the woman who hosted it, but I believe she's a singer and comedienne. From what I recall, his mother hasn't performed publicly in recent years, but I think she might still teach music and singing.
Dan turned 34 the 13th of October... and his voice has continued to grow stronger, and better controlled since he recorded this... he is almost beyond belief
Right up there with the great Tenors of our Time.. also to note Dan actually sings the last verse twice, a very brave move, most tenors do not attempt to sing it twice as it is so taxing on the voice.. An emotional piece from a wonderful opera... and in my 72 years I have heard so so many Tenors sing this.. not saying the things I said just because it's Dan but because I know just how difficult this is for any artist that does not sing opera as a career. Bravo Dan and Thank you for such a great reaction Sebs.. love from UK as always
Amazing timbre and richness in his vocals enhances all his music. I never tire of listening to him in any genre he performs. Worth a sub for sure. Thank you for this.
❤ Dan.'s voice is so rich... this so Beautiful... it brings tears to my eyes. I love his version even better than Pavarotti's❤ And I love Pavarotti❤ Thank you so much Sebs And you are right Dan is so totally awesome ❤
Another great reaction to an awesome performer. According to his website he was being classically trained vocally. He studied hard and the results speak for themselves. Hail ❤️🤘✝️
I love your reactions to Dan. He so deserves that million. This song is so emotional for him to sing. His Father was Italian and loved this song. He passed in 2017 and never got to see that Dan was able to make a living doing what he loves. Such a powerful voice!
I love when you react to Dan! I can tell you are fanning as hard as the rest of us! This might be my favorite cover of Dan’s (it’s so hard to choose) because Nessun Dorma hits me in the feels every time and Dan is my favorite vocalist ever so it’s a perfect match. Thanks for your reaction!
Thank you for your reaction to this song! Youre always spot on. How come you dont have a play list of Dans songs you reviewed? What are you waiting for to react to Handels Messia Hallelujah Chorus in Dan Vasc style??
Sebs thank you for your explanation about the throat reaction. I have watched this video many times and have marveled at the control of the whole execution of how he reaches the notes! Always a pleasure to see your reaction to our Master Sir Daniel!!!🙏🏼🧔🏻♀️🫡🫶🏻👏🏼
First time hearing Dan Vasc, and what a treat to get a 101 course in opera singing via your review. I have a new appreciation for opera, which has never been a big part of my life. I've gone to operas, and enjoyed the "virtual video" aspect of them (having the characters on stage perform the story), but never really understood the technique involved. Thank You, Sebs! PS: he was awesome, and I looked up the English translation - what a wonderful song.
DAMN!!! I detest ads in the middle of a song! When TH-cam does this it just SUCKS! Dan ALWAYS sings his songs with emotion! It's part of what makes him so popular.
His emotion is due to the fact that his father was Italian and this opeta was the one he liked the most and listened to with Dan in the car. Beautiful tks ❤
One of the most beautiful pieces of opera ever written. Once I found a video of this piece where they had the captions for the song. It was a neat story line to see the translation was of what he was singing. Dan can sing anything and it will be great. Like most people, not all songs will be liked by a listener, but that doesn't mean that a song is bad. It just doesn't fall into a category that is liked by any one person. I have never heard a "bad" song by Dan Vasc. I still wonder, though, if Dan has ever done a Country & Western song. I'll keep looking for one. 😊
I'm so glad you could point out some of the particulars of the techniques needed to sing this. Dan Vasc singing this makes me like opera, at least this piece. It shows me what opera can bring to the table. And I am not a fan of opera. Or I wasn't. Amazing work.
Dan had singing classes with Ken Tamplin, who has a quick participation in Dan’s rendition of Disney’s Mulan. And yes, he got emotional with tears in his eyes, probably it reminds him of his Italian grandma and his father. I have never seen his neck muscles get stressed in any of his videos, actually his power comes mainly from his incredible lung capacity of holding a lot of air and of his strong diaphragm which can expel air steadily and powerfully. He’s got incredibly perfect vocal tools. That’s not by chance he’s a phenomenal and diverse singer.
❤❤Dan is singing this for his father who was Italian and it was his favourite song, and yes he is classically trained, Dan can sing the phone book🎉🎉such emotion
You have to listen to Dan sing Fairy Tail. I think you will love it. Love from Norway❤🇳🇴🇳🇴❤ I subscribed to you just because you told us to help Dan to reach 1mill
Sebs I love watching your reactions!🔥 ‘Puccini is such a gangster, man’. I was rolling when you said that!😂 PLEASE keep the Dan Vasc reactions coming!🙌🫶
I was so nervous to listen to him sing this, because I know he's got a very modern vocal style, and this is song is such a beautiful display for stellar opera singers. But, while he sounds a lot more contemporary than a really well trained opera singer, and it's not going to make the list of my favorite renditions of this song, he still gave a performance that is worthy of applause! I'm not going to be a snob about it, because I KNOW I could never come close to this kind of talent. It's okay to sing things a little differently sometimes! I do prefer for him to sing the power metal stuff, though. That's where he shines the most.
Not really an opera person but this gave me chills. Amazing Grace by him kept popping up and decided to watch and haven’t stopped. Dan is an amazing talent, and hope he gets his million subscribers he deserves it. A lot of hard work and it’s paying off.
This is one of my all-time favorite pieces of music. I've heard many singers do this, from Pavoriti to, unfortunately, Aretha Franklin. Although this is best known from Pavoriti, I was never that fond of his version. Of course, since he performed the opera, he did it as the opera version. This, and most other versions are the concert version. This being the first time that I've heard him sing, he now ranks up there with my favorites. The other male version that is on top is Jonathan Antoine. People may remember him from Britain's Got Talent singing with Charlotte Jaconelli. Although written for a male voice, two excellent female versions are Sarah Brightman and Jackie Evancho who sang it when she was 11.
Excellent reaction! Dan had ten years of formal lessons, and the emotion was probably partially driven by the fact that he and his dad listened to a lot of opera.
His father was Italian so he speaks Italian and they listened to Nessun Dorma together . I think that may be where the added emotion comes from. Your reactions on so good, I look forward to them all....especially Dan.
This song gets killed by Dan a have goosebumps all over and a have listen to this many times a love Dan. Thanks for react to more Dan and a am 63 and a supporter of Dan.👏🏽👏🏽🎸🎸🤘🏽🤘🏽💞💞🫂🫂🤘🏽🤘🏽
There are two videos of his that you need to react to, in the same video. Him singing the national anthem, and then react to his apology for doing it, you'll get a kick out of it I promise. The title of the apology video is, an apology
One of my favourites. I actually prefer Dan’s version over any other vocalist I’ve heard sing this…including Pavarotti! 🎙️🎶🎶🎶(Shocking, I know…but I know what I like!) I like bonus that he repeats the last verse too…otherwise it feels way too short.
I’m not sure if you have reacted to his video of Elvis Presley American trilogy that was his Dads favorite song by Elvis you can see how hard it is for him. His father passed away a week before, and he wanted to record this for his father. Elvis Presley was his dad’s favorite singer
I've heard this song performed live twice, once by 3 opera tenors at an Andre Rieu concert, and once by Andrea Bocelli. And i still prefer Dan's version, because of the level of emotion he puts into it - you can feel it, even if you're not watching the tears on his face. And also because of the timbre and fullness in his voice, which i believe is due to his metal training - he has an incredible range of overtones in every single note. Dan could, without a shred of doubt, outsing any operasinger.
He's crying, I'm crying .. so powerful, so emotional ..Is he as good as Pavarotti no, better .. Best I've ever heard of this opera ..There isn't anything he can't sing from ballads, to metal, to opera
Evening Sebs since you're checking out country music maybe you could listen to Pistol Annie's I Feel A Sin Coming on or better yet Carrie Underwood Before He Cheats. I'm a 73 yr. Great Grandmomma and have MAD RESPECT FOR YOU AND YOUR BEAUTIFUL WIFE ✌️♥️🙏🏻 PEACE,LOVE AND PRAYERS

I saw Pavarotti sing this live at Symphony Hall in Boston. Dans version had some super human power behind it. And the tease of metal in the low notes

There are two videos of his that you need to react to, in the same video. Him singing the national anthem, and then react to his apology for doing it, you'll get a kick out of it I promise. The title of the apology video is, an apology
Dan is beautiful!!!
so good. the best ever.
DAN, YES, ALWAYS
PWiehhhh ... no words ... Is there anything this man can not do ??????
One of my favourites. I actually prefer Dan’s version over any other vocalist I’ve heard sing this…including Pavarotti! 🎙️🎶🎶🎶(Shocking, I know…but I know what I like!)
I like bonus that he repeats the last verse too…otherwise it feels way too short.
Great Reaction to a phenomenal singer. In my opinion he's just as good as Pavoratti
There is of course only one Pavarotti, but if he were still alive i really think he would give Dan a standing ovation.
Magnificent!
Thanks!
Astounding!!!!!!! Also check out Sarah Brightman's version of Nessun Dorma from her concert at: th-cam.com/video/8h0EBwn3wlc/w-d-xo.html&start_radio=1
He's crying, I'm crying .. so powerful, so emotional ..Is he as good as Pavarotti no, better .. Best I've ever heard of this opera ..There isn't anything he can't sing from ballads, to metal, to opera
did you know his mother was an actual opera singer
Voiceplay just released their new video.... Sleeping In The Cold.
It is literally out of this world fantastic.
If you want to really see Dan's emotions, check out Son of Pain or American Trilogy. Unbelievable! ❤
Very nice reaction! Dan will be the special guest on tonight's Friday Night Tights episode if you want to ask your questions on there!
